The piece uses the ancient myth of the Sibyls--prophetesses who were often ignored--to explore how the pursuit of power leads to a tragic end when warnings go unheeded. It fused Kentridge's signature charcoal animation with powerful visuals, music, and dance. The result was inventive and powerful, and one of the best productions I've seen this year. I'd recommend checking their website to see what's on view before you go. This place is definitely worth a visit.

The smaller displays have Instagram filters while the big room is designed to visually surround the viewer in the beautiful palette of Monet's paintings. For a parent wanting a child to get inspired by classic artworks, here's a great starter trip before hitting the real museums. The gallery is brilliant white and tasteful. It's a stop when you make your gallery rounds and they open on Saturdays. I happened to visit during their opening night reception for Appropriate Disruption, a show with 7 artists including the standout twins How and Nosm exhibiting their latest fascinating joint endeavor (see my photo). Prices for the various art were not displayed. If you have to ask, you can't afford it LOL. It was cool that Jacob Lewis offered at least beer. So many galleries are going cheap with nothing or maybe some water. What happened to the good old days of wine and cheese?

I believe they offer free tours once a day - call and inquire as you can't walk around freely. Especially loved the John Chamberlain photographs where he used a wide lux camera to create "self-portraits of the nervous system." Would definitely recommend!
