Love her message, love her vibe, and love her voice. I love people who are unapologetically themselves. I look up to that. I really have to just walk around downtown more. I forget how many hidden gems there are. When I remembered the gallery was in SoHo, I stopped in my tracks, searched the address for the gallery and realized I was a block away. I almost ran when I found out and was blown away upon my arrival. All this rambling is to say, don't walk, run here. Ashley's staff is friendly, knowledgeable and so fun to talk to. All of her pieces are incredible and if I didn't have to still buy diapers for the kid, I would be investing in one of her pieces. Until then, I got her book "You don't look fat, you look crazy". There are ways you can support her by buying her card games, books or smaller pieces. I can't wait to dive into this book though. She also has one that focuses on prominent women in history and pop culture called Roar!. Yay, women! It's such a great gift for the strong women in your life. I previously bought this for my sister as a Christmas gift and she loves it. Also, I signed up for the email list, even though I was already on it. Ashley has a thing called a Saturday series. The spaces are almost always bright and white. It's always free. But I really enjoyed Martin Eder's exhibition here. It was sexy, forbidden in a way. LGBTQ. Weird, whimsical (lots of cats and goats interspersed with the sexy bodies and same sex relationships). Also some vignettes of death and mortality. How can you complain about a place that brings you art for free?

I called after 5 weeks, nicely asked him to do in the next 10 days so that I would be ready for my Easter family reunion. It was promised it would be done. I called on April 7, was told it was " The Next Job He Will Do Today" and will be done "by the end of this week". The next 2 weeks nothing happened. Not even an apology call. I went on April 20 at 6pm. I picked up an Unframed painting after 2 months being there untouched. As an explanation, he said he had just finished a Big Job for a Few Thousand Dollars (so my "little job" wasn't important? He was working on some small frame when I came in though and said my painting was " The Next Job He Will Do Today" ha,ha. ...By then I knew what it meant! I don't think he needs any work like mine, I don't think he respects his customers because I was the one who always called him and on the top of this he took me for woman whom he could lie to all the time . His shop name should be read "Next job I'm going to do"!

They were well taken care of, exposed to different art mediums, and encouraged in their choice of artworks. I wish we could've had them in camp for more weeks, but we had a busy summer and filled their time with many activities throughout--this was just one of the best weeks they had, especially our son!
