I went on a gallery hopping with my friend. We stumbled upon this studio and was immediately drawn by the bright colors and bold portraits. Loved seeing Ashley Longshore's artwork and the whole installation was very empowering and motivating, especially in the context of the recent Women's History Month. The gallery was larger than expected with 2 floors. Again I enjoyed seeing the vibrant decor from wallpaper to flooring. Emma was very energetic and helpful in answering questions. She offered to take pictures for us and invited us back to future events. I'm in no place to buy any pieces, but I still felt very welcomed (unlike some other galleries). Overall, we had a great time and would recommend others to check out Longshore's art and gallery!

I bet real-life Ashley Longshore is a riot! A force of nature! Her gallery on the Lower East Side is a bright, colorful, full of sparkle, and sass! Longshore is a self-taught artist and her pieces focus on woman empowerment/feminism, inclusiveness, breaking down the patriarchy. She uses words like c*nt and b*tch. She makes bedazzled middle fingers. She got Jeff Bezo's squinky eye perfect in her anti-oligarchy/billionaire piece (there are more pieces like this featuring Gordon Gecko of Wall Street fame and Bill Gates). She made a beautiful pink and bejeweled tribute queen Marsha P. Johnson. She also has some pieces focusing on hiphop artists and luxury brands. We were greeted warmly and enjoyed looking around. Definitely an instagrammable place. I loved the rainbow stairs and neon! So much to take in, I will have to return to check it out again.

What a super fun studio this was to visit! The artwork was bright, colorful, fun and cheeky. I don't think I've ever experienced anything like it! I found myself wanting so many pieces in there and love her vibrant? unique take on the world. The staff allows you to leisurely view the artwork and take photos, and is quickly available for questions about pricing or the pieces themselves. If you find yourself in New Orleans, I highly recommend stopping by Ashley Longshore Studio Gallery!

Love love love! I cannot describe the fabulousness! Just go check it out already. The staff is knowledgeable and kind, that art is incredible. There are a few smaller pieces like a tote bag, so that there is a price point for everyone.

Super disappointed. I thought I would walk into a fun, party like atmosphere but when we were let in, we barely got a hello and then we were ignored. My favorite studio in San Antonio always has music playing and champagne flowing. I assumed this place would be even better. I went with money to spend and ready to buy but left empty handed.

Her art is outstanding!!! I'm obsessed with her artwork, creations and style. I love how she used color in this piece. So bright, vibrant, chic and asthmatic!! I'm so excited to see what she create next ;)

It's hard not to peek in the window and then pound on the door to be let into this bright, obnoxious (in the best of ways), outspoken gallery of Ashley Longshore. I thoroughly enjoyed every nook and cranny of this studio. From hand-beaded clutches dripping in sarcasm, to oversized chairs of butterflies and PINK PINK PINK everywhere, I smiled at every clever saying and middle finger thrown my way. I wasn't familiar with Ashley Longshore prior to passing by, but now am a super fan! Following her on Instagram and hoping she comes my way soon.

This is my all time favorite artist. The gallery is incredible and they allow you to take pictures with her stunning, hilarious artwork. The gallery reflects her wonderful personality. Give her a follow on Instagram, you won't regret it. When in NOLA I encourage you to stop by and appreciate her art. And if you're a badass, then buy some. I love her acrylic trays and bought one for myself.

Omg it's so beautiful in here! Everything is powerful, hilarious and beautiful. Support a WOB, a BOB. I wish I could have spent more time.

Pop icons in bold colors with racy phrases to accompany them- the art in this gallery is fun, energetic and sassy to no end! Though she specializes in paintings, Sarah Ashley Longshore, the diva behind it all, has a line of beautiful chairs- mostly antique in form, but popped out with bright colors and bold text. Definitely worth the visit- Even if you hate the art, the people are wonderful to talk to!

Took forever for any sales rep to open the locked front door to allow us in. No one asked us if we wanted any help. We walked around the gallery for at least 20 min with a book I wanted to buy before I poked my head in their break room to ask if I could buy the book. There were at least 8 people working. Then I proceeded to ask questions about custom art and it was like pulling teeth to get any information. The artwork is AMAZING but the sales associates need to step up their game or they will miss another $5k+ sale

They have the 19th St and 20th St galleries in Chelsea, as well as a gallery on Walker Street and another on E 69th. We stopped by the gallery on W 19th to see "The Great Unseen Collection: A Selection of Works from Joel and Carole Bernstein," which was great and included works by Milton Avery, Romare Bearden, Audrey Flack, Alex Katz, and Alice Neel! (The exhibition closes on June 13 if you want to see it.) The gallery was on the smaller side but very minimalist, clean, and beautiful. (Across the street from 525 W 19th, is another David Zwirner gallery at 533 W 19th that has an exhibit of Lisa Yuskavage, so stop by that location as well if you're interested!) After our visit, I signed up for David Zwirner's email newsletter so I can keep up with future exhibits. The gallery's shows are museum-quality, and I look forward to visiting again in the future!

It had a good variety of art and enjoyed, the most common thing was many different forms of butterfly art. Lots of eye catching things and plenty of pieces to make you think. It is a smaller sized gallery so you can easily visit and admire the art with a short amount of time. Which I definitely recommend was a great place to get away from the large holiday crowds of 5th Avenue. There were a number of people working for the gallery who I assume could answer any questions you have about a specific piece. Not a clue on prices, but assume they are pricey. If you are a fan of art check this out!

The art studio is two levels, but apparently, in order to peruse the second level, you have to be "somebody" in this world -- meaning, affluence, influence, ya know....you better have that paper. I don't have that kind of paper, so my humble self stayed on the lower level lol. The selections were unique, some were comical, and simply fun to look at. The pieces are definitely pricey, but it was nice to see the art and dream of a mansion with expensive pieces adoring the walls. I'd say give this place a visit if you need something to do while in the city. 10/10
