There was plenty of room for everyone. The main indoor space holds several tables and is equipped with a kitchen and restrooms. We also used a smaller barn for serving guests and used the huge lawn for vendor and beverage tents. There was also plenty of room on the grounds for a variety of food trucks and display cars for a car show. A full band was set up in an area large enough for a nice bandstand. I spoke with a woman who volunteers regularly at the venue. She had nothing but nice things to say about the management. Every inch of the grounds was clean and well-maintained. I'd definitely recommend it for events and special occasions.

I didn't realize how close I was to Mt Clemens and what it had to offer. I've noticed several interesting places to try food wise. It looks like just a great place to walk around and enjoy. I saw bowling nearby and a musuem, so I know there are other things to do than just eat. I can't wait for the weather to get better so we can try walking around a bit. I love experiencinng new areas with rich history and a great atmosphere. The places we have visited are friendly. I will admit the road was a bit confusing at first, but I imagine it gets easier as you visit more. With similar names I have heard before like Main St and Cass, I imagine we will make just as many new memories here, as the other city areas!

Most of the restaurants and bars are open downtown, and all are within easy walking distance from each other. This year, New Year's Eve festivities start at 4pm for the younger folks, with kiddie fireworks at 9pm. Then, at 9:30pm the regular festivities begin. The grounds are kept up.  There is a beautiful mural on the fence surrounding the yard.  There is a studio on the basement for exercise, dance and other things.  Computer training, reading and community involvement is all available.  It's a great place if you are looking for neighborliness, training and information.  It's all about family and community at the Osborn Brilliant House. I had a great time there with Director Bradley.  She took time to go over the facility with me and explain what is being offered.  After talking with her I knew what was up and what was available for me and what I could offer.  It's a great partnership and a shining example of the Spirit of Detroit. Here's a little more in their own words - "We met Mr. Preston when we were considering the move to our newest Brilliant Detroit home in the Mohican-Regent neighborhood of Osborn. He heads up the neighborhood group leading change in his area and we connected immediately thanks to the recommendation of Quincy Jones and Kayana Sessoms of Osborn Neighborhood Alliance. This marker is in front of a beautiful home in a lovely residential neighborhood that is a suburb…read moreof Detroit. A wealthy one, at that. The house is a two-story Colonial design and is the oldest brick house in Grosse Pointe. The marker has the same text on both sides. It reads, "William Buck, an English immigrant farmer, built the main part of this house around 1849. It has fourteen-inch thick walls and is the oldest brick house in Grosse Pointe. The rear clapboard addition, built elsewhere, dates from the 1880s. Henry Russel, an attorney and businessman, bought the house in 1901. In 1912 it became the home of his daughter, Helen Wardwell, and her husband, Harold. She lived here for sixty-five years. In 1977 the property was acquired by the Grosse Pointe Memorial Church as a bequest of Helen Wardwell." The marker indicates that it was erected by the Michigan History Division in 1981. There is room on the street for parking but it is private property and is surrounded by a low picket fence. We were here on bicycles so it was easy to view and appreciate. I grew up in the…read moresurrounding area and I have fond memories of my mom spinning stories of what it looked like inside and of the underground tunnel and bowling alley. My visit did not disappoint! The event we attended had it all. There was food, Motown music, karaoke, and dancing. This historic home is beautiful and kudos to the home owners for keeping such great care of it. The home is a treasure.

My husband is a chamber member with his local business…read more Royal Oak chamber is one of the more active of all chambers in the area of Michigan. They do a lot of ribbon-cutting events and often. They also have a once a month nightly chamber event as well as weekly events in and around the local businesses. They often to get together in the morning for a Royal Oak chamber network event as well. They do a lot of ribbon-cutting events and often. Of all the chambers that I've been introduced to, this is one of the most active of all of them. We've been invited and participated in many chambers events over the years. Royal Oak chamber has key staff members that plan, organize, coordinate and schedule all of these great events. They do a lot of fun activities as well. I went to some evening network events at diamonds steak House, gusoline alley, Rock on 3rd, Mesa tacos and tequilas and at Pronto with karaoke. If you join any chamber, this should be the one.

To begin, this review is only for the outside grounds around the Civic Center and all that is…read moreoffered to both see and do. We're very familiar with the main library adjacent to the Clinton Township Civic Center, but we never explored the outdoor areas right around here. We began with a scenic walk around the grounds on a nicely paved path which has pretty wildflowers along with a tree lined pathway that winds around the perimeter of the grounds. On your walk, you'll see the very nice, fenced in dog park along with the popular winter sledding hill in the far back of the property. The Senior Center is adjacent to both the pathway and dog park so everything is well condensed whether you are walking the trail, taking your pet for exercise or enjoying winter on the sledding hill. By the way, when passing by the Senior Center, take a moment to look at the beautiful Senior Adult Life Center Garden Of Life. It's worth the few extra moments to take it all in. From pretty flowers to the vegetables where 80% are harvested for donation to local charities, it's a very nice area to pause and take it all in. In the front of the Civic Center is a war memorial dedicated to those brave men and women who fought for our freedom. You'll also find a memorial plaque dedicated to those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attack. Next to these memorial tributes is a pretty stone walkway leading to a beautiful fountain with stone seats to sit and reflect if you so wish. With plenty of parking for the Civic Center offices, Senior Center and all of the activities, it's always easy to find a parking spot. One more thing to mention for the Civic Center building, the drop off ballot box is located right in front of the building for drive up easy access. There's also an area nearby the Civic Center with picnic tables closer to the front of the grounds where outdoor gatherings can take place along with a playground for the kiddos. There's a little lake with a pretty fountain where fishing is allowed as long as you catch and release. Areas dedicated to sports can also be found on the grounds near the Civic Center. From soccer fields for the younger groups to a full size field for adults, to pickle ball and baseball, this area has every age in mind when it comes to activities. If you choose a longer walk, this area also lets you connect to the Clinton Township Tomlinson Arboretum trail, which is another nice walking path across the road from the main library. So as you can see, there's plenty to do and see. I was pleasantly surprised as to all this area has to offer.

(Though I won't call it a hive of scum and villainy). This is really a beautiful government building with a lovely fountain in front. When I was there it was peppered with seagulls and and ocean flavor to the air The service at the desk was clear and polite they have access to all the latest bits of technology Not difficult to find your way around either. It was a very good experience.
