However, the company she had used in the past wouldn't call me back. I found MetalArc using Google. And I'm beyond happy I did. First, their commitment to their craft is top notch. The level of refinement that we were looking for with these doors was not a hurdle they shied away from but rather they accepted the challenge and worked side by side with me to get it exactly right. We hired Metal Arc to fabricate and install custom steel shelving. I want to be fair from the…read moreoutset -- the shelves do look good now -- but getting to that outcome was far more stressful and frustrating than it should have been for a custom fabrication project. There were multiple measurement errors throughout the process. They mismeasured twice and had to come back to redo work, which felt sloppy and avoidable given the scope and cost of custom metalwork. More concerning were the alignment issues: the shelving did not align cleanly with the wall or even with itself. Metal Arc did not take accountability for these issues, and I was genuinely surprised that they considered this an acceptable finished deliverable. Because this was never properly resolved by Metal Arc, we ultimately had our painter use black tape to visually hide the gaps. That solution felt lazy and disappointing, and not something I expected to need after paying for custom work. Scheduling also added to the frustration. They were extremely evasive about confirming an installation date, which made it difficult to coordinate other contractors and keep our overall project on track. Communication throughout was another challenge. David was often long-winded and repetitive, which caused simple issues to drag on unnecessarily. He was also surprisingly aggressive about me not being present for a walkthrough, despite my husband being there, checking in multiple times, and being told by David's brother that he was "just there for measurements." I do believe they want to do good work, but they lack business professionalism, clear communication, and accountability. That combination created a lot of stress and uncertainty about whether we were actually going to reach a finished result. In the end, aside from the taped workaround, I'm happy with how the shelves look -- but the process was exhausting enough that I would proceed very cautiously or look elsewhere next time.

Should have been a 5 star experience; it was a 2.5 star experience…read more On Day 2 of an estimated four day job, the owner of Colorado Fence and Deck showed up unnanounced to do a "walk through" while the work was ongoing. Shortly after, the crew left before all of the agreed upon work was completed. Crew lead returned later the same day to complete the work after I discussed my concerns with the owner. Within a couple of days, a deck floor board (actually two boards pieced together) near the deck entrances began to make noise when stepped on. The owner confirmed that he was aware that two boards were used when I expressed my concern. We set up another day for someone to come out and address the issue. The crew lead arrived on the agreed upon date and completed the replacement, as well as adjusted the fence gate repair that was already not working correctly. The request for the fence gate to be addressed was not communicated to the crew lead even though I included it in my appointment confirmation text. To date, the adjusted gate is currently working as expected. Unfortunately, the deck board that was replaced is also moving and is making noise, suggesting that the board is not secured as the other floor boards of the deck (which are not making noise). This problem is obvious by sound and feel, even when the dog walks on the deck board. As noted by another reviewer, some of the boards used on the deck probably should have been set aside for a more consistent quality deck floor. To date, the owner of Colorado Fence and Deck has not followed up to confirm that all of the repair work was completed satisfactorily. To be clear, the work has not been completed satisfactorily.

I helped him with getting the order loaded on our trailer and we went on our way. The materials were top notch and much cheaper for a better product than we would have gotten from the box stores. We went with 72" pickets 5.5" wide and 3/4" thick. The fence job turned out awesome. We have some more stuff for our garden to build and any new fencing stuff will be purchased from Integrity.
