Aloha, as we chase M'*d restaurants, a pub in London has a star for 10 years! Whose awesome pre fixe dinner creatively presented with choices. So ono and reasonable priced. Great bar drinks, beers and fun atmosphere. Great service, very attentive. No walk-ins so make your Rez ahead of time. A hui hou (till we meet again) as I'd definitely dine here again. Mahalo

We came for a late lunch with an absolute empty stomach but we were sooooo full we can barely fit in the dessert. £65 per person for a three course menu but a supplemental £7.50 for the sirloin. There's a special steak for a supplemental £12.50 but we thought might try their standard first. Alcohol is very high quality- I had the white wine (forgot which one but I always op for the second cheapest) and it was very very luxurious. My friend had the beer with champagne and it was very interesting in the best way. We chose the pate and onion tart for our starter. Very tasty - perhaps we are hungry - and we literally inhaled it. The deer - loved it as I'm a big fan of gamy stuff. It's on the salty side though so pair it with a potato is perfect. It was very yummy. Sirloin was very nice actually. I was so skeptical because steaks are very tricky but they did it beautifully. All the sides are great especially the giant crispy Yorkshire pudding but the only thing is they only gave us two strips of carrot :( By the time it's dessert, we are already so full that we debate about packing it to go. This says a lot because we usually try to finish our food. But god that was good. It was so good that even with a max out stomach, I still found it tasty. And I'm not a dessert person. The bill comes to around £180 with 3 drinks in total. Not cheap but the quality was definitely there. Never have I ever had such a posh pub meal before. Haha

Food 6/10 Great meal, but it was just not the type of food I enjoy the most. Scottish venison eggs and onion tart were the highlights of my meal. It was overall quite a rich and hearty meal, with no breaks, as we started with the rich scotch eggs, had some complimentary rye bread with whipped butter (delicious and warm), and ended with deer, mushrooms, in a creamy and heavy sauce. My stomach was not at its best when we ended this meal, but I did enjoy getting a chance to try the flavors. Atmosphere 7/10 Very much a gastropub vibe. Dark wooden interior with fur decor (no clue if it's real or not). We were seated in a snug corner, vibes. Service 5/10 Even though we were seated at 8:30, we didn't get to our main until 10pm, so it was quite a delayed meal. Wish it was faster, they were not as attentive as I had hoped.

Dinner at Harwood Arms was absolutely exquisite from beginning to end. It's the only Michelin-starred pub in London, and although it's definitely a posh experience dining here, it doesn't feel stuffy or pretentious. It still has a level of comfort. The staff was attentive and patient. One member of our group got an important phone call from her son in the United States and had to step out to talk to him for a few minutes, and they gave us some space and never made us feel like we were wasting their time as they waited to take our orders. The food is absolutely fantastic. From the wonderful brown bread and perfectly creamy butter, to every other bite of food that graced our table. The onion tart was exceptional, the tomato was so perfectly balanced with the most adorable little croutons for texture, all of our main courses and especially the best potatoes ever, which were twice cooked, boiled and then fried in GARLIC BUTTER! They were so crispy and delicious. I couldn't get over it. Dessert too absolutely hit the mark. This meal was another one of those totally memorable, totally must bookmark this spot and return on any future visit to London because it was truly that good. It is worth going out of your way to eat here, trust me.

We really loved The Harwood Arms. It is such a pleasure to have exceptional food in a casual, relaxed setting. The dining room is rustic and cozy. And even though The Harwood Arms is a pub, the service is top notch. The food is classic British cooking with a focus on game and wild meat. My favorite dish was the venison scotch egg with Oxford sauce. It was beautiful with a runny golden yolk. My only complaint is that it came out with instead of ahead of my starter as requested. The thyme flavored sauce on the rabbit lasagne was phenomenal. The Berkshire Fallow Deer was perfectly cooked and served with mushrooms and onions. They had dessert special, a date custard tart, that we were lucky to get. I also enjoyed their gin list and tried three different English gins, each one delicious. I highly recommend it.

I came here for dinner and absolutely loved it! The staff knew we were celebrating, so they gave us a card and an additional dessert. Those were very nice touches. It's nice that it's a prix fixe menu, so we were able to try every course. For my drink, I had the Kir Britannia, which was very good. For my starter, I had the seasonal vegetables, which came with smoked trout. It was absolutely beautiful to look at, and it was amazing! For my main, I had the fallow deer, which was also great! Our server gave us smashed potatoes with it, and they complemented each other nicely. For my dessert, I had the lemon thyme panna cotta, and it was so refreshing! We also had the apricot ice cream, and it was full of apricot flavor! Everything was outstanding, and I really recommend trying it out! The workers are really great, too!

Service was great! Seated promptly. Food is cooked above restaurant and lowered in these dumb waiters. So cool! The venison was perfect. Didn't taste gamey at all! I didn't like the taste of a ground meat in my dish but it was okay. The beef short Rib was tender. Really loved the onion tart and Scotch egg. It was a great experience.

Great atmosphere, fish and chips was fantastic . Bar was an upbeat mix of all ages. Weight staff was very professional and friendly

Used to love this place. Came every time I visited london. Wanted to bring my son for Sunday Roast but they don't accommodate food allergies. Definitely don't deserve to keep their Michelin star and I will be certain to share that with my friends there as well.

Amazing game offerings in a tasteful and adventurous setting. Excellent service staff. Don't miss this gem!

Everyone knows that when in London, you gotta find yourself a proper English Sunday roast, or you might as well not bother traveling to this city at all. Naturally, I spent an embarrassing amount of time searching all of Internet for the perfect place, and I'm going to make this bold statement - I found it. Not convinced? The Harwood Arms is the only pub in London with a Michelin star, and I simply could not pass up on something that cool while visiting England. My boyfriend and I split the Sunday Roast for two, and I would be impressed/terrified/confused if someone could eat this thing alone (we went home with enough leftovers for two more portions). This was a feast! The entree came with bacon-wrapped deer shoulder, buttery roasted potatoes and carrots, sautéed kale, cauliflower croquettes, gravy, creamy horseradish sauce, and two giant bone marrow Yorkshire puddings. In addition to all that, we started out our meal by splitting the venison Scotch egg appetizer - zero regrets about that decision. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The only tiny complaint is that our giant leftover Yorkshire puddings or the Scotch egg were for some reason not packed up with our leftovers, and my heart broke just a bit upon this discovery. I feel like I got a better Sunday Roast experience than I could've ever hoped for. This dinner is worth the splurge, distance, or whatever other excuse anyone could come up with for not coming to this awesome restaurant. I'm still proud of myself for finding this gem and managing to score the very last reservation of the night.

The featured four course menu was priced at 90 quid per person. I passed on that offer. Located on a quiet residential street. If you are driving, you may even find a parking spot (no guarantees). Maybe that's too harsh, I had a great meal here with some dear friends. The food was good, but my goodness you couldn't get a drink or the bill to save your life! Was visiting London so of course I had to go over to East Putney, the hottest spot in the metro area. Luckily I have friends there so we journeyed down to Hudson's for dinner. Not much of a beer selection. Peroni on tap was all they had for draft. The food was all good. Starters: Fried Camembert- eaten in a flash. Very good. Potato skins- different from the ones we have in the US, but very good. They chop up the potatoes rather than scooping them out and refilling them Entree: Scampi and chips- Looked good, PW liked it. Burger- Nicely prepared, BS cleaned his place Dublin Chicken- This was my meal. As soon as I saw cheese and bacon, I knew I had to put this inside my belly. It was very good. They were out of the scotch egg appetizer, which disappointed me. But like I said, the food was tasty but I finished my first beer before the entrees came and didn't get another one until I had finished eating. It literally took 35 minutes to get the check. So if you're not in a rush and you don't get very thirsty, this is a terrific place. If you like to drink with your meal and don't want to spend three hours on dinner, not so much. Note: they add a 10% service charge automatically to the bill ___________________________________ RIP Whitney http://youtu.be/6J538b-OLRU

We ended up in Hudson's after two other options weren't available (NB Sushi 54 only does delivery on Friday and Saturday nights) and got a table with no problem. There's actually a lot of dining space but it's broken up into rooms and so feels cosy and like a proper bistro. There's quiet music which allows for easy conversation and generally has a nice buzz. We found service generally quick and attentive. I had potato skins with cheese and bacon to start (these are in strips not a whole half). It's a generous portion so share if you're not too hungry. For my main I had mussels which I thought were excellent - again a generous portion and the very butterym salty sauce was addictive (although may be too rich for some). Dessert options looked good too but was too full by then. Overall it's an odd menu - they have basically picked favourite dishes from every cuisine (e.g. nachos, thai green curry, shepherd's pie) but seem to be doing a decent job with them. I would definitely come back if in Putney in need of a relaxed and affordable dinner.

We arrived at 7.30pm for an evening meal, and first impressions were very positive. The decor is very nice - a bit stark and echoey for my taste, but that's a personal pression, nothing else. The staff were friendly and attentive - and the friendliness lasted throughout our visit. Sadly, the same cannot be said of the attentiveness. Orders were taken quickly and starters weren't too slow either. But that's were the attentiveness stopped. We waited at least 25 minutes between our starters being cleared and our mains appearing. And then it took half an hour for anyone to take our order for dessert - that's 30 minutes between being given the menu and being able to catch someone's eye to order. In total, our meal took 2hours and 15 minutes. Which is far longer than I'd ever expect of a three course meal, but which could have been forgiven if the food was exceptional. It wasn't. There was nothing desperately wrong with any of it, but none of it was truly exciting. Not once it turned up, at any rate. My starter - curried crab samosas - sounded really different, but fell flat, and was a disappointing start to the evening. The filling was a little boring, and not very crabby in flavour, and the pastry casings were a bit greasy. Which would become a theme. The raita that came with the samosas was the highlight - lovely and fresh and well seasoned. I'd have eaten more of that...but not of any of the rest. My main was a tart of English asparagus, leeks and Cornish Yarg if puff pastry, topped with salad. The tart itself was tasty enough - the leeks maybe a little creamy and a little too abundant, but the asparagus and cheese making up the difference. The major issue I had with this was that the plate was drizzled with oil, and the salad drenched in dressing. And when you put oil anywhere near puff pastry, it ends up tasting and looking oily. And excessive oil is not something I'm a fan off, so that rather ruined my main. We did wait for dessert, but regretted it. Sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and rum toffee sauce. The sauce was nice, the ice cream ok, and the sticky toffee pudding itself was both stodgy and tasteless. A disappointing end to a disappointing evening. I think the main problem with our visit is that we went for a meal, and The Jam Tree is better suited to being a wine bar or pub. As long as you're willing to be served at the bar, it seems great. The wine list is extensive, and the garden out the back looks like a lovely place to spend a few hours. So whilst my visit was disappointing, and probably won't be repeated, I wouldn't entirely write the place off.
