It's been almost 10 years since we last came to the Haunted Forest, and I was happy to see so many improvements and fun additions since my last visit. My friends and I made a night of it, with dinner beforehand. We all gathered together at the entrance and were able to take photos together in the courtyard, awaiting our turn to go in (I appreciate the food stands available, that I'll take advantage of in the future). I loved the animatronics that would cause the jump scares! The actors were fun, but could have been a tad creepier to add to the effects. Next time I'll try the pass that allows the actors to touch you. It was a little difficult to find our cars after leaving the forest. Maybe in the future, there could be more indicators for parking lot rows? Great job! We had fun! read more

This was my first time at the Haunted Forest and it was a great experience! I didn't really do any research before I came, but was pleasantly surprised by what this haunted experience entailed. I was mostly shocked at how many vendors there were for food and things to see before you entered the trail. They had lots of sweet treats and burgers to purchase if you're hungry before you go in! The waitlist to get in once you've arrived isn't too long and it's nice that they have staggered entry times to avoid as much bottle necking as possible. There are a lot of actors running around ready for photo ops as well as animatronics to look at as well in the "Graveyard". The trail itself had a good variety of themed "houses" to walk through and overall, a great time! read more

Haunted Forest in American Fork is such a blast--and at $44 per person ($38 ticket + $6 tax), it's well worth the price for a night of spooky fun. I hadn't been in years, and I was genuinely impressed by how immersive the experience has become. From towering 10-foot animatronics to tight crawl spaces and surprise slide drops, the layout keeps you on your toes. I loved the variety of themed rooms and the clever mix of indoor and outdoor elements. Just when you think you need a breather from the close encounters, you're back outside navigating rickety bridges and eerie tunnels. It's a great balance of thrill and atmosphere. This haunt isn't about extreme scares--it's more about creative setups and creepy vibes, which makes it perfect for those looking to scratch that Halloween itch without being totally terrified. That said, I wouldn't recommend it for young kids or toddlers. The path includes uneven terrain and some pretty gruesome, realistic scenes that might be too intense for little ones. If you're hungry, they also offer food and snacks onsite. From campfire smores and kettle corn. My only recommendation was the parking lot situation was a little rough coming out of the Forrest. Since there wasn't much light and visual indicators to help identify where you parked. Some small signage would be helpful. Throwing an idea out there. Names like Apple Lot/Row or Dracula Lot/Row would be fun and helpful. Overall, Haunted Forest delivers a fun, immersive experience with plenty of surprises. This was so much fun! The scarers did a great job. The line wasn't too long and there was plenty of entertainment while waiting in line. I don't feel like we needed the fast pass version. They spread out the groups really well, but about half way through we all ended up clumped together. Some of the scaring rooms, slides, and other attractions were creepy and awesome. Near the end some of the parts felt repetitive and didn't have any scarers. I feel like it could have been 10 mins shorter and the scaring would have been more effective. read more

This was my first haunted Halloween experience and man oh man what a wild ride it was. I went with a group of friends and waited in line for an hour to enter the forest and have our tickets checked. Just a note the porta potty's are outside in the parking lot. The width of the line was really wide and I'm grateful that we had a bit of buffer space between the next isle. It was a bit tough to have the snack shop open right into the lines, people were constantly moving past you to get to it or return to their group. Once we entered the forest the theming for each scene was dynamic and there was a lot of thought put into the layout. But I think there was just a tad too many animatronics, they got old after awhile especially the audio. Loved the Stranger Things area, super cool! I really enjoyed how we changed in elevation throughout the walk. Climbing stairs/going up ramps and even two slides! Totally caught me by surprise. The actors did a good job, it was a bit hard on them to scare our large group. We tried to leave gaps with the group in front of us to have more scare opportunities but the other group just walked sooo slow. This was the first year for us and what a blast. We screamed, we laughed, we did run (a bit) and we got to slide down a few slides too! Actors were great and having this all outdoors make it that much more special. On top of that, we did this on Friday the 13th. We got there around 7:45pm and the line was about 45 mins but they have photo opportunity areas, actors waking around in & around the crowd, a bit of a show (say hi to Wednesday for us), and a snack shake too. Be sure to wear walking shoes and layers too. Appreciated waiting in line to allow for people to have breaks and not be over crowded. As you get closer to the end, you do catch up with people, but hard to control that. My husband originally was not that thrilled to go but at the end he said we have to do it again next year! read more

Surprisingly amazing!!! It took about 45 mins to walk through for us (we went slow), and really enjoyed the set design and scares!!! We did go on a Friday so they had a lot of scare actors. They were perfectly timed and my nerves were shot afterwards. We paid extra for the VIP, and it was totally worth it. We skipped an hour long line. It was great. If you want an outing this fall spooky season with friends and family, this place is it. There were 12 ppl in our group and we took a chance and took our 4 young children including a 4 and 2 yr old! At first, they were a little scared but when the actors saw them, they completely went out of character and were so nice to my kids. My 2 yr old made a friend named Frankie haha it was so awesome! Other reviews helped us with tips including that this is not a place for strollers. We carried our toddlers or let them walk and when there were really scary moments, we just covered their faces and most of the actors just let us pass and left us alone. There are 2 slides that you have to go down. The 2nd one, some of us banged into each other and then 2 others not in our group came and banged into us after so be careful to get up as soon as you can. You can't see who's at the bottom of the slide. It is pretty pricey at $30 per person + $7 more if you want a fast pass. But it was worth it for us as a family outing. Kids 6 and under are free so that saved us $60. The sets and animations were pretty cool. You can tell they put a lot of detail into it. Also be prepared to walk. Online, it says 30 but they told us at the gate, its 50 min. We had an awesome time and just hung out for another 15 minutes taking pictures by the fire as none of us wanted to leave yet lol read more

The line moved fast but it made the actual haunted forest get backed up for the last half of the experience. Most of the thing is animatronics that are just loud and obnoxious not scary. And the few paid actors just walked by you with knives or stood there saying stuff. They didnt jump out at you at all. I want my money back honestly, but I also know its hard to keep people employed these days so thats why I'm not giving them one star. There were a few parts that got me but for the most part I was bored and wanted it to end. This would be a kiddish one to take more mature kids too, not that I would recommend it for children but its not very scary. Also they tried to get people to buy fastpasses by saying the line was an hour and 45 minute wait and it it took us less than an hour to get through the normal line. Near the beginning of the beginning of the trail, one of the actors called my fiance fat and made her cry. We couldn't enjoy the rest of the night because of that. It was one of the hillbilly women characters. They were staying in character but it there's no excuse for it. It ruined the whole experience. read more

We had a great time! It's probably a medium scare factor. The big haunted houses in SLC are much scarier. We arrived at 7:50 and bought the fast pass. In the forest by 8:00. Honestly, one of, if not the best spookalley that I've been to. Best in smaller groups, and an absolute blast, the cast was into it. There was a huge variety of different settings and themes, and telnet all were unique and well spaced. There was a stage for everyone. From graveyards, to parts that made you feel as though you were going underground. Amazingly put on. 11/10 would go again. I reccomend this to everyone and anyone. read more

This is probably the best Halloween spook alley experiences I have ever had. Great talent of all ages, and lots of winding trails, creepy tunnels, a scary chute/slide and plenty of jump scares to keep you laughing. I really loved the variety here and the setup, at moments you are walking through a cornfield and then the landscape dramatically changes to forests and creepy hollows that you must traverse. The fact that it's outside adds even more creepy ambience than I had anticipated. Lots of visible security here, which was nice and surprisingly did not detract at all from the environment or experience. Staff here was extremely friendly and we had a lot of fun. read more

My friends and I planned this last minute to go to the Haunted Forest in American Fork. The location is kinda remote if your not familiar with American fork. We used GPS and got lost but finally found the place. It's definitely remote away from the highway and neighborhood. Parking was easy to find o think because we went on a week day. I would recommend dressing in warm and something you can walk in without hurting your feet. The ticketing process was fast. $25 dollars for general admission. The atmosphere is definitely a haunted Forrest. All the actors played their part good. Just be ready to walk and be scared. I would recommend to bring a group of friends or family just to make it more fun and exciting! read more

2018 Haunted Forest is terrible! It is NOT worth $25 even if it was $10 would be over priced. First don't go on a Monday they have no actors just little kids who break character. The Freddy Kruger was all fat and jacked up. It was decent last year but this year was SO PATHETIC I had to write a negative review so that if the cared they would do something about it. Don't waste your time this year go somewhere else where they care about the art and not just trying to rake in bucks! I thought that this was really fun! The price for tickets I think is a bit much, but considering these current times, it was one heck of a thrill! They do a great job at scaring you by coming from different directions with different things. Today 10-13-2018 a friend and I went to the haunted forest (this is both our second time in YEARS) so we were excited to see what was new. We got to skip the long because they said it was a 1.5hr wait and we did not want to be in the cold so that was neat. There were some parts that were scary but I feel like the place could take advantage at the fact that they are outside ! Like hang something from the tree and when someone steps on a certain rock have it swing down at you, that would be cool! Or with the themed houses have more actors there and add some fog or something. Most of the things through the forest were animated robots which are neat for extras but I'm here to scream and run because someone is chasing me with a chainsaw ! Overall 3/5 stars because they did have some parts that made my friend and I jump and we were able to skip the line but definitely would tell management to ramp it up ! read more

If you want to spend $25 bucks to not really get scared due to the lack of actors, be cold and walk a mile this is your place. There are way to many animatronics it seems like they spent all there money on that so they don't need to pay actors. The actors were also really young and were timid. My husband said this place use to be good back in the day but not so much any more. Thanks to a good dinner and good friends the night was not a huge loss. If I could give this haunted attraction zero stars, I would. For the price that they charge to scare its customers I expected pee myself, or cry, but, I waited in a long line throughout the whole attraction. Always was stuck waiting behind the group in front of us to walk through the next exhibit. There were multiple points throughout the walk where you would get lost in the dark, and there would be no jump scares to pounce on your helpless confusion. What a shame. Every year we make the drive from Idaho down to American Fork and bring a bunch of my kids friends to go through The Haunted Forest. I'm not a fan of most of these places but the Haunted Forest is honestly next level! I've been going here since I was in college and it's legit the best money you can spend on a haunted event!! It last 45 mins- 1 hour and is SO CRAZY creative and scary and fun!! My little girl (5yrs old then)went a few years ago and loves it too! Its fun for all ages and they truly the coolest ideas! I 100 percent recommend going!! Don't forget to grab hot cocoa and a snack before you get in line. There's a fun stage with a creepy performance happening while you watch the movie that tells about what you'll see. They get you all sorts of nervous and jumpy so that when you go in it's extra fun! We've already been once and we'll make it at least one more time to go through with our college kids! We love The Haunted Forest!! ‍‍‍‍ read more

This place is awful. First off the people are bad at acting. They were just sitting around and not actually trying to scare you. Some parts were new from last year which I liked. Second one of the actors broke my friends finger and the guy who did it was a complete asshole about it. He should take full responsibility for it instead of telling her that she's fine. One of the managers only suggested to walk her out of the forest, not even to receive help or have someone look at it. It is also impossible to get in contact with them. They spam the sky with searchlights. This is very inconsiderate to any backyard astronomers living within a ten-mile radius. I am exposed to ads everywhere--online, TV, radio, billboards... Go spend your money ANYWHERE else. First, they do not try to space separate groups. We were basically walking in a line of people through the entire haunt. So naturally, nothing was a surprise because you saw it happen to the three groups you could see in front of you. Second, they have very few actors, it's mostly animatronics which of course don't provide any surprise or scare. Third, the lines to buy tickets and get in are extremely unorganized. If you buy online skip-the-line tickets, they are worthless as there is no clear place to redeem those tickets, you just have to get in line with everyone else. Lastly, given all of these problems, this place is way overpriced. Don't waste your money. read more

Super fun and great for most ages. I love that it is actually in the "forest" and not just another haunted corn maze. Loved the costumes and actors.
