I bought VIP TICKETS for my bf and I and I wanted to say I had an amazing experience tonight, I was genuinely terrified to the point one of the scare actors continue staying in character but tried to still make sure I was ok because of him I was able to continue finishing the freighting show! Part of me likes to face my fears and he genuinely helped me continue! I was only just getting out the first part of the house entrance... didn't want to continue. The amount of detail put into this show/walk through was amazing. We are so happy and want to rate 5/5 stars due to our amazing experience especially as new idahoians, I've been to other haunted attractions in Seattle and this really was the best I experienced in terror, I genuine thought I was a character in a horror film, thank you for the experience, and for VIP I think it was a generous price as you guys deserve to charge more! I have gone to Haunted World a few times and enjoyed my experience, but this experience really tainted my view. I work for a tax exempt company and we hosted an event for our community members. I sent an email ahead of time (picture included) and they informed me they would take care of me. Upon arrival, I asked the ticket clerk about tax-exempt, showed him all our paperwork, and he called over one of his supervisors. Once he arrived, he had us step out of line and met us with anger. This man was aggressive towards us and would not work with us, saying that it is a "pain in the *** that they would have to cover our sales tax". After being told to come back another night once we figured things out, we did our own math and calculated a potential work around. I ended up buying a false ticket with my own cash to cover the sales tax and get our group through (the ticket clerk worked with us and I appreciate it). I am not one to complain often, but this entire experience was extremely unprofessional and showed how much miscommunication there is within the company. If I was told from the beginning that tax exempt was not offered, there would not have been an issue. Overall, I would not recommend this organization for any large group activities. read more

I know my Idaho natives are gonna hate this- and I don't mean to ruin "traditions" but Haunted World could be so much better if they changed things up a bit year after year. It's exactly the same every single time. I just can't justify the cost to attend if they aren't gonna change it up or add anything new. I know that it would be ineffective cost wise to redo the main maze, but there's surely some way to revamp it or add additional scares/attractions that could make it better. I just don't get how everyone goes back each year. It's like watching the same scary movie over and over and forgetting where the jump moments are. I can't get behind that. read more

I absolutely love this place with all my heart it is my favorite place to go during halloween.It is a great place to take all a ages of kids. I went here when I was mabye 10 and it was terrifying (in a good way of course). The actors know when to comfort you though. I was so scared and the actor came and let me push the Trigger to his chain saw and gave me a high five. Same thing happened when I went with my brother and his friend, they where do scared and the actor acane and played took paper soccer's with him. After that he felt that he wanted to go do the huanted house and even after that they still scared him but he wants to go back and has been waiting all year. They have amazing lights and animatonics. They also have amazing picture taking places where it looks like you've been cut in half! This place is super cool and scary and I 100% recommend going here at least once. read more

Terrible they herd you thru like cattle there was absolutely no spacing between groups just a big money grab there. It's bad to say because they have great props and tons of space to do it right. really bummed honestly, they have two attractions, a haunted house that takes maybe 10 minutes to get through, then a corn maze is the main attraction, me and my husband paid 80 bucks to get in, we've been in line for like 2 hours and have watched them let the people in, who bought the fast pass for 5 extra dollars, and completely neglect the huge line that people have paid to be in. like if we can't get in without paying a few extra bucks then don't even make it an option. i used to come but it's clear they're so money hungry that it's not even worth it. so dumb, and definitely won't be back. read more

they used to do a great job back in the day but NOW they are just money hungry: they have you pay an extra $5 for a "fast pass" and "VIP" and leave all of the other customers standing in lone for your that bought regular passes while they let everyone in fast pass through. The only thing scary about Haunted World is their prices. $40 did not justify what I experienced, especially compared to previous years where I paid half the price to get in. The actors were lackluster (probably because they get paid $10 an hour), and we were packed in there like sardines and barely got to see the set pieces. Overrated people jammed in nothing scary no one in my group or the 10 people in front or behind were the least bit scared. Including the one girl in our group of 8 who is afraid of horror movies. Not one squeak. We were packed like sardines and race walked through both "attractions". The people behind me kept jamming into me and ripping off my shoes because we are so bunched together and you could tell they just wanted to jam as many people through as possible as quickly as possible. My wife and I took our kid and her friend. The haunted house part was pretty cool. Awesome set pieces, super gruesome, and loud as hell. The other attraction (the field, etc.) was OK (see below). The main problem for both attractions (the larger attraction, more so) is that there are WAY too many people filing through for the actors to properly scare every guest/group that comes through. I get that it's an economics thing: gotta make as much $ as possible per season, but, as I recall, only one dude got me good the entire evening. That said, he got so close that I stepped on his foot, which immediately turned his menace into a comedy bit. (Jumps out!) "Ahhhhh! (foot stepped on) Whooooa! Plus there's a live pig (!) in a stall which was a total buzz kill cause all you can think is, "Aw, poor pig. It's gotta lie here listening to all this noise/people prodding it for hours at a time." They don't need a live pig. Make it a pig-man, instead. He can eat from a slop trough and squeal/bellow at the guests in a half-man/half-pig language. Would be totally kickass!! Pros: great atmosphere and set pieces; actors are very committed to their characters and very safe (I got right away that they wouldn't touch me) Cons: too crowded; the porta potties smelled like Jason Vorhees' ass moments before (spoiler alert) he crawled in the lake (therefore rinsing his ass) in Pt. 4 to kill the woman on the raft; the live pig created concern for an animal that doesn't comprehend that it's part of a piece of entertainment (You can't just say to the pig, "Chill out, pig. I came here back in 2015 and remember it being the best haunted attraction that I had been to. There were actors everywhere in the maze and it seemed to never stop. I just went again for the second time in 2022 and I was very disappointed. I had been so excited to go and brought my little brother to his first haunted attraction and was super excited for him to be scared. He wasn't. I don't know if they were just short staffed or what but I hope they go back to how I remember it. Maze is super long tho which is nice compared to other places that only take 5-10 minutes to get through. The website is pretty lacking and doesn't give too many pictures or details. While the ticket booth opens at 7:00 pm, the lines don't open until 9:00 pm. They let everyone who paid extra for the fast pass go first. The maze is really well done. You can't really see how big it is from the street. You can see five shacks from the street and think "what are people paying for?" But the detail and length is impressive. It took us 30 minutes to walk through the maze. You are walking through dirt so dress accordingly. You also go down a small slide at one point that is muddy at the end. It takes no more than 5 minutes to go through the Skullvania house which has about three live monsters and the rest is animatronic or sensored . There weren't too many monsters in the maze. My only complaint is that they screamed in your ear. Like... that's not scary, it's annoying. Especially for my younger kids. We went early in the season and there wasn't a line for tickets or the snack shack. read more

I think this place deserves 5 stars or 4 1/2. Why? Because I thought it was a lot more fun than I ever expected. I'm a TAD older than most that go there...my age won't be revealed here...but it's like...33 or 34 or 37 or something like that lol. So, you'd think people my age wouldn't like this stuff. If you're older and can't get out to have fun at a place like this...SERIOUSLY! WHY DID YOU LET THE KID IN YOU...DIE?!? I'm getting older...and like Madonna, I'm not loving the aging process. I just wish I had her $$$ to get a little bo for this mo...but not as bad as her. She's had too many procedures and now she looks scary....almost like a zombie you'd see at Haunted World! Hahaha! I grew up with her, I love her music...but again, she's not handling aging very well and neither am I LOL! That still will never keep me from acting a fool and going to places meant for like high schoolers and 20 somethings lol. I'll never let the kid in me die. No fun when people act all old and shit WOW! off subject, huh??? I tend to do that. If you read my reviews, you know this. My above comments kinda work tho...because going to a spot like Haunted World allows you to be that kid you used to be or the kid you refuse to let go. This place was great because, growing up in upstate NY, when I was in high school, we always went to Haunted Hayrides in the woods. They were fantastic! I so wish we had them here in Boise. Anyway, you start out in like a haunted psycho hospital. Very smokey, very dark, screaming, eerie music, people jumping at you, etc. It's great. Only one issue is...TONS of people. You move through like cattle. You finish that and then go through the haunted corn maze. This is what reminded me of the haunted hayrides back in the day. The corn maze, you walk the entire thing. It's long af, but you get what you pay for. $25 bucks for the entire experience and yeah, I totally think it's worth it. Is it scarier than the haunted hayrides I went on...nah, but they do go all out. It really is a fun time. Just be prepared for a LOT of walking and walking in a lot of dark spots. One part, you come to this super dark room and this slide. The slide is super wide and you go under these flaps and it is PITCH BLACK...you slide down this long slide in complete darkness. I thought....um, this wouldn't be good for older folks. They'd HATE this hahahaha! It's a lot of fun and yeah, it's always to let your inner kid out again if you're one who chooses to hide it now that you're an older kid lol. Me, I act like a moron all the time hahahaha! I know I'm late posting this...seeing as Thanksgiving is in a week but hopefully this is useful for next year. I'm glad I finally went. I've always wanted to go, just never had anyone who wanted to go with. So I went with a 20 year old and a 37 year old HA! They took me for my Birthday! Ok! That's all I got for this one! Spooky Halloween fun! The displays are very professional. Lots of twists, and turns and surprise inside the mazes :)

Let me preface my review by telling you that I hate feeling scared. I haven't watched a scary movie since high school. I even have nightmares from watching a tiny 30 second trailer from a scary movie. I LOATHE anything scary. Then why did I go you ask? Peer pressure. We had some friends visiting from Israel and they begged me to tag along...so I did. And I about threw up in anticipation. I tell you about my fears so you believe me when I say that this haunted house/forest is amazing! They have gone to great detail to make it believable and different. So many of their elements have been hand made. It is evident how much thought went in to it all. I spent most of the time screaming, hiding behind my husband in fear, or closing my eyes. But I also had a wonderful time. We laughed and laughed. It wasn't nearly as terrifying as I would have guessed. Meaning, I could sleep last night with no problem. It was the jump out at you and scream 'Boo!' kind of scary which I could get down with. So why the 3 star review?! The price. It is so expensive I can hardly believe it. Our friends got in line first so he purchased all our tickets and just told us to cash app him the money after. It wasn't until we were leaving when I asked him how much my husband and I owed him. '$26 a piece,' he said. I thought I misheard him. 'Do you mean $26 total for the two of us?' But no...it was $52 for the two of us. $26 each. What the?!? Are you kidding me?! All we did was stand in line waiting to go into each element, or walk. The Farmstead is less than HALF that price and there are a million things to do there, including a haunted maze. Both my husband and I were shocked and annoyed. We would have NEVER gone if we knew it was that much. Honestly I'm a little sickened by the price. We went on a Monday night and it was really busy. So I guess they feel like they can charge it. But we will never go back. Not unless they lower the price so a family of 4 could actually go and not feel guilty. read more

If I could give it no stars I would, hardly any workers and so jamm packed that nobody literally NOBODY was able to be scared at any pop up/outs. If the workers don't scare you at there attempt of a decent scare then they insult you. I will NEVER waist my money coming here again. I had a pretty great experience here overall. I was only able to go through the main Haunted world attraction but just that alone was worth the drive. I'm one of those people that don't get scared overly easy and I love creatively made spooky settings so haunted world met my criteria for a good time. The cast there was, for the most part, pretty cool but I do feel the need to mention that one of the cast members made me personally uncomfortable in the middle of the attraction. All the other people would scare you and then maybe follow you a bit but they all had the goal of ultimately moving you along because there would be a group a little ways behind you. This man was dressed like Jason Vorhees from Friday the 13th and looked to be a fully grown adult. Keep in mind that I'm a 5 2" 16 year old girl. I was in the back of the group. He jumped out with a chainsaw and scared the rest of my friends into running forward and then cut me off from following them and just stood in front of me staring me down and jabbing the chainsaw at me a bit. After a while, it became clear to me that he planned on standing there until I moved and if I did move in the one direction I had room to go towards (over to his right) he would thrust the chainsaw at me. This was where I got genuinely afraid for my own well being for a moment because I was isolated from my friends and blocked by a man twice my size and age with a large, loud weapon. Fake or not. I eventually did move (and he did jab that chainsaw very close to me as I did so) and everything was fine but what he did rattled me because it was so different from how everyone else there acted. I was put in a corner where he challenged me to have the bravery to try and escape. That bravery was hard for me to summon. It was difficult for me to remember that the threat wasn't real. Maybe this is normal and I'm being overly sensitive but it just bothered me. It was a bit too real. I actually happened to find the guy in the article "who's going chicken hunting": a look behind the scenes at the people who bring Haunted World to life" by idaho press later that night. I could be wrong about this being him, but he aligned well with my memory. He himself mentioned scaring the star Miranda Lambert until she was curled into a ball on the floor. He then continued to thrust his chain saw around her head until her security had to get him away from her. This was in 2017 though and that could have been how haunted world operated then. i just feel like this sort of behavior would be expected at an +18 haunted attraction where you sign up to be scared in a more personal way. Haunted world is advertised as a good place for families and no one else there used the methods he did. I really don't want anything to happen to this guy because I think he simply takes horror more seriously but I do feel like other girls my age could also feel threatened in the situation I was in and I would have liked to be cautioned personally. I'll still give Haunted World a good review because they put so much work into it and the rest of the cast did a great job. The sets were awesome and they used so many creative and cool methods to make the different zones as immersive as possible. ** THIS IS AN UPDATE TO MY 2015 REVIEW (which you'll see below)** We arrived early on a Wednesday night and had a chance to take part in the actors getting into character. It was a LOT of fun and I felt the need to give them a shout out. This is MORE than just putting on a costume and gruesome make up to wait to jump out at someone. These characters have backstories, they have habits. The people behind the masks/make up aren't just messing around they are ACTING. Don't ever catch yourself rolling your eyes and thinking 'anyone could do this'.. it takes skill to become your character. I and others in my party were very impressed with the actors. THAT is why we go back year after year.. the experience, the polish and the work that goes into Haunted World make it worth every penny. KUDOS to everyone involved **ORIGINAL REIVEW 10/31/2015** I've lived in Idaho for almost 12 years and this is the first time I've gotten out for some Halloween fun. Some friends insisted I MUST go to Haunted World with them, so I did! My brain (and pocketbook) balked at first at a $21 entry fee.. (no discount for age unless you are 5 and under).. and we actually spent $4 more to 'fast pass' to the head of the line. My friends it was worth EVERY PENNY. The entry area is ablaze with activity.. lights, sound, fog, flames and the occasional costumed creep or scary statue.. BE SURE and visit the honey bucket if you need to relieve yourself before you go in.. the trek is a bit long, and it is possible you WILL have stuff scared out of you (heehee). The line for admission leads up to the 'treat' stand where snacks (even cup noodles if you need a hot nosh!) and drinks are sold. Admission gets you into into two attractions, Skullvaina and the Maze. It's dark, it's creepy, there as colored light, strobe lights, audio-animatronics and real live people who are dolled up and destined to jump out, menace and stalk you. RULES STATE.. you must not touch the props or the actors. and they cannot touch you.. though an occasional brushing is possible depending on how/which way your fight or flight program takes you after a good scare. Moving through in a group is helpful, especially when some of the paths take you into VERY dark passages. Wear comfortable shoes and layers for warmth as the majority of the attraction takes place under the stars. I found myself wishing I had my gloves, it was a clear chilly October evening. There are inclines, declines and steps, there are chances you'll bump into walls, things that dangle from ceilings and some parts that squeeze you (with soft materials). Because it is dark and the trails are natural, be prepared for brief moments of slippery footing. Be ready to duck, duckwalk and bend. Some told me they crawled, but I never found the need to (I'm 5'7 and 250). While you are in your own world of jumps and screams, it's fun to hear other groups and their responses too. I had a great time at Haunted World, and look forward to doing it again in 2016! Happy Halloween! read more

The set up of the attraction was very well done and impressive. My boyfriend and I are in college and it sounded like something that would be fun and scary even at our age and I think it would have been a really fun experience however it was not very well executed. The staff didn't leave hardly any space between visitors when going through the attractions so we could see the scares coming as they scared the people in front of us or a few people up. The scares were very good however being able to anticipate and having almost no personal space kinda hindered the experience. I think for 25 dollars you should be able to receive a more individual experience rather than be part of a massive line going through the scares. Also the "corn maze" was not a maze it was a pathway in a cornfield, there was one path option so I don't think that really qualifies as a maze. read more

The event itself is amazing. I have been going here for over a decade, but this year was terrible. 1st, it took close to an hour of fighting traffic just to get into the parking lot. 2nd, just WAY too many people!! They entire courtyard was absolutely jam packed with people, no room to even walk. They have so many people, they have to just funnel them though the attraction one after the other, taking away from being able to enjoy the scare. The last half of the attracting became SO bottled up that probably 200 people were just stuck trying to cram their way through the rest of the attraction... pretty sad what it has become... read more

I have never been so angry with a business, and have never given a bad review to one (and I have had some pretty crappy experiences at certain places) however if I could give a zero star to the Haunted World I would... We had 7 people attending and originally tried to go during a Saturday which we were told it would be easily a 3 hours minimum wait since there were so many people there, even with a fast pass, so we decided to come back on a week day at opening when it would not be so busy. After finding out opening was at 7pm we arrived at 6:30pm to be in line plenty of time in advance, when in reality opening to the attractions was not until 8pm which was never told to us. We also purchased the standard tickets since we were told at the ticket counter fast pass was slightly quicker but not by a lot, since we arrived prior to opening we did not figure it was necessary to have the fast pass since we were first in line. Apparently we were VERY wrong, after waiting 1.5 hours to get in, opening finally came, in which they proceeded to let "ALL" of the fast pass line go in first (well over 300 plus people) before allowing a single regular ticket holder to enter, so now after a total of 2 hours of waiting we finally got to enter. The attraction itself was neat, it really is more designed for kids, which the kids did have a great time. It really was not scary at all (I hate horror movies and haunted things, and I didn't even blink an eye at it). However we only got to go through the outdoor attraction and never got to see the indoor one since it was so late by the time we finally managed to go through the first one... There was also no one there to help direct people as to the different attractions and where to stand in line. Most everyone trying to attend were very confused on where to even go and if they were in the correct area. The ticket price was pretty high for what little we got to do, which with the cost of things now of days I really understand they have to have a higher rate to account for it all. If we were told about how the fast pass worked, as in if you hold a standard ticket you are treated like dirt, I would have been more than happy to pay the additional 5 dollars per ticket to begin with... All in all I feel they should only have ONE ticket option since the fast pass made absolutely no sense (most places do something like a 10 to 1 ratio, basically letting in like 100 fast pass holders to 10 standard ticket holders, with which I completely understand and would have not minded the slightly extra wait), they also need to let people know they do not really open until 8pm not at the 7pm posted time, and things need to be marked more clearly if they do not have the staff available to let people know where to go.... We were so angry by the time we even got to see the attraction it ruined the fun for most everyone attending and was not worth the amount of money we had to spend. I will NEVER be back. read more

There were 2 gentlemen in ghillie suits that reeked of alcohol and were fighting. They were employees of Haunted World and they ended up running into us and using horrific language in front of our daughter. So, drunk men fighting and swearing at each other ruined our night, at least half of the experience. When I spoke to Scott about the issue, he told me to "be a man" about the whole thing and refused to give us our money back. Well, we will never go back...with or without our refund. Clearly customer safety and satisfaction takes second and third to a quick buck. Go here if you want to be ridiculed by the owner after you have your experience ruined and your daughter shoved by drunk, swearing, fighting men. Fun haunted house. It's a great time to have with friends and family. It's super scary. Been coming here every year for the last decade.

There is no social distancing. The place uses so much fog the place smells moldy you can't even breath. There was this poor girl. Sitting down trying to catch her breath. She looked like she was gonna pass out..I honestly don't know what me and my sister were thinking going. Were both sick , stuffy noses, runny nose, hacking cough. I haven't gone for more then 10 years. I don't know what I was thinking. I lay here and think about how many times I touched railings. How many times I had to give a person my ticket only for them to touch it and give it back to me. And then they grab the next persons ticket. And so on. The place was packed with an abundant of humans. Another thing that was so very sad and disturbing to see, was that they had a very , very large pig enclosed in pig pen. There were people touching it and poking at it. I honestly cannot believe that a person would put an animal through so much trauma. The loud noises, the constant screaming, the loud music, the constant sound of chain saws. The flickering laser lights and lack of fresh air due to fog machines. I will never go there again. Update: The co-owner reached out to our family to resolve the issue. I am glad that he took the time to listen to my mother-in-law. I hope that future customers will not have to experience the same issues that we did. My mother-in-law was sexually assaulted by a staff member tonight during our visit. I love going to this place every year! They really put a lot of thought and detail into the attraction and it's always really fun to get scared and to see what they change every year. The real reason why I'm doing this review is because I'm thoroughly impressed how they handed a public intoxication situation, the group in from of us were very intoxicated (mostly one guy that was very under the influence) to where they couldn't even walk right, security and actors quickly realized and swooped into the line of people while going through the attraction to follow him to make sure he wouldn't get hurt and wouldn't cause a disturbance to others... they followed him all the way until they could get out of the maze of haunted world then confronted him and went from there. Glad to see that they try to keep a very scary theme but yet a very safe environment for people. read more

My family and I went to Haunted World on a Saturday night, arriving around 645. It took about 5 minutes to purchase tickets, a little over $60 for the three if us, and get in line for the fast track at the Raven House. It was around 720 or so when we were allowed to start the experience. I can say from start to finish, around an hour or so for the three different areas , we had a lot of fun. Nothing crazy that would traumatize you or your kids for life, just a good time. As we were leaving around 830, the place was packed and the lines significantly longer. With any activity like this, you will get the privilege of encountering young people that should be accompanied by an adult that do not realize they are in public...or maybe they do.
