In spite of the input, we were given a booklet with a "one size fits all" foundation, with step by step program designed to rebuild one's swing from the ground up... precisely opposite of what was requested! Our instructor kept referring to various tour pros (Tiger Wood, Ernie Els, etc) and their swings. Clearly, as a senior citizen, it would be impossible to replicate any part of their game. The academy resulted in zero improvement in the short or long term, and only served to create frustration and injury.

Mind you, this was immediately after playing the front nine holes in barely over two hours. She nagged us again on the 11th hole and said we were way behind. Yet we were on pace for a four hour and 15 minute round which in my many years of experience is very normal and acceptable. I hate being rushed. It took a lot of fun out of the round. This course is set pretty much on the ocean. It has numerous wonderful views and is a bargain for locals. As a visitor, green fees and the cart added up to $91. It's a fun track but I won't be back if I feel like we have to play in under four hours every time. I'm a 12.5 handicap. I like to look at my putts and get a feel for various shots. Nope, no time for that. I'm also sensitive to slow play. I've logged close to 300 rounds in the last few years. We were not playing slow. We played "ready" golf. Thanks once more to the Marshall for ruining a good time.
