I have been going to the Headroom since it opened its first location. I have had great service, excellent results with cuts, colour and product recommendations. Another thing I want to post here... if you perhaps don't like a cut or a colour result PLEASE tell your stylist and give them a chance to fix whatever it is you don't like . It is wholly unfair to trash a stylist on social media without giving them a chance to redeem themselves. I have had a hair cut or two in the past that were maybe too short or maybe left to long in a spot... and no matter which stylist it was they were very game time fix it. Stylists also are not miracle workers - if you have thin, fine hair and you bring in a picture of someone with thick lustrous hair- it may be impossible to give you that style. Be reasonable folks! The management and staff are amazing! I had treated myself for the the first time ever to getting my hair done at a salon and the colour they achieved was exactly what I wanted! When I washed my hair at home for the first time, the colour didn't seem to hold onto my hair like expected. I messaged the Facebook page with my concerns and Jill got back to me right away! She talked with her team of colour masters and figured out a game plan to get my hair colour back to where it was and lasting longer than ever! They were even so kind to treat me to my next appointment for free so we can fix the colour mishap I had. I'm so excited for my next appointment and will definitely be a returning customer! How you know that you've found a good hair dresser: 1. Her name is Melanie 2. She makes you feel as beautiful as she makes you look 3. She is educated and makes you feel educated as well 4. Before product is placed she verbalizes her game plan with you 5. She believes laughter and highlights are the best medicine of all I don't deem myself an overly lucky lady however, I hit the jackpot when I met Melanie and let her be my stylist. With her experience and knowledge you sit down in her chair with a two star review type hairstyle and walk out looking like a 10 star review. Melanie is not a one trick pony like some stylists, she excels in modern, classic and avant garde styles which is perfect for everyone. I cannot preach her praise enough! PIVOT with Excellence! Those was the words used on August 16th when the intention of my visit was for a blow & glow LOL. I simply wanted a style and shine to head out on a flight that same day. Once my hair was assessed, VICTORIA knew that something wasn't quite right with my 50 shades of blonde, especially in areas I could not see (I rarely look at the back of my head ;)). In swift moves, she raced on and made the pivot for a color fix, blow & glow. I had heard so many great things about this salon from friends on social media. I had to check it out for myself!! I went to their new location and the place is absolutely beautiful! I felt very welcomed the minute I walked through the door! My stylist asked me a lot of questions about me, and my hair before she started. This made me feel comfortable that I was going to the cut and color I was asking for. Guess what?? It was way better than the picture I showed her!! She actually recommended products for me to use (I bought all 3 of them!) and taught me how to style it!! I was so happy, I booked my next two appointments! Ps. This is a great salon! They greet you with a smile. The salon is clean. They offer beverages (water, tea, juice), which is something that's not offered anywhere else (or if it is, it's never been offered to me). I had Chantelle Haines, and she was FABULOUS!!! Great conversation, and she did an amazing job on my hair. I'm particularly fussy, and she made me quite happy. My daughter was with me, and they were very kind to her as well. Good hours, great products for sale (they have those "love your melon" beanies!! Love!!), and I really enjoyed my time there. I'm going back for colour! Ah-mazing! I've been going to The Headroom for over 3 years now, have worked with 4 different stylists (welcome to working all the freaking time and having to book in last minute) and I have yet to be disappointed. Had my first ever dye done at the North location by Bailey and she was great! Explained everything (how to care for it, what she was doing, the process, etc.) really well and I was very comfortable. I didn't know exactly what I wanted when I came in, but she took what information I gave her, ran with it and I got a great result. I got my hair cut and curled at this location in Grande Prairie and the girl that did my hair was amazing! I think her name was Donique or something like that. The staff were very friendly and helpful for any questions I had. I would definitely recommend 10/10 going here it was such a great experience and the salon was very clean. Also, even if your hair doesn't need to be washed, do it, it felt so good haha. I got my hair cut and curled and washed and it was only about $50. 10/10 recommend! read more

Awful. if you get Alyssa RUN out the door (Kateri drive location) I asked to go lighter and left the salon with DARKER hair then when I came in. She spent 2 hours putting in foils(bleach) only to cover it with black...... was extremely disappointed. I asked why and she responded with "you can't understand if you are not a stylist" lthen why say you can do it in the first place????? Now as it fades my hair is starting to look grey. I go to Stacie at the south side salon. She's absolutely amazing for colour and micro cuts. I'm sad she's away till September and have no idea of who I'll get to do my hair in the meantime. Getting in is a little difficult and pricing seems to drastically vary depending on who rings you through the till but for Stacie's services, it's worth it. read more

I went in with some pictures and she was very helpful picking a hair style, and then afterwards she took the time to even show me how to style and curl my hair. I was very happy with the service.
