Outstanding neighborhood pub. And they do Gluten Free very well (separate friers). Lots of pub fair options. Many local Beers as well. Staff (Mikey) was very attentive.

Don't miss out on the Fish and Chips served here! Not only was it prepared well, but it is served with the best tartar sauce I've ever tasted. Prepared in-house with their chef's recipe. The atmosphere is casual and you'll feel at-home whether you are just grabbing a cold beverage on their open air decks or inside their warm, inviting interior.

Decent fish and chips and meat pies. The service was a little slow, but overall very friendly. Ambiance is a casual pub like atmosphere.

We LOVED The Hercules. Haddock was great, but the standout was the chicken and ham pie. It was beautifully presented, the pastry was tender and flavorful, and the filling was salty and wonderful. We had a long day of travel, and The Hercules was a perfect start to our time in London.

This is a very photogenic and fun new pub that has be beautifully designed to have a classic pub feel. While the food selection is slim and could use work, the beer selection was above average. This is a fun place to have beers with friends and embellish your stories over a pint or five. This place seems to be the trendiest and hip place in this area. It's not cheap - a chicken burger with bacon , cheese and a pint of Guinness cost 20.90 GBP.

The decor is a lovely pub, quaint and unpretentious, but feels like home. Unfortunately, the wait staff did not. The waiter handed me a menu and never came back. Since I waited a really long time (and they really were not very busy), I asked the bartender if this was counter service and if I needed to order at the bar. He said no and he came over to take my order. He was friendly and even brought a pitcher of water in addition to my pint. I ordered the cod cheek and king prawn salad with mango salsa. The flavor palate, with the mango salsa contrasting nicely with the peppery arugula, was delightful. However, I had some of the cod chunks that were, well, chewy. I thought it might be a British thing, but the other cod bites were normal and the prawns were perfect. Now,in retrospect, they might have been undercooked. Meanwhile, my original waiter passed me nine times and never checked on me. I wanted to order dessert as the coconut rice pudding sounded amazing, but I sat there as another server cleared my plate without speaking, and my waiter disappeared. I finally went to the bar to pay my tab without ordering anything else. They should just post a sign to order at the bar as most had to do that anyway, and then I wouldn't have expected to be waited on.

We were seated right away and ordered a burger, which came with red coleslaw and French fries. The burger was cooked well and was delicious. The French fries were just as good. The restaurant was clean, and although busy, the staff was attentive and friendly. A shout-out to Ellis, who was our hostess, server, and even our tour guide all in one! He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and made our experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a great burger in London with excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere, Red Lion is definitely worth a visit!

Very busy, but thankfully they have a second floor. We had a reservation and seated upstairs. Love the look and the vibe. I of course went with fish and chips and was thrilled at how good it was. My wife had garlic chicken and loved it. They have a full line up of beer, but because of the surprise heat wave went with water. There are lots of pubs to choose from, but The Red Lion has political history and even surprise visitors that come by.
