    Fish N Chips

Fish an Chips anyone? Loved the location which was off the beaten path. We had the cider to compliment the fish n chips. The cod was not overly cooked but made to perfection. The chips were also cooked well with a tinge of crispiness.

Fun. Bartender was amazing. Great guy and a mixologist. Went for roast beef dinner, had reservations and despite reservations they were out! Very disappointing. Did the lamb shank. Very good. Yorkshire pudding a bit greasy. The veg was so so. Gravy outstanding. All in all enjoyed. Great atmosphere and amazing staff. Pretty cool place.

Kid friendly!!! This is another pub underneath the Greene King umbrella. We visited another pub under the Greene king in Bath, UK ( Saracens head) and LOVED it. The Kings Arms did not disappoint. The menu is the same as the menu in Bath, UK but each pub is allowed to create their own, specials menu. Like all their pubs we visited so far, you're greeted with the classic, British/Victorian pub style. The service was prompt and friendly. And just like the Saracens Head, the food was fantastic. Having been in the UK for 3 weeks, I was craving a little bit of home, so I ordered the loaded nachos and they were amazing. Better than what I get in the states, although a much smaller portion. My wife got the Pulled Beef Rib Cottage Pie and it was very good too. I'm starting to believe that you can't go wrong with a pub under the Greene King umbrella if you're looking for great food and service. Restaurant is clean. Bathrooms are clean. Food is great. Service is great. I would come back here again and recommend this place if you're near the Buckingham Palace.

Neck Oil lager. It was different..but good!

Solid English pub with great atmosphere. Had a Neck Oil lager then did coffee tequila shots with my siblings. Went to use the bathroom only to come up to an empty pub realizing all had been asked to drink outside (oops!)

    Old speckled hen

Stopped in here for lunch on Sunday since I wanted to try a Sunday roast during my visit to London. I ordered the roast beef and an old speckled hen beer. The food was pretty good and it had a nice laid back atmosphere. Looks like this is a go-to spot to watch sports as there was quite a crowd wearing jerseys.

Old Mout Cider is amazing but this pineapple & raspberry is hands down my favorite by them.

Trying something new and absolutely AMAZING! Bartender was very kind and sweet. This one is going to give my Pimms a run for the money.

Friendly service, great fish and chops. Two of us for lunch. Server allowed us tastes of two beers to select which one we liked best.

My wife actually booked dinner reservations in advance for Ye Old Cheshire Cheese, it was one of a few we did that for rather than just popping in. For some of these, Cheshire included, it isn't a bad idea if you want a full meal to do so as it gives you a table in a dining area that is quieter than the More raucous areas of the pub and guarantees you plenty of elbow room to dine. Every pub has fish and chips, and we had our share of it during our 8+ day trek, but my wife swears by this place as having the absolute best. I'd likely agree with that--we both had the traditional fish, chips, peas platter and every bite was great. We had a few slices of sourdough to hold us over while waiting for those plates. My wife had a bit of wine, and I tried a lager, lower ABV ale, and a pour of scotch opting for their "house" scotch. The spirits/beer menu was the same I saw used at a couple of what I think must be "sister" pubs all using the same distilleries and brewers. We were too full to try dessert. Service was friendly. Not sure if it was the vintage of my scotch or her wine, but price-wise this was by far our priciest pub visit in the area and I can't quite point my fingers at why, but I don't regret our meal and time here. As for historic interest, you can find pictures and placards of many of the pubs famous patrons from history--Dickens, Mark Twain on visits to London, etc. A first edition of a Dickens' book adorned a post by our table.

Cool pub dating back to 1300s?…read more Fish and chips were great. Price was okay given its a popular and historic spot. Beer was excellent and prices reasonable Only complaint was the dining area was extremely quiet on a Friday afternoon. A little strange for a pub

The history alone makes it worth visiting, and the location is perfect if you're exploring the area. It feels very classic London in the best way. We stopped in for a pint and honestly... the whole after-work beer culture over there is something I really need to bring back with me to the States. The beer was great, the atmosphere was lively without feeling overwhelming, and it just felt like one of those places where people naturally gather and stay awhile. Definitely worth stopping into if you're in the area.

Two story space - the ground floor feature the bar and handles walk in lunch; the upstairs is a dining room for those with reservations. Fun fact, as part of the history, the pub used to be the host of bare knuckle fights and had regulars like Charles Dickens. Wildfarmed sourdough - served with whipped salted butter and Guinness butter. Well toasted bread and the butters with salt were well made. Fuller's London Pride marinated steak and ale pie - served with seasonal veggies and red wine gravy, as well as either mash potatoes or triple cooked chips. If there is one dish London does really well, it's their pies. It was beautifully made and loaded with steak. The red wine gravy was decadent and added a perfect amount of moisture to the pie. Triple cooked chips were perfectly crispy but fluffy on the inside. Corn fed chicken breast - served with garlic and sage butter, mash potato, cavolo nero, and crispy onions. Only took a bite of this as it was my partner's dish but the bite of chicken I had was very juicy and well seasoned.
