I have been seeing this place on instagram for many months. I waited until today, my birthday, to go. What a birthday gift. Everything about this place is incredible. Matt, the chef, was awesome. The ambiance is quaint and cool. And then there's the food. OH MY. This is the first time in my life that I have ever gotten full eating a single hot dog. They are massive. The banh mi bun was incredible, the dog delicious, the fixings... oh my god the fixings! We got the SAY CHEESE, the PHILLY DILLY, and a build your own. I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you even ALMOST like hot dogs... run. Don't walk. The Hidden Dog is THE PLACE. When we finished eating our dogs, my husband said "I wish you can give this place 15 stars out of 5." To give you some more context, we parked our car about 20 steps around the corner from Haute Dog. We got our pups to go, tried the first bite as we stepped outside, and 3 dogs were gone before we made it back to the car. This place is SPECTACULAR, and I don't use that term lightly. We came minutes before closing and the workers greeted us like long lost family, asking about our day and where we were from. We shared some laughs telling the owner about our adventure day to a UFO house in Willingboro. The taste of the dogs was spectacular- my husband got the Horsefeather (an ideally horseradish tasting dog) and I got the Haute Mess (homemade pickle cream with hot jelly). We shared a mini meatball dog too. The buns were so fresh... even at the end of the day! The father even showed and told us about the process of how they're made. So fun! We got free cookies and funky stickers to go, the prices are insanely reasonable, the decor is so on point- clean + chic-, the dogs taste OUT OF THIS WORLD, and the workers/owners... man, we just need more people like them in this world. Love going into a place and immediately being genuinely welcomed. That's what we found here at Haute Dog. A little different than your regular dog - but fear not regular dogs with traditional toppings are up for grabs too. A hallowed out baguette makes a sleeve for the properly prepared pups. Encasing all the toppings that surround the larger than normal hotdog. The dogs were tasty, the meatballs just as yummy and the chef super personable. Pop in and give it a try. read more

As a hot dog connoisseur, I finally made my way over to Haute Dog and color me impressed! The staff was super welcoming and friendly giving stickers, cookies and great conversation to my party. The hot dogs themselves were super unique being stuffed inside a hoagie roll! The toppings were also spread out so you got a bite of everything with each bite of the dog! The place itself is very small but it's decorated beautifully inside and if it's a nice day, plenty of spots to eat on the street of Kings Highway! I would love for them to expand the menu a bit more of have rotating specials weekly as I feel like the number of combinations is endless! Looking forward to going back. read more

Haddonfield's newest restaurant, and surprisingly the second hot dog place in town (after Hot Dawgs two blocks away). They recently had their soft opening on a Saturday in September and are slowly rolling out opening times. Named Haute Dogs due to serving fancy Parisian-style hot dogs in a hollowed out baguette with lots of fun fillings and toppings. We got the Mac's Dog (filled with chili, spicy mustard and chopped onions) and the Some Like It Haute (filled with hot pepper jelly and melted Brie). Both were absolutely delicious. Located in the basement of a shared building (upstairs neighbor is Umile, the Italian restaurant), the space is small (only room for four tables) but clean and well lit and decorated. Not great for people with mobility issues, though, as the entrance is down a flight of outdoor stairs, and the restroom is back up another flight of indoor stairs. For two hot dogs and one Mexican soda it was $29.22. Expensive, but worth it I'd say. Owned by a lovely brother and sister duo who have put their heart and soul into this business which shows in so many of the details. This place is definitely worth a visit. read more

Incredible food and customer service!! My husband and I were in the area and decided to stop by and I am so glad we did! My 1.5 year old son and I came in for the second time and had a great time! A great combination of innovative yet tasty hot dogs- a great concept! This is a family run business and it shows. The staff was so kind when we walked in and made sure everyone was served in a timely manner. Not only served, but going above and beyond in making everyone comfortable and enjoying their time! Haute Dog (a family business located on Kings Highway in the space beneath Umile Restaurant) is a wonderful addition to Haddonfield's restaurant scene! This is truly a gourmet hot dog experience. Both beef and vegan dogs are available. Other sandwich options, including meatballs and sausage and peppers from a treasured family recipe, are available. We tried the "Some Like it Haute," a large hot dog served on a toasted baguette with housemade hot pepper jelly and melted brie. Fantastic. Meatballs and sausage and pepper haute shorts are also delicious. Owners are charming and very welcoming and kind. Physical space is gorgeous. We're delighted that they won Haddonfield's Best Chili award at the recent Downtown Haddonfield Super Bowl. We hope they add it to the menu now as a permanent addition. We'll return. Tried this place for the first place the other night. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the owner and his sweet parents. They gave me the whole introduction and even let me try a few things to see what I liked. They were so friendly, kind, and made everyone feel so welcomed in. Both the owners parents were walking around making sure everyone had everything they needed, handed out stickers, gave out cookies, and took pictures of us with the hotdogs lol. Not only that, the restaurant was very clean and the vibe was great. I ordered the Philly Dilly and it was DELICIOUS. I'm not even a pickle person, and this was so good.
