Very friendly people, great cheeseburgers, and love the local desserts from different bakers each week.

Everyone should end their meal with a homemade Tres Leches cake. The nachos with chicken are a flavor bomb with authentic South American profiles that feel very familiar. The chicken tacos are by far my personal favorite. Do I need to suggest how amazing the empanadas are? Try them all. The location has nearby parking, Abuela's Kitchen is on DoorDash, and they have a great adult beverage menu that is DORA approved. Inside, there is a good selection of seating for all-sized parties. Food is cooked to order, so there is a slightly longer wait time than you'd have at a fast-casual restaurant.

WONDERFUL option right in the HEART of downtown Urbana. Quite the love story/labor of love here,…read moreand you can just feel and TASTE the love this couple puts into every dish (and drink) they offer!! I wasn't hungry enough for a whole dinner, but wanted to try some of their tempting apps., and as I debated which to try, the owner helpfully recommended a sampler plate, which was a PERFECT choice!! Chicharron, plantains, fried yuca, tequenos, a mini arepa, and more... As much as I wanted to go "light," this was SUPER filling (no complaints!!) and gave me a great opportunity to try some of their "greatest hits" at a reasonable, belly-filling price. Plenty of drink options at the bar, which I'll be sure try next time (BEFORE/instead of imbibing at the nearby brewery!!) along with some of their tempting entree choices. Come hungry, leave FELIZ!! Awesome decor, great food, friendly people. Que mas necesitan?!? ENJOY... Buen provecho!!

It was just as good as it was messy, ha. They have an intriguing menu given their name - it turns out the "cakes" are actually pancakes, and they also offer gyros and elote in addition to the variety of steak options. We will watch for them again in the future.

The kids like them, they're micro pancakes served with whatever toppings you want. I wound up ordering the regular phillys two with peppers and onions and one without. The guys working the truck were so nice and even though they had a long line it didn't take a ton of time for them to make our food. I wasn't a big fan of the giant slab of (I think mozzarella) cheese on the sandwich, honestly it made the bread soggy and everything was so oily I couldn't eat it. I wound up scraping off as much of the cheese as I could and stuck the entire thing in the air fryer to crisp up. It helped a bit but this isn't something I'd pay for again.
