It's my opinion ABUSE, NEGLECT and GREED is company standard. My 80 year old dad was found by…read moreOxford aides in his bed with a broken hip on Nov 24, 2023. Oxford said no one reported a fall. My dad could not have gotten off the floor with the severity of his broken hip, age and advanced Alzheimer's condition. Dad's broken hip required metal rods and screws to repair. Oxford investigated but no one admits to a fall. The aide not only covered up the fall, she picked my dad up off the floor and put him back into his bed for the next shift to find him. She knowingly put a broken man back in his bed to lay there in pain and agony for over 5 hours before the next shift discovered he was hurt. My dad told another aide that he was pushed, yet she didn't even report that he said so. All employees involved are still employed at Oxford. I told the care director November 27th that I cannot and will not bring my dad back because trust has been broken. I tired to get my dad's $4550.00 dollars back for December rent. They refuse to refund his money because they want a 30 day notice when moving out. I didn't know 30 days ago that they were going to abuse and neglect my dad. I would be part of his abuse and neglect if I allowed him back to Oxford when their "investigation" resulted in no one losing their job and no one taking responsibility. To be clear, the problem isn't that my dad experienced a fall. The problem is the lies and cover up from people that need to be trusted. Then the greed of taking the victims money when he needs it for his current situation that they caused. I have about 50 other problems with the care they provided my dad. I cannot say enough good things about Homestead of Owasso. My father had Alzheimer's Disease when…read morewe admitted him. He as initially admitted into Assisted Living and the staff on that side of the facility was very tentative and caring. I was very involved with the staff in providing the best care we could for my dad. Jodi, Danielle, and Trusten were instrumental in assuring that his happiness and quality of life were a top priority and this was admirable because they had many other tenants to attend to as well. Once his condition advanced to a degree where he needed additional care, he was transferred to Memory Care, where the staff stepped up their game even further to provide the kind of care that an 89 year old man, who was steadily advancing towards inevitability, received a good quality of life because they took an active and intrinsic interest in him as an individual. I could not be more grateful to Joe and Tonya, and the entire staff at Homestead of Owasso and I sincerely mean, THE ENTIRE STAFF. The people who work here are very special. They are not abusive, neglectful, or people who just punch a clock to get a paycheck. These people take a vested interest in the job of taking care of their patients, who depend on them. They do it with dignity, heart, and integrity and I'm being completely honest. If anyone has relatives who have reached a stage in their lives where giving them sufficient care at home is no longer possible, Homestead of Owasso is that care facility that offers care with heart and soul that is so rarely found in an industry that is polluted with caregivers who really don't care or are incompetent such as that of Baptist Village to name one example. Thank you, Joe. My dad was a good man, husband, father. He worked hard throughout his life to take care of all of us. He didn't deserve what was happening to him but with your help, we were able to give him the best we could, something we could never have done without you. Thank you.
