This left us scrambling with no placement and created unnecessary stress and risk for our family member. I understand that capacity and priorities can change, but once a patient is accepted and a transfer is scheduled, families rely on that commitment to make critical care decisions. I would strongly encourage better communication and more responsible admission practices to avoid putting other families in this situation. This experience raises serious concerns about reliability and how external patients are prioritized versus internal ones.

I made them post large notes all over his room that he needs help. They stopped doing his therapy and he stayed in bed all day unless I was up there. One day I went to visit him and I heard him yelling "I need water!" over and over, he was so thirsty. He couldn't drink on his own either and they didn't care to help him. I was livid and met with the nursing director, she was like a stale loaf of bread, no apologies nothing changed. An aid noticed he was struggling and turned her head so he would have to get up on his own. That was mean and cruel, what if he had fallen. She did not offer to lend him a hand. Another time he was in bed all day and no one checked on him. He was always up by 5am or 6am and ready for the day. Why no one checked on him all day is beyond me. The food was not good at all and the residents had to eat with cheap plastic ware. We finally started taking his meals to him. We moved him to another true assisted living facility where they are extremely caring and helpful and he loves it there. Very disappointed in the care at Convenant, we feel that sales person sold us on care we did not receive. Unless your loved one is more on the independent side I cannot recommend this place.

I lost my mother from Alzheimers after being neglected and abused by this facility and their long…read moreterm care group, Incare. my dad continued to live in his home there independently after my mother passed. Prices kept going up while food and other services got increasingly worse. No one came to fix things wrong at his home including flooding in the house every time it rained. We lost my dad in Jan. of 26 due to illness. After being at St. Francis, Covenant told us they would take my dad for rehab. They even sent me a confirmation and room number. The next day they backed out because a higher up told the social worker they didn't like my dad and voided it all. This was done to my dad as a member of their "community" out of spite. Since there were no other options for rehab, we lost him a few weeks later. Please find another facility for your loved one or yourself, don't be fooled by how this place looks on the outside.
