My friend mentioned Shadows as she lives near it but never been there. This is an Asian bar, so when we walked in we were definitely the elephant in the room. Everyone was to themselves and there was a group of people that involved with singing karaoke. The bartender was super friendly and welcoming. Because we were willing to try something different and the bartender recommended some good Thai lagers, and we were drinking those for rest of the night. I ended up singing some karaoke myself because a guy came up to me and said, "It's your turn. I have to go to Milwaukee." Obviously that was odd since it was past midnight. The bartender said a lot of people come here to sing karaoke. There's no DJ. They have you connect to their WI-FI and connect to the Chromecast on the TV and then you play a song off of YouTube. It sounds silly, but kind of fun. I sang a couple of songs...everyone was terrified but still had a good time lol. I wouldn't hesitate to go here again, but not sure if I would have that same positive experience again.
