It was nice to see all the pews filled. All the relics have been removed, but the architecture, murals, and alter are true to the original Catholic design. I really loved intricate details and woodwork. The bridal room is on the smaller size so for the wedding party I was in it was too crowded for us to get ready there but enough space for us to gather before we all walked down the aisle. The event coordinator was very helpful and made sure everything was taken care of for us so there were no worries for the bride! It's a beautiful space inside and out, great for photos as well. It's a nice option if you'd like to get married in a church without the religious tie-in to the wedding. I had no idea this place was tucked away on Prince St all these years.

I may biased as my baby sister, well she's not a real baby, got married here. The chapel no longer…read moreholds regular service but still remains a tangible spiritual place. While there are religious cues throughout such as wood carved crosses into the crown moulding or pews, one who is spiritual but not of any particular faith did not feel overwhelmed. The venue is a beautiful backdrop to any wedding but in particular my lively sister and the newest member of our family. The most fascinating aspect of the location is the massive and that is gross understatement for the size of the bathroom door. Many of us believed the lavatory entrance to be an archway with an open door to a hallway. Huge!

First, I filled out the contact form on their website and they never reached out. Then, I directly emailed quite a few times and they never responded. I noticed they were active on Facebook so finally I direct messaged them through that in which they had me fill out another form with my information and I still have yet to get a response from them. It's interesting that people are saying Angela is super great and responsive when she has yet to answer ANY of my messages. But is posting daily on social media. Kind of ridiculous for a venue to not have any pricing information on their website and simultaneously not answer people when they inquire about the venue.

There is a beautiful room upstairs for the bride to get ready, plenty of room for the photographer to move around and get the shots he needed. Light filled room with privacy. The food is catered in house. Everything was tasty, not too salty as can be with catered food. Food issues/allergies were taken into consideration. My only issue with the venue and staff is that the wedding reception was until 11:00pm and at 8:00, they started removing all drink glasses and water from the tables. The second people were finished eating, everything was rushed and we felt like they just wanted everyone to leave. We asked many times for water and were told we can get a glass at the bar. When I did, it was removed from my table almost as soon as I put it down. I bought a couple mixed drinks from the bar and when I went on the dance floor and returned, my drinks were gone! They also tossed my slice of wedding cake that I was saving.

It was a fantastic experience then, and I felt that it gave me some grounding and ability to look at my situation in a more pragmatic way. I came through the pandemic (thankfully!) only inconvenienced...truly appreciative of how my circle was untouched by the worst of circumstances. Interestingly, when the world was "getting back to normal" I had 2 separate health issues that sent me reeling. On top of that I was wrestling with enormous inner conflict. Not only was I feeling lousy physically, I was pretty despondent emotionally. I started working with Marcia again, and had some energy work that was so powerful and impactful that I continue to reflect on it. Having some regular "tune ups" has sustained a quiet, easy energy, and I love how it feels! In addition, Marcia has developed a curriculum and coaching program centered around goal making and looking at how our mindset works, as well as the messages we tell ourselves. This isn't therapy in the sense of clinically addressing a specific issue, but looking at how we speak to ourselves-what makes us use certain words/judgements/responses, and what does or doesn't work. This coaching has been extraordinary in shifting my perspective, and, as Marcia says, "rewriting the script." It amazes me how simply changing the context of what we tell ourselves can create an entirely different outcome. I use the term "simply" not implying that the work is easy...I am undoing years of unhealthy patterns and habits....but the tools she gives are realistic and completely doable. I cannot recommend Marcia enough. She will meet you where you are. If you are ready for a deep dive, she's right there ready to jump with you. If you aren't sure what you need or you aren't sure how to even begin to figure out what you may need, she will explore options in a gentle, safe and empathetic way. If you need both (that's me!) she does both. Please give yourself the gift of working with her!
