The food is quick and decent quality. I wish they had more items for folks with dietary restrictions (like vegan or gluten free). My daughter loves their kid's turkey sandwiches. She's only 4 and ate the whole thing today. The only interaction I had with an employee was about my daughter's milk. They showed me where to find it and told me they don't have straws. BEWARE that the hours on Yelp are no longer applicable!!!! They are not open at this location for sit down eating. I drove from Jordan today (quite a hike) to try the restaurant on Wednesday with hours posted 7::30-3:00 and door was locked!!! The store was open with nobody even in the store but restaurant door was closed. I called the phone number and lady answered and said now that they have a food truck they are rarely open and don't have an eat in option. This was very frustrating for me because I had tried their food at the Blues Fest and loved it but would not have driven 35 minutes if I knew the restaurant was closed!! I don't know how to review this because it's not even a restaurant anymore but the food truck food was very good but unorganized because the wait was very long and I was given the wrong sandwich. I've driven by the Hive Cafe often and wanted to stop in, and finally got the chance. It is such a cute spot inside, nicely decorated and comfortable to hang out in. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful as we dined in. They have a great selection of teas, coffee, lattes, and other cold drinks. We tried the corn fritters with hot honey dipping sauce which were absolutely delicious. They were light inside and perfectly fried and crispy on the outside. We each also had a breakfast plate with eggs, toast, sausage, and hash browns with peppers and onions. Everything was delicious. We will be coming back for sure! read more

The Hive Cafe is a little off the beaten path on Old Bridge Street, which is adjacent to the new, elevated bridge between East Syracuse and the new Bridge Street - we only found it by searching for coffee while nearby but it was worth looking for! The coffee was good and the food was fresh and very good. There are many breakfast and lunch choices and the prices are quite reasonable. Service was good and staff were friendly. We happened upon the Hive Cafe while running errands and looking for a place to grab a late morning cup of coffee. Staff were very friendly and helfpul in this very cleverly decorated cafe (you can't help but smile at the consistent theme). Coffees (latte) were good and we added an Almond Cherry Turnover and a Honey Pecan Sticky 'Bee' Bun, both of which were fresh and very good. They gave us a menu to look over (and take home) and we were surpised at the variety of breakfast and lunch entrees and good prices. As we were finishing our coffees they surprised us with a free sample of their "Golden Pollen Puffs" (hot corn fritters with a side of two flavors of honey) which also were very good.
