Well from one phone call I can tell you I won't shop here The kid and I underline the word kid pretty much told me I was stupid and didn't have time for me. If I could leave you less than one star I would. You represent your business when you answer the phone and say their name so why would you act like an ass. It makes no sense to me but I will not be shopping here thank you. Therapy. Lots of therapy needed. Took my R/C truck in for some upgrades and got nothing but headaches and excuses why nothing was done. Model selection poor. If your not in the market for an R/C then just find another store. read more

Strongsville Hobby of Elyria at strongsvillehobby.com. Is terribly run with an out of date web-site. The web-site lists included items that later are not included in the shipment. I bought a Traxxis car from them that their web-site stated was to include a battery and charger but the delivered item did not include either. When I confronted them they first stated that the web-site was not active and then was not their web-site since they changed names again, then stated that the web-site was not updated. They refused to make good on the order and instead offered me $20 for $70 worth of items. Additionally as I respectfully but assertively presented my case Gerry the owner became upset and rude eventfully telling me if I didn't like it to sue him as he has been in business and knows how to handle absurd claims. I've spent a lot of money there and bought many cars, but when you can't even get a spur gear and are then told you should just order it yourself or wait till it comes in, pure B.S. I hope you enjoyed the 30+ years you keep bragging about because I don't see how you can be open for many more with the lack of service and rudeness that is overwhelming there now. I happened to read the reviews of this shop and I felt like I actually needed to do a review. I never post reviews - honestly. This shop is a great resource for those of us which want to get into the RC hobby - they always have a great supply of Traxxas replacement parts and are willing to chat about what you may be trying to do with your car/truck/plane. I have been to hobby town out on the east side and their supply doesn't compare to this shop's replacement parts. The team can special order parts they don't have in stock and it's a really quick turn around. It's a no none sense shop - and if you do a little research before you go in, this shop has the staff that can help solve a problem. I enjoy going there. Those people whom complain about prices - the prices are on par with other shops and online - even amazon. Most of the models they carry or can special order have the prices fixed by the manufacturer. It's not the cheapest hobby - but you get what you pay for and they can help you when you eventually break your toys and need a helping hand getting the parts to fix it. First off the place was a mess with tables and shelves full of random items, felt like a thrift shop or a flea market. I took my grand son there for a part for his little truck. The man at the desk ask if he can help me. Further into the store another person ask the same thing, then another man said he was the owner Gerry an could he help us. I said no we want to look around a little and this seemed to make the owner Gerry angry. He then says well why did you come into my store then. I have no idea why a store owner would act this way to a customer. I wasn't rude to him so him being nasty was very uncalled for. He stomped off and told the first man, you deal with them I don't know what they are here. My grand son looked at the trucks and some masks and toys that were there. All of the items where very high priced, nothing a child could buy. There was a wall full of model cars and I didn't see any priced under $25 some dolls/figurines and plastic boxes of older stuff, like second hand items. It looked a lot like items you would find at garage sales. I watched a worker pull items off a wall by the trucks and he would pull one package and 5-6 would fall to the floor and he left them and walk away. The other glass cases were real old looking and in need of major repair. Shelves in the case where just piled up so you can't see what is in them. I wasn't about to spend money in a place like this and over hear a man at the register ask if they take credit cards. I would never use a credit card in a shabby run down "store" like this. They have nothing no parts, fuel, bodys, tires everything needs to be ordered in special, batterys paint WTF!?? Waste of time and gas, the guy tried to talk me into ordering a charger because they didn't know when they were getting anything in!!??? I went in to get parts for my 4 cars and walked out with a package of bearings. No spur gears no nitro fuel all the parts they had looked like they had been opened and returned, just crap. Walk out with almost nothing after waiting for the fat ass sales guy for like 45 minutes, guy was talking about some kind of work he did years ago. There were 6 people waiting and 2 walked out because this guy ignored everyone. Didn't even have the basic parts for my cars, 15-16 parts and they got 1 of them there. Want to order the rest???!? Hell I can order online why do they even call it a store, they place looks like trash heap, just garbage. read more

What an awful place to go into on a Saturday! Under stocked, understaffed and over priced. Poor quality plastic products and for a store selling 'family friendly' the workers won't let kids walk around alone. DON'T GO. Don't waist your time. Seriously you don't get what's on the photo. You get what you pay for! If the item is only $5 cheap plastic, you're going to get the quality of $5!! Just save your money! This place is dolls for kids and barbie stuff this is not a hobby store. it looks like a garage sale, just trash. there is no way to find anything except models because they cover a wall. I wasn't able to find anything in this place because stuff is just all over the place, no order to any of it. who runs a "store" like this, just close the doors already or at least get in managers that can run the place. don't waste your time here. read more

Just okay, I bought a Traxxas model there, people were pretty nice, not the best environment, but they had a nice selection of stuff.

Great place, recently purchased a new rc from them. The guy who helped me was very nice and knows a lot about Rcs. It is amazing everything about it is awesome. Can't wait to buy something else from them. read more
