We came in for our first birthday party experience and it was fun. It moved very quickly and the staff was very attentive. The kids enjoyed laser tag, and I really liked the pizza! Decided to give this place a try to see what the arcade room is all about…read more The place was clean and spacious, and my kid did have fun, but compared to Dave and Buster's, this place is just not worth it. You can find most of these games at Dave and Busters. The way their point system for games is set up is weird. Let's say a game is 1.5 points--that means they are taking $1.50 from your game card. Many games were 1.5 points, but there were quite a few that went up to 4. So paying $4 to play one game is outrageous and a rip-off, to say the least. At Dave and Buster's, they have a much better system, and your dollar goes a long way compared to this place. Also, some of the claw machines weren't working properly. People would win a toy, but the door wouldn't open to retrieve it. The staff was walking around, and I let them know. They said they were going to get someone, and we waited for maybe 10 minutes, but nobody showed up. I then decided to go find someone working at the shop, and she helped right away. Maybe we will come back and try the bowling and food, but when it comes to the arcade unfortunately we won't be back for that.

Wonderful store! I was hardly prepared for the refreshing experience I found here…read more There are so many games for different consoles, old and new! I found a couple new-to-me, limited release games for my older console. They've also got bunches still in storage, so if you're looking for something specific, just ask! The owners are currently remodeling and expanding into the space next door, with plans to expand their in-store gaming space. It's going to be amazing! There are bunches of other gaming products and accessories to complement both gaming (like controllers, guitars, mics, etc.) and the gaming lifestyle (like mugs, pins, graphic novels, etc.). I'll be back to look for gifts for my gaming family. My eldest bonus boy was excited to see how good a deal was at the Pokémon Trading Card Post. All of the kids found something to call their own. ^_^b Oh, and it isn't for sale, but the collection of Poké Balls from the 1999 Burger King kids' meals at the front desk is so cool!! The complete set!! XD There are a few other things like that sprinkled in the store. Just a joy to see them and enjoy them for a moment. Another thing that isn't for sale--the owners! They are a treasure to speak with, and so knowledgeable about the gamers' universe. My kids were delighted to find ready conversation with them about a bunch of gaming things I didn't fully grok. And I found their expertise deeply fascinating and engaging, as well. All in all, this place is true to its name--The Gamers Oasis. A place where you can relax, sink into a world of gaming for a while, and come away refreshed and powered up for the real-life play outside. 10/10

They have a basement where customers can come in a play games on the consoles. They had mentioned they're thinking of having an hourly rotation of games with sign up lists and schedules for those who are interested. I highly recommend for those who are exploring options for new games or consoles. These individuals are so knowledgeable and passionate about their craft and it truly shows. If you have any questions, concerns, or just looking to look, turn no further.

Worth noting. Good barkeeps, too. The games are old school, and I'm old, so I love this place. Bless 'em for letting me live in my youth for a moment. Cost is reasonable, too. Parking is Benson. Depending on when you go, it could be great, or packed. YMMV. Will definitely return.

There is an upstairs that has the main bar and best games. There are a few booths in the middle of this area, too, so you can take a break (if you're lucky enough to get a booth) between game sessions. They also have a basement that is full of more games, and they sometimes open it up for a small cover that gives you "free play" all day (no quarters required!) You can also rent out the basement for events, which I've been to a few down there (one birthday, one wedding). It would be a super fun place to hold your next event or party. Lastly, they have a VERY wide variety of drinks and beer, so you'll definitely find at least something you like. If you are a fan of old school arcade games, good beer/cocktails, and a bustling good time, Beercade would be right up your (Skee-Ball) alley!

They are 4 and 7, and immediately the extremely friendly front desk clerk made me aware as nicely as possible, that these games are designed for kids 8+. I totally understood as lot of these games are violent, and/or phsycial with the hand tools. However, she graciously allowed them to come back and try some roller coaster rides, my son LOVED it, and my daughter liked it, but as she stated at the beginning these are for older kids so I wasn't surprised. I would definitely recommend coming here with kids in an older crowd. There are so many games and things to play. Next time I would like to try the birria beef instead of the chicken tinga. The pretzel bites were also great...loved the queso. The Bao Birds were a fan favorite as well. Can't find that anywhere else. The only miss was the hummus plate. The edamame hummus was just not good. It was dry and really just lacked flavor to complement the fresh veggies, chips, and toast. It was unique, but I would have preferred a good creamy chickpea hummus and ranch. The server was really nice and really on top of things. The only issue we had was there really wasn't a dedicated person upstairs initially. Not really surprising since it was just us. She did surprise us with a waffle and ice cream dessert, which the kids loved. All in, this please really has something for every one. Look forward to our next visit!
