I stopped by to hopefully find a Rotary Dimmer light switch for my dinette room. My house is 27 years old and I'm struggling to find a direct replacement. Their competitor no longer carries them so I felt defeated in finding one and didn't want to go on Amazon to have to order one. The Home Depot had two in stock! I was totally relived. If they didn't have one, I was going to have to buy two switches to buy a combo switch which would have meant re the two-gang box with a one-gang box along with patching the sheet rock and texturing the wall. The Home Depot saved me! $12.56 +tax. Worth every penny. read more

We have been coming here multiple times within the past week for supplies for an IKEA closet renovation and with every visit everyone is super helpful. We made the joke of what do they put in the water in the break room because everyone just seems to enjoy their job. I've been to another location in the area and this one I get the best help. We were mainly in the paint section as it can be tough on choosing the right colors when you want to paint an area in your home. But got a lot of help and better help than unnamed paint stores that pretty much told us we needed 2 gallons of paint to paint a closet. In reality it took us about 2/3 of a gallon can. I don't have a bad thing to say based on my experiences, which was for really simple basic things. read more

I have experienced great service here in past and today was no exception. Needed a hoe for backyard weeds and a super woman in my over 50 age range helped me. She even asked if I had had one of these before and suggested a YouTube video. Wow. The deduction of a star is due to the fact that it seems all the time that online products showing available in store are not. Today was a lint roller. Before has been paint. Bleh. Bought a washer and dryer from HoDe. Delivery clowns forgot some of our order and then the dryer was dead on arrival. Not HoDe's fault but what is their fault is the absolute maze of disinterested employees who baaaaarely speak English who have no interest in being of assistance whatsoever. I remained polite, which wasn't easy, and through attempted transfers and just bungling was hung up on several times. It's been almost two months - still can't get my clothes washed. DO NOT buy appliances at Home Depot. It's fine if they work, I guess, but when something goes wrong you are simply out of luck. A locally-owned store would have been a much wiser choice. This Home Depot has very knowledgeable staff especially in the flooring department. My wife an I decided to wood flooring down, Robert helped us in every way possible, answered all the questions that we had. We looked everywhere for flooring at other businesses, I didn't feel comfortable buying it from other flooring companies and the reason why, the return policies they had. Some of them didn't even have a return policy. At the Home Depot they had 90 days for any kind of reason you can return it no questions asked. We bought 2700sq ft of wood flooring and literally we only had one box that was damaged, we took it back for an exchange. Also they are a company that is very involved in the community. They hire veterans and have a bunch of works shop at no charge. read more

They make it easy to apply and get the credit card but you aren't able to use it. After spending 2 hours on the phone and on-line going back and forth from HD and Citicards I finally gave up! Home Depot has lots of stock. Much of which I have no idea what it's for. Prices are reasonable. I really like the garden department and they have some fun decor, as well. My most recent excursion through this store was about the norm at this site. After a rather exhaustive and frustrating search throughout the store (in heels), the item I searched for eluded me. At no point did any employee speak with me. No "hello". No "welcome". No "may I help you find something". And lastly, no "goodbye". I will give them this...they are consistent. read more

There are associates that are helpful & friendly & then there are those who are not. All it takes is ONE person to be rude and/or assuming in their treatment toward you & it leaves you wishing you went to their competitor instead. I am not from here nor Southern USA & it is very clear that some ppl here "think" or expect you to be intimidated by them. Their stares, their attitude which comes thru in how they relate to you. Everybody is not a trouble maker just because they raise their voice. Neither do we lack understanding in what you are saying. We just don't agree or think YOU don't understand what we're saying. Every time I've gone to this store there is some male associate that I've seen before giving me glares or making some unnecessary comment. Or some local female with her issues..who "thinks"all women of my ethnicity are ghetto... ..You don't care "how I'm doing today." I'm not trying to start some crap & I'm NOT going to be intimidated or shut down by your behaviour towards me. Treating me like a child or a 3rd class citizen....even if you think so. Stop profiling. Zero stars. We frequent the shops in the cottonwood area and each time I shop at HD it gets weirder and more rude. I looked in front and on shelves for an evaporative cooler bleed off valve and no such thing exists at HD... believe me because I've looked. So I looked for a t coupling. I guess we were shopping at an inconvenient time for the employees. No one asked me or my husband if we needed help. Then an employee drove one of the large metal carts down the aisle we were in and dropped a piece of wood on it so hard it left my ears ringing and they are STILL ringing. Disgruntled employee?? Maybe. He's just a jerk?? Definitely. I said so out loud as he passed but it was more like, "what a d**k!". We had spent some time picking out our things so we bought what we had, but we immediately left the store. One time we shopped here for a washer and dryer and the employee checking us out felt the need to tell me the brand I chose was sh*t. Not my word, it was his. So then I told them what I thought of Home Depot. I'm going to Lowes first, then Ace. That's my new rule. read more

To the young man "Austin" in the paint department (I assume) THANK YOU. I was looking at paint colors when an older man approached me (smelling like alcohol at 10:00am) and started unapologetically hitting on me. I entertained most of the conversation up until he said "well maybe we should paint houses together" (EWW sir). I pointed to my wedding ring and tried to politely tell him to back off but he was not even close to taking the hint. This is when Austin approached and saved me by asking if I had any questions and initiating conversation to make it clear to other guy that the conversation was OVER. Once the guy left I sincerely thanked Austin and went about my business. He didn't have to step in, but he did, making it way easier for me to get out of that situation. I saw security and the police shortly after so I am assuming/hoping they had a conversation with Mr. annoying man. read more

This weekend I called around a few places to find a Christmas tree. I wanted one that was from someplace close. I called this Home Depot, and they told me that their Christmas trees were from Aurora, CO. I thought, great, I'll go there and get one. Better there than one from much further away. I purchased the tree and got it home. Then, looking at the tag I saw that it was from Aurora, but Arrora, Oregon. Our stairs were busted and needed repair. We put off having them fixed due to Covid but when it became a safety hazard we decided it was a necessity to get them done which meant also re-carpeting the entire upstairs. We asked around and a friend recommended Home Depot. From measuring, picking the carpet and the actual installation the entire process was a breeze. They kept us informed of every step of the process. They removed the old carpet and padding, moved the big furniture items, such as a beds, dressers, bookcases and a couch from our study. The crew wore masks, and where friendly and hardworking. Defiantly recommend Home Depot for your flooring needs. We plan on using them again to redo the wood floors downstairs floors but not until things are safer with Covid. read more

This is your typical big box home improvement store. What I do like about this place is their customer service! Whenever I ask where something is, their store associates walk me to the items and ask if I have questions or need additional help. This particular day I came in to buy lots of lumber and have it cut. Ian came by and asked if I needed help. He proceeded to pick out wood for me that were the best shaped for my project. I had over 20 cuts that had to be made and he was so patient with me. He made small talk and was very nice. I do prefer to go to Home Depot rather than Lowe's for this very reason. Seems like a nice store, plenty of staff asking if they can assist us. Unfortunately, from our huge list, we only were able to come out with one item and it has to be returned as we took a chance and it isn't right. I like this store but it lacks inventory for the average consumer. We couldn't find carpet with pricing or information about installation. I do like the garden department and purchased a plant that I am really happy with. I think the layout and or what they carry may be the issue. Moving into a new home with a huge list, we should be able to come out of there with everything we need and then some. read more

I'm pretty used to the Home Depot in my hometown in CA, so I was expecting this one to be just as friendly. I was wrong. When I looked for help, the employees would either avoid eye contact so they wouldn't have to engage with a customer or acted like they were "put out". Very frustrating. One basically waved in a direction saying " you can find those over there somewhere.."..gee, don't over exhert yourself, Buddy! After thirty minutes of crappy service, my husband and I gave up and went to Lowes where their service was a complete 180 from what we dealt with at Home Depot. read more

ORDERING APPLIANCES: They do not keep inventory for almost all their appliances, which means your orders are shipped directly from the manufacturer. With the advent of modern technology, they still have no direct connection to the inventory databases of their manufacturers. This means you can place an order, pay for the items, schedule a delivery and plan to have someone meet the delivery people on the promised date and still have NO APPLIANCES. You will, however, receive a automated call from a restricted telephone number notifying you that your item is BACK ORDERED and you will be given a new date of delivery. You have the option to pick a different date from the date they give you, but since you were not expecting the call, thereby, not prepared for the PROBLEM, it's really hard to figure it out. There is no call back number, nor is there an option to talk to a human. By the way, it's been my experience that BACK ORDER really means INDEFINITELY. read more

So I tried to use the so call curbside option. I thought my order would be ready in 2 hours but giving what's going on it took a day and half which is fine. I got an email that my order is ready to pick and when I get to store to call and say Curbside. I tried to call, It ranged 14 min and still no answer. By this time I m still on the line of cars. A young lady comes up and ask for order number, I showed her my phone and asked her to hear that I'm still waiting for someone to answer the phone, she said she didn't know why they sent that email as they don't have anyone answered the phone for pickup. You just show up and when you get up front you give them the order number. All and all it took for ever to get my order. If you're going to offer this service make sure you guys have the resources to do it somewhat right. I'm not asking for perfection but if there is no one to call don't send an email to say that. I will no longer use this service. read more

I will never shop at Home Depot again. I purchased a $10 can of chalkboard paint and two paint brushes. The security guard watched me ring up my purchase at a self checkout. He then rudely told me he needed to see my can of paint not 8 feet from where I checked out. He didn't ask nicely, he demanded. The security guard then proceeded to yank the receipt out of my hand and take a photo of it with his tablet. My husband offered up his receipt for his staple gun and staples to the security guard and was treated a lot nicer. I will not shop where I am going to be treated like a criminal. I get that theft is at an all time high but treating paying customers like I was treated is ridiculous. There is a Lowes less than a quarter mile from this Home Depot. Security Check: I'll have to agree with the security receipt check as being an issue. The security guard was standing 8' from me when I checked out and still wanted to review my receipt. In a previous post HD responded to another customer complaint stating that they didn't understand why the customer was upset about the security guard...REALLY!? Perhaps you shouldn't be the store representative if you can't understand the complaint. Use common sense! Don't security check the obvious. Check when the store is busy or, profile if you have to. At least be smarter than TSA. Treating the customer with some realm of sensitivity and appreciation and common sense was the point. read more

I had ordered a couple of items online to be picked up at the local Home Depot store. One item was in stock and available right away while the other was back ordered and had to be shipped to the store, taking several weeks to arrive. No problem there with me so I placed the order. Well, the back ordered item came in today and I went down to the Home Depot & picked it up. It was in a brown box with my last name printed in bold letters on a large yellow label. Easy to spot & pick out, right. When I got home and opened the box I discovered that the item that I had received was not the item that I ordered. On further inspection of the box there was a smaller white shipping label with a different person's name and order number on it. So, I called the Home Depot 800 number and told the lady about the mix up. No trouble she said, just take the wrong item back to the store where you can pick up the correct item. Now I am elderly & a disabled Vietnam Veteran, and the Corona virus is raging out there just waiting to dig it's claws into me. It was all I could do to make it to their store this morning and pick up my order and I sure wasn't going out and risk myself again. So I asked if they could please deliver the correct order to me and pick up the wrong one. NO! she says, We don't do that! We will arrange to pick up the wrong order but you will have to go back to the store to get your correct one. Whaaaat??? Well, that just showed me how little the Home Depot thinks of their customers, and you should be aware of that fact before dealing with them in the future. You are nothing and your money is everything to them. I've owned several business in my lifetime and whenever we screwed up we bent over backwards to make it right & keep our customers happy so that the would come back. So, I'm done now with The Home Depot and I told the rep so, but she really didn't care. I will pay off my Home Depot credit card and close the account and from now on I will take my business to Lowes where they have always appreciated having me as a customer. It would have cost The Home Depot so little to make things right but I guess they feel that their business is more important than the customers who buy from them. read more

Home Depot's management went above and beyond customer service for me on Saturday March 18 2019. I had purchased a bagster from Home Depot. In case you don't know what The Bagster is.....it is a large square bag that you fill up with items you would normally haul to the dump. When you are all done you make arrangements to have the bag hauled away. That is what I did and the bag was still sitting on my front driveway Saturday morning,while we are planning a large party for my granddaughters first birthday. Waste Management does not pick up on Saturday's.I called Home Depot with my problem and Jeff Sachs, Christian the assistant manager and another associate showed up on Saturday morning and removed the bagster from my driveway. I am very grateful for their services they came in and handled my situation quickly and efficiently. Customer service at its finest! Thank you so much gentlemen for saving our party! read more

If this could be a 0 star review it would be. This was by far the worst customer service experience we have ever had. We made a rather large purchase from Home Depot for some new carpet for our new home. They subcontracted out to an installation company that cut every corner they could during the installation process and as a result of their lazy installation process my children have been injured by multiple tacks sticking up from around every edge of the carpet as well as staples that the installation company failed to clean up. We tried to work with this Home Depot to find a resolution but they have been completely unwilling to work with us, telling us that we had to let the installation company resolve the issues. After having the installation company back out to "fix" the problem the carpet is now loose and our walls are damaged, and we still have tacks sticking out of the carpet. Both Home Depot and the installation company have repeatedly told us that having these tacks sticking out is normal......really - because I don't recall my feet being sliced open by carpet ever before???? Our pediatrician has recommended that our children wear shoes at all times on our carpet to avoid further injury. The manager of this Home Depot offered to refund a portion of the price of the purchase so that we could find something else, and then refund the remainder once we have the new carpet installed and return the carpet to him. We agreed to this, were told that it would take 3 weeks and 4 weeks later have received no refund. We contacted them again to find out what the status of our refund is and he said we will get nothing back until we return his carpet. This is just not realistic considering the carpet is in the entire upstairs area where all of the bedrooms are and returning it at this point would leave us with baseboards until we find something else, and we have NO FUNDS to purchase new carpet because Home Depot has all of the money we had allocated to this project. Considering the fact that they have a 90 day satisfaction guarantee on their carpet we are baffled by the lack of customer service that we have received from Home Depot. They have not once sent someone out from the store to verify the issues that we have had and they refuse to work with us to resolve this issue, and they have lied to us about processing a partial refund. In the meantime, we are still living out of boxes as we have not been able to fully move into our bedrooms upstairs because we will just need to move everything again for a new carpet installation......once we have money to buy new carpet. At first we just had issues with the installation, but this has been handled so badly by Home Depot that we will NEVER make a major purchase with them again, and I would strongly recommend that you DO NOT PURCHASE CARPET FROM HOME DEPOT. This is the only installation company that they use, so unless you want to hear your children scream out in pain from their feet being sliced open, avoid Home Depot carpet at all costs. read more

Ghastly customer service--employees milling around all over the place but if you manage to catch one, it's never one who's in his or her own department. I was not there at a busy time of day. The clincher for me was when, after waiting for someone to help me load my new cast iron sink into my car, I finally gave up and took my new purchases right over to Returns. I waited at least 3 minutes as the employee finished saran-wrapping merchandise before waiting on me. read more

Wish I could do negative stars. Life is too short to deal with the utter ineptitude displayed by this store's personnel. Ordered and paid for an in stock door on 6/27/2015. Home Depot installer called on 6/29/2015 and set an install appointment for 7/8/2015 between 8 and 10 am. After calling the installer several times when no one showed up, I was finally told that Home Depot did not have the door. I called the store to speak to the store manager. Spoke with Andrea who said she was the manager on duty. She asked me to give her 30 minutes and she would call back with explanation. Hasn't called back. No explanation. We now remember why we began dealing with everyone but Home Depot. The entire experience sucked! read more
