However, if you are looking for a place to where associates and managers are actually startled, perplexed and perhaps even annoyed to have to actual perform the functions of their employment, this may be the place for you. If you are a fan of sadism, disrespect, non apology, apologies, lack of accountability and/or responsibility, and being spoken to in a condescending manner, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU, no judgement from me, whatever floats your boat. On Tuesday, October 14th, we purchased a GE refrigerator, from the Aurora Store, in Colorado at Abilene and Mississippi. We were told that the refrigerator would be delivered on Thursday, the 16th, with a delivery window of noon -4p. On Thursday, the delivery team arrived nearboout 12:13, as indicated by video footage to our home. However, a delivery person, of which there were two, never left the vehicle, nor approached the house, even though at roughly the same time, an Amazon driver was also delivering a package. The delivery driver did however, take a picture of our home, and left stating no one was home, when in fact there were two adults home, one, who had taken the day off of work to be there to receive said delivery. Upon calling to HD to, ya know, let them know that we are here, and have been here, anxiously anticipating the delivery, because, well, we have food, medication, formula and breast milk that REQUIRES constant refrigeration, we were told unceremoniously that "sometimes the delivery people don't ring the bell", with the breezy, cavalier confidence of someone who spent two weeks at ITT technical institute, and now believes they are a fully equipped ER, with the ability to dispense medical advice and schedule 2 drugs. No accountability, no responsibility, in fact, I was told that they contract out for their deliveries, so they are not responsible for the delivery not being delivered. Even so, HD has a responsibility to their customer, which they entered into a contract, but if there is a way to evade responsibility, and pass the proverbial buck, they will. We are out thousands of dollars for the cost of the refrigerator, and another thousand plus, because of food, medication, formula loss, and they best they can offer is a delivery of the 20th of October, and even then, they can't guarantee that the delivery folks will actually ring the bell, to deliver the items. They just show up at your place, use some form of mental telepathy to determine if you're home, take a picture of your home, and speed off, without having to do the actual work or delivering anything. It's a good gig, if you can get it. There's a tried and true way of determining if people are home, ya know, in the olden days, people used to actually knock on doors, and/or ring bells. It has and still does prove to be quite effective, perhaps they should consider this tried and true method. After having not shopped HD for over ten years, this experience reminds me why we stopped. It is clear to me that they are uninterested in our business, or that they are willing to do anything other than pass the buck. This is beyond appalling, frustrating, upsetting and frankly unacceptable. It is further insulting, problematic and indicative of customer service at Home Depot, once they have your money in hand, there is no incentive to do right by you, or service after the sale. Big chains frequently receive bad reviews, largely because of staffing issues and trickle-down effect (issue) related to those issues. I wanted to take a minute to give some much needed praise to the management team at the Aurora Home Depot #1501 and Sedgwick, their claims management company. Exactly one week ago I backed my big ol' pickup truck into a parking space just like I've done thousands of times before. From the view of my backup camera I could see that there was a tree just behind the curb of my spot, what I didn't see was the tree branch that protruded over and into my parking spot...then I heard the sound of glass shattering and knew that could only mean one thing. The very cool all-glass rear door of my extended-height topper must have hit something...but what? I could see the tree a safe distance from my rear bumper in my camera, I was perplexed. This is where the "picture is worth a thousand words" saying comes into play. Either Home Depot or Sedgwick could have said "you backed your truck into a tree and think it's our fault?" Rather, they both saw their liability in the incident and ponied up to pay the roughly $1K it's going to cost me to replace the rear door. Thank You! read more

OK...the massive amount of illegal immigrants in the parking lot has gotten ridiculous. I was there Tuesday, 5/27/2025, and I could barely get through the main drive down the center of the parking lot, due to people flagging me down and jumping in front of my work truck. There were 50+ down that center main drag, and another 50-75 lining the street to the east. I don't fault them for wanting work, but I also know people who have been offered "use" of some of these folks wives. I will not return to this store until this gets cleared up; it doesn't feel safe. If you're looking for something to complete your project I suggest you go to Lowe's first. If on the off chance they don't have it, and you have to go to the Home Depot, first check behind the bags of fertilizer for an associate that's hiding out to help you, or maybe wander around the store and interrupt four or five of them chatting in a row while customers look glassy eyes trying find an item while associates just wander the store. Expressed concern to management upon arrival about 50 masked men and my safety st 9 am, Saturday morning. Angel, manager on duty scoffed at me. I went to load my truck 50 ft from front door. No less than 4 separate masked men approached me within a couple feet asking for money to help me load. None spoke English. Masks, hoodies and ball caps were the norm of all of them standing around. One approached me as I exited contractor entrance. Some darted around panel van parked a space away from me. About 50 men total lurking within 100 ft of me. Scary place. Pics show just about 10 or so men of the 50 total. I complained to corporate. The store manager called and blew it off too. The way the men were looking around and very uneasy which tells me they were nervous. Their nervous behavior was scary. Home Depot doesn't care that I was terrified. read more

I purchased a Milwaukee tool set from the store. I selected the option for a military discount and called an associate over to verify and input the discount. They didn't check my veteran status and didn't give me the discount. They were just standing around not doing anything or assisting customers. Don't expect a good shopping experience in the evenings. I'll be going to speak with a manager in the morning concerning this issue. The store associates on the front end are not helpful and have attitudes. They prefer to stand around to earn their check and assist customers and have pleasant attitudes. I'm not satisfied with the treatment of a customer, especially a veteran customer. read more

I just left this store and paid $8.99 to avoid having to deal with anyone else here. I asked no fewer than 6 people for help finding the same item, got conflicting suggestions and no one could find it when I pulled up the item image AND SKU number. After waiting about five minutes for help that never came, I just paid for what I did have and left. read more

I don't know why I keep wasting my time coming here. This home depot sucks. I'm an electrician and every time I come here for supplies the electrical section is trashed out and extremely unorganized. They never have any stock of things I actually need. And you have to go on a literal mission to find someone to help. This is the Home Depot at East Arapahoe and South Boston near I-25. It's normally the one I shop at, few problems over the years. Went in and loaded up on plants and when I went to check-out, requested some boxes to hold them so they would not spill out all over the back of my pickup. The Nursery check-out lady was irritable at the request, and suggested I get boxes from the service desk. I went there, the girl I asked was also irritable and stated they had no such items. I returned to the Nursery and stated I needed the usual container holders they provided when requested, and her response was to curtly close the checkout door on me. Left all of my stuff there and went next door to Lowe's where the items were limited and a little more expensive, but the staff was far more courteous and accommodated me with the stabilizing holders. As an afterthought, I returned to HD, next door, to inform the manager of the issues. As I described it, in a normal voice, it was apparent that other customers were listening in, He requested I lower my voice, I told him I was speaking normally and that perhaps the other customers should hear the issues. He curtly told me the conversation was over and I could leave. I left letting him know what I thought of his competence. Even though this is the closest Home Depot to my home, I will NEVER shop here again, its Lowe's or Big Box from now on. read more

I'm giving this very low score based on the 2 employees, girls, that ignored us when we walked in. I made direct eye contact with a short mexican girl with glasses and gestured to her needing help, she turned her back on us and got her phone out! The girl next to her, another employee, was also on her phone and ignored us until we asked for help. Where is the customer service these days? Only has 1 star because you can't give 0! We were expecting a delivery of our new refrigerator today between 12:30-4:00, we had things to do but we're going to be here by then. My husband even called to make sure they called 30 minutes before this mornin. They call at 12:13 and say they are here and my husband says someone will be here right away and they say that's fine they are going to eat lunch. My husband gets here at 12:30 and they have left and when he called they said they can't contact the truck so we have to reschedule for sometime Monday! I don't know why I expect so much from a home store. It took 3 people to tell me where trash cans were. This is the home store, I would think people would know where the trash cans were. Can't give then totally bad mark because I did special order something online and instead of shipping it back I was able to return it to the store. This did save me a ton of time not having to go to the post office and not having to wait an extra 10-21 days for the refund to hit my credit card. read more

I just made my first trip to HD since Covid, and I was impressed by the systems they have in place. I had heard about the line to get in otherwise I would've been alarmed when I got there, but the attendant was letting people in two at a time and it moved rapidly. Inside I found the staff to be friendlier and more helpful than usual and I realized that really goes a long way to alleviate my mask stress. The reason for 4 stars was that the inventory in the garden area was a little depleted but otherwise it's a big thumbs up for HD on Mississippi!! read more

This location is disappointing. We went several times while working on a DIY project in our home and each time we experienced issues. Everything from misinformation on what the store carried (appliance hand truck) to mis priced merchandise and even waiting for 40 minutes for someone to cut some wood for us, only to discover the saw was broken and the person who put out the call knew it was broken. Definitely worth a trip to another location. read more

This is my third time at this Home Depot and each and every time has been a rough experience I am now waiting for three minutes to do a return when they open at 7 AM and it's cold outside and it's windy outside and the lady said I could not wait by the doors on the inside because of machines being operated. After waiting the 4-6 minutes freezing outside the door, I was able to make the return. The Lady that was a complete jerk to me is Chalinia. I believe she is an opening manager and that's all. I stood in an aisle waiting for someone to come make me a spare key. s Several people said they would call someone no one ever came. I watched several employees walk past me multiple times without offering assistance. Home Depot may be satisfactory for the DIY shopper, but their professional installation services are anything but professional. On July 7, 2021, I ordered over $4,000 of appliances from LOWES with guaranteed delivery and installation in a week (July 14), but when HOME DEPOT quoted $200 less on the exact same appliances, I cancelled the order with LOWES and went with HOME DEPOT even though the delivery and installation through them would be 1 1/2 months out (August 21). Gotta save money, right? WRONG. BIG MISTAKE. Upon arrival the delivery/installer stated that he would not be able to install the dishwasher or refrigerator and would simply drop them in my garage. I convinced him to at least get the refrigerator into the kitchen for us and let me hook it up. Which he did but he still refused to deliver the dishwasher anywhere except the garage and failed to leave the installation kit and power cord that were ordered with it. However, he was successful at plugging in the oven/range into the existing outlet (such skill). However, he was unable to securely attach the microwave above the range and left it hanging by a single thread of one bolt. After a visit to the store and several phone calls later, we were eventually able to schedule someone to come out on September 2nd (over two weeks later) and attempt to resolve the situation, but they were a No Call/No Show. After a few phone calls yesterday and couple more today I was finally able to get them to reschedule the completion of the installation for September 10th (another week out). The headache has not been worth the $200 saved, and I think that LOWES has found themselves a new loyal customer. read more

This is by far the worst Home Depot I have ever gone to, and I shop Home Depot 15-20 times a week all over the state of Colorado. They rarely order commonly used electrical materials, and even if the app says they have 100 of something, it will not be located where it is supposed to be, and the barely functioning employees seem like they are lost and have no idea where they are even at. The last two times I have been to this location, I have left empt handed because even though they had what I needed in stock, no employee was able to help locate anything. If you spend the extra time driving to another location, you will actually save time by not having to circle the store 30 times to eventually leave without anything and still have to go to another store. read more

Terrible location. It's impossible to find an employee to help you find something. I was here on a Sunday morning and there wasn't a single employee besides 3 cashiers. I had previously done an online order that was delivered here but when I went to pick it up they couldn't find it. It took 20 minutes to locate and then it was missing pieces and I had to return it. I highly recommend finding a different store. Update: Silly me, I tried another online order here. 3 days after UPS delivered it they still hadn't contacted me to say it was ready, so I just went in. They couldn't find it. I waited, probably, 30 minutes, then they said they'd have someone deliver it to my house when they found it. 2 weeks later they still hadn't found it, and had done nothing to resolve the problem, so I had them give me a refund. I purchased a new home that needed new flooring everywhere. I went to Home Depot and paid $10,500 for materials and installation. An inspector came to my house before any money was exchanged to make sure the job was doable. He removed the vent cover in the living room to inspect underneath but did not do the same in the kitchen. HOM Solutions (company that does the installation for Home Depot) said they would be able to do the job so I paid in full. We scheduled them to come out June 19-20, and gave notice to our landlords to be out by July 1. On June 19 the HOM Solutions installer came out as planned. He lifted up the vent cover in the kitchen and said he couldn't do the install due to plywood being under the tile. Something the inspector should have caught. They wanted us to hire a third party to rip out the plywood, then come back and do the install at another time. Since we had already given our notice to landlords, we could not wait for a third party to come out, then HOM Solutions again whenever they could reschedule us. One of the managers at Home Depot Store #1501 recommended Pedro Ortiz to do the ripping out and installation. We really had no choice due to time restraints so we agreed. He did a very sloppy job and I can't believe Home Depot would recommend this person to any of their clients. This store is never stocked and their lumber selection is terrible. Pricing is never displayed correctly and there is trash everywhere. Employees never acknowledge that a customer is right in front of them. I would say I'm being harsh during Covid times but this store has always been like this. Jason in returns was the most helpful Home Depot associate I have ever encountered. When I came in because the items were not correct, he went above and beyond to help me find what I needed. when the other guy in the section was rude, I went back to him and he even took the time to walk me to where the tools I needed were. Not only that, but he recommended an even better tool to do the job, and had the best attitude about it the entire time.
