I love hardware stores but I try to avoid Cashier Corrine at every visit . Every single time I've interacted with her it's been unpleasant . She never smiles , says good morning/afternoon back maybe 1/10 times and is always in a bad mood. I recently purchased a lot of lumber and accidentally grabbed more than I needed. I told her I'll take 3 of those off and put them back when I found them . Over the years the The "lip sucking ", "eye rolling" , "loud sigh" after asking this employee the simplest of things is completely unacceptable. For years we have mistakenly purchased Home Depot made water spray bottles to provide additional moisture for garments during post-laundering. Within this ultra dry, high alpine environment it's imperative clothing be laundered properly or sheets pressed without wrinkle. In a community with limited high quality dry cleaning options, it is some times better just to be done in house. With that, I took it as just a given that these spray bottles are made to work for a very limited time. Use 'em, trash 'em. Repeat. Pay $2-$3 per unit and just accept it is low quality. I'm no longer ascribing to that as an acceptable answer. A well-distributed spray becomes non-existent soon after purchase. Water is eventually released inconsistently and with a disappointing outcome unless you soak the garment. Some times the spray handle apparatus falls apart. These bottles are just poorly made. That's it. Whether you're laundering apparel yourself or have assistance no one should be subjected to this consistent lack of quality. No more. We will continue with our spray bottle method as steaming does not always provide the same results, but we will not use Home Deport made or promoted spray bottles. Obviously, it's not the price. It's the premise. They are low quality. Poor performance. Not recommended. Ever. read more

I'm going with four stars because it's a huge Home Depot up in the mountains where we're lucky to have it. The selection and inventory is pretty good even during the winter season. However, there's also a big annoyance of mine with this location. The Verizon cell coverage in the area is horrible, to the point that I often can't even make a phone call from their parking lot. Additionally, Home Depot hasn't deployed wifi hotspots out to the parking lot. Why is this relevant? Well, because it means curbside pickup is useless if you're a Verizon customer because with no cell+data and no wifi, there's no way to use the app, or phone, to let the store know you're there when you pull into a curbside pickup spot. No one from the store watches the spots, so sitting there for a while won't help you. read more

Purchased Samsung over the range microwave. Home Depot installed the new unit and we were happy with the service and the install. Also bought the 5 year extended warranty. Microwave worked for 9 days and then stopped heating. Samsung informed us they don't have service technicians in Summit County. Began working with Home Depot in Avon, where we bought the microwave, and still have no resolution- latest comment is 'they don't know how long it will be until Samsung can service the microwave'. Bought the microwave from Home Depot- expect a resolution from Home Depot. Not acceptable- since the microwave is installed we are stuck. read more

I live in Avon, CO and this store has horrible customer service. I am trying to get in touch with the Countertop sales rep Gail D. So far I have been on hold for over 35 minutes and no answer . I need to go over my quartz countertop order. A few weeks ago I sent her an email (kitchendesigner_1525@homedepot.com) , as she gave me her business card, she never replied. When I got to the store she told me , "she never answers her emails as she would not get her job done if she did" . Always very disorganized. Management should head down to lowes in Glenwood Sorings to see what an organized store looks like. The other day I had two small kids and their mom waiting in the car on a hot day. I dropped of a paint sample and asked for a quart. The employee said it will be ready in 10 minutes. I walked the aisles for 15 minutes before I returned to pick it up. When I got back to the paint counter I saw that he hadn't even begun to start process for my paint. I said " you haven't started it?" While he was having a conversation with an attractive woman that must have distracted him. I explained my situation and he said "too bad! Employees were very helpful... But kind of didn't know where everything was at. I came here looking for headphones for my iPhone- which I realize prolly isn't something people typically go to Home Depot for. However my father said that he's seen headphones for $5 at Home Depot previously, so I knew they had them, just didn't know where to find them. I walked in and first asked a gentleman standing at the desk, he directed me to isle 17. I got there and found earplug sets. Ummm not what I was looking for lol I believe he misunderstood me. So I ask another employee and she was a lot more helpful. She walked me over to the electronics section and I found the earbuds that ply into my phone. I walked to the cash register and my dad came over and showed me the $5 headphones that I was looking for- I guess they were up at the cash register when you checkout. The ones she had directed me to were $12. Not a big deal but kind of sad that my dad was able to find exactly what I needed quicker than the staff. Again staff was friendly and helpful and definitely tried to assist me with what I needed, but wasn't really able to. I wish I could give a "0". I used the Yelp app to call Home Depot. I went through their phone tree 7 (yes, seven!) times. I never reached a person/department or was able to even leave a message. The purpose of my call was to complete an order for multiple appliances. I was supposed to have received a call from them (per my in store visit 2 days ago. The appliance Dept. "dropped the ball" and did not call me. Now I'm trying to reach them but cannot reach anyone at 4:55pm on a Wed. I guess I need to call Lowe's to see if they can do better. read more

I live near this store and it's the only option in my rural area. I have tried to be a patron of the store since it has opened but over time the service has become increasingly worse in regards to service, cleanliness and stock. Currently, as other reviews state, the online stock listed for the store is not actually there and you cannot call the store to physically check it without waiting for a minimum of 15 minutes to speak to someone who usually cannot help you or even dis-connects you so you have the pleasure to start the process all over again. I really wish the store could be adequately staffed with qualified people but that just doesn't seem to be a corporate priority because I have often thought service lacked in most other stores I have visited throughout the state as well. read more

This is the worst Home Depot I have ever been to and I've lived around and shopped at many Home Depots and Lowes. First, they have very little stock on hand; they didn't have any electrical switches or receptables! Hello, the most common item for electrical ever needed. We paid $50 to have them measure for carpet, stock carpet (nothing special) and they said it would be 3 to 4 weeks for installation. Of course that's an unacceptable time period; we went to a local flooring store and they literally installed carpet for us the next day after measuring. We ordered a washer and it was delayed, then delayed again. Washer still hasn't been delivered. The staff are almost entirely young, not technically able and honestly (unfortunately) not the least bit helpful. The location is good - right next to Walmart and easy to get to, parking is good. Terrible store - go to speciality stores for lumber, electrical, countertops and appliances and you'll be better off. read more

I reserved a power rake for rental from Home Depot in Avon, CO. A hold was placed on my credit card and I received a confirmation that said they would have it ready for pick up at 9:00 a.m. When I arrived at 8:50 the guy who worked there said they had cancelled my reservation and that both of the power rakes were out for the day. He continued that the website reservation system doesn't work and they don't use it. When I asked him how I was supposed to reserve/rent a power rake from Home Depot he gave me a piece of paper, told me to write my name and phone number on it and he would call me when one of the rakes was brought back in. Not sure about anyone else, but I'm not waiting by the phone to have some fool from Home Depot call me. Absolutely the worst customer service ever. Also, don't try calling the store - the phone rings forever and when they pick up they put you on hold! The only reason they stay in business is because they have no competition! read more

Worst shopping experience I have ever had. Seems like there are a bunch of associates but when you need to find someone in a specific department they are not to be found. Waited for an hour for someone to cut MDF, the employee was rude, unprofessional and clueless as to what she was doing. I just bought a house and have been to this Home Depot at least ten times in the past month for projects. The service is comically horrible. I have asked at least 6-7 people questions about tools, blinds, paint, flooring and have not ONCE met a person who knew ANYTHING. Once a guy called a specialist on laminate flooring over the radio to come help, I waited 20 minutes he never came. Once I wanted carpet cut for a room, no one could figure out how to use the carpet cutting machine! Once I came in with all my window measurements and left info for a blinds quote and never received one! These are just what comes to mind. The customer service is laughable. This is a nasty place to do business. They give inaccurate delivery dates. I checked multiple times on my delivery date including the day of delivery. I was assured that my delivery date was accurate. Based on that information, I scheduled installation. Not only was my product not delivered, I couldn't re-schedule my plumber for an entire week AFTER the product was delivered. My advice is shop through local plumbing suppliers. I went to home depot early in July to order some carpet, (because it is the only supplier in the area). After waiting nearly 45 minutes for a rep to assist me at the carpet counter, I got my quote scheduled for someone to come out and measure. You would think that something as simple as coming on the right day for the measurement would be an easy task, but they showed up on the wrong day when I was at work, so therefore they were unable to get in the house. Delaying the measurement until another day when we could reschedule. We finally settled on a day when I could get them in the house (that we were not yet living in at the time) to measure, and I told them to call me when they got there so I could be sure that they got the correct rooms measured. Of course they did not, and I received a quote for $500 dollars over what they had initially estimated. I reviewed the measure, and found that they had added on an additional room DOWNSTAIRS, when I specifically told them that it was only the upstairs that I wanted carpeted. Normally, I would be shocked by the quote, but after seeing how shady Home Depot is with the quotes and estimates, I kind of expected it. After straightening things out, we finally ordered the carpet and they told me it would be a few weeks until the carpet arrived. They then send you off to some company called Home Solutions that takes care of the install. You have a better chance of getting hit with lightning than you do getting a hold of these people on the phone. 6 WEEKS LATER, they call and tell me that the carpet had arrived and we were ready to set up an install date. We decide on a date and then they told me they would call the day before to specify an exact time. After calling them and leaving several voice mails the day before to try and figure out when these yahoos were coming, it climaxed with 0 success...leaving me to wonder if they were actually going to come or not. The next day, which I had requested off from work, (Day of Supposed Install), I call several more times in the morning to try and figure out when these mystery men were coming to lay my carpet. NO ANSWER ALL DAY LONG. They finally call the next day to apologize on their techs calling in, and we proceed to set up another install date. At this point, I would've gladly taken my service elsewhere, but we live in a remote mountain area with good ole' Home Depot being our only option. Anyways, we set up another install day, which I can't make, but my dear wife who had just had a baby was able to get off work in order to be there. Two days of missed work out of our budget to try and accommodate these people to lay our darn carpet that we paid plenty of money for. Well wouldn't you know it, the same issue of not being able to get ahold of anybody to figure out when the hell they were coming to our house. Day of rescheduled install, we finally get a call from one of the techs saying they wouldn't be there until the afternoon now. Perfect. Wife has an appointment for our infant son to get to, so I leave work early to get to the house to let them in. More money gone. The installers work until late that night, and you think at this point, with the steam coming out of my ears from this whole ordeal that they would be sure to clean up well. They left all of their scraps and the giant leftover pad that I now have to take to the dump and spend more money on. WOW home depot, I hope you're proud of your customer service and glad to know that I will never be coming back to you stores anywhere in the country as for the rest of my friends and family. I will deliberately drive 50 miles out of my way just to make it to another store where they will actually appreciate us as customers. And here's the best part...I called the store and told them the whole story on what had happened and my experience, and we talked about a reimbursement for my troubles. The lady went on to day that a manager would be in contact with me to take care of the case. Well, guess what? NOTHING. NO PHONE CALL, NO NOTHING. Suprised? Me neither. For anybody out there trying to decide if Home Depot is the right place for you for your install, say NO, just like you'd say no to drugs. Run away as fast as you can. The manager Alicia was extremely rude and smelled horribly. I spend avg of $1,000 a week but Alicia felt that the chainsaw I was returning wasn't bought there. No other place sells it for about 200 miles. I will now spend my thousands at Lowe's. Alicia shocked me when she said she was the manager as she was asking the counter help on what to do. She was extremely rude treating me like a their as well as the other customers in line they where giving trouble too. Worst experience so far, the treatment was unacceptable. This never happen to me before with no one single door vendor I been used it in the pass, I been told so many times the doors should arrive 3 weeks ago! 30 doors! The required preparations and staining and finish, installation, and protections for a 4 M dollar house! The is been almost completed except for the doors! I have to spend to pay compensation for the delays to my client the have to come of my pocket for not been delivered on time, the completion of the house is been delay and rental agreements was already in place! On delivery October 1. totally my fault to buy true homedepot special orders I should listen to the reviews and my general contractors friends about what terrible service homedepot offer regarding this. Our project been delay many weeks! Dates are been changing every few days, I been told about 5 different times doors will come and then change the days like not big deal, If I don't ask I do not been informed the all. 1 star is still too high. Worst store ever. I've been trying since the end of May to get a refrigerator delivered. First fridge arrived to their store damaged. So they order a second one......3 weeks later surprise, surprise, its damaged too. They offered a discount to reorder another fridge instead of me canceling and just going to Lowes. 3 weeks go by without any communication from anyone at the store. So I call and get told someone will look into and call me back. Well no one looked into it and no one called me back. I called back AGAIN to figure out where the fridge is...... Somehow no one ordered the 3rd fridge. I should have just went to Lowes at this point, but no they assured me it was getting ordered correctly and would be deliver by end of July. Well end of July comes and goes, still no call. So I call AGAIN, well fridge arrived but no one called to schedule the delivery. So now we are into August, I am told they are delivering the fridge on the 7th and will call me the morning of to give me my delivery window. 10 o clock rolls around and magically no call. So I call AGAIN, well, they overbooked their truck so it won't be getting delivered. My wife had taken the day off so she could be there so lovely waste of a day off. I give them once last chance to right their wrong. They offer me more of a discount and assure me it's being delivered on the 9th. 9th rolls around I'm expecting a call between 8:30-9.....Guess what NO CALL!!!! SO I call AGAIN, I've called so much when they answer they know it's me, I'm told it's on the truck should be delivered this afternoon. 2 o'clock hits and my wife lets me know there's a message on her phone that, you guessed it fridge was damaged and they can't deliver. At this point; 2+ months, 3 fridges, me being on a first name basis with the front desk I finally talk to a manager. Their solution well we can either reorder the fridge or refund me because they have nothing in stock. I could have dealt with the fridge being damaged, to a certain extent, but the sheer lack of communication and customer service is where I loose it. Moral of the story you're better off building a refrigerator out of ice and cinder blocks then having it delivered by homedepot. We ordered bathroom cabinets for a house we are moving into 3/15. The cabinets were supposed to arrive 2/19, but two of the cabinets were lost in shipping. Now they are expected to arrive 3/19, long after our contractor is gone, and after we're moving into a house ... without a functioning master bathroom. The manager of HD has not returned my calls. Needless to say, through no fault of our own, but through the shipping company HD choose to use, this put us behind schedule, is costing us extra money and a lot of extra hassle. HD has not offered any type of recompense for the problem and, in fact, seems to be ignoring us. Stay away. read more

I have never been in a Home Depot that has such rude employees. We were in last Monday and I went to the customer service counter and asked the woman working to find something for me that my husband had just returned 10 minutes earlier bc they didn't have the bigger bolts we needed and no more of the smaller ones so we wanted to rebuy the ones we returned. Annoying I know, but not overly difficult for her as they were in a bin behind her. She then said to me "try walking in my shoes for a week and see how you like it. There are always customers like you who bitch!" I wasn't complaining just asking a favor. She then said to me " we have a new regional manager who would be happy to show you the door and tell you to not come back". Really???? Then today I was in an aisle and an employee screamed at me "hey you get out of here". He was getting something off a high shelf but there are nicer ways to talk to customers who keep your store afloat. I will never go back to this store - there's a Lowes in Silverthorn who will be getting my business! And to your new regional manager, you won't need to show me the door I will find it myself and never come back! read more
