After purchasing the wood didn't think much about the price until I wen to the HD, sticker shock is what we will call it. The people made me feel like I did not know what I was doing which in fact I don't work in construction so maybe I looked like I was in the wrong place and that was an excuse to not be 100% helpfull. I think this place is better for contractors and not so much the general public.

"Please", "thank you", a smile and eye contact go a long way. A customer should never be treated like a nuisance in a customer service industry. I like shopping at Ace, but if I ever have such rude service again I will be hard pressed to go back. Additionally, I looked up the store and called this morning to ask about certain items being in stock. The lady I spoke with, I did not get her name, was rude when I mentioned that maps lists the store as "permanently closed". If this was my store I would want to know so I could fix the problem. She snapped at me, "there is nothing they can do" and promptly ended the call. No one at the store has ever been so rude before, I'm not sure what's going on now. Hopefully they turn this around.

There is a huge parking lot and if you buy something but they can load it into your car or even deliver it for free!
