Although this location is not the closest to where I live I take the trip here because of the selection and service. Parking is also usually pretty good as well. I had purchased something from another location and it was broken. This location gladly helped me to exchange it for one that wasn't damaged, and allowed me to open the package to check it out before leaving. Service was quick and the woman who helped me was friendly. This location always has what I need even when the surrounding stores don't. I don't come frequently, but when I do I am always pleased with the store and the employees. read more

we purchased a dishwasher microwave, stove and refrigerator. paid 179 to install microwave and 179 to install dishwasher. the team of delivery/ installers came without tools and had no idea how to put microwave on wall. my husband had to instruct them and give them the tools to do the job. dishwasher installed and 1 month later the screws came out from under the counter causing dishwasher to tilt out when u opened the door. I reported both issues to the customer service department and stated that they would not reimburse us the installation fees because my husband signed the receipt. I will never go into Home Depot again.. I have been a long time customer there but they do not stand behind customer satisfaction guarantee. The staff in this store was very helpful, and when we couldn't find someone in the lumber department, someone from pro services was more than willing to step up and help us cut the wood we needed. This is in reference to Home Depot's Carpet Installation subsidiary called U.S. I.G. "only." First, the person who ordered my carpeting for my downstairs and upstairs steps measured wrong. There were delays in installation. But, probably the worse part about USIG is their General Manager, Ashley Conway. She was the worst when dealing with the various carpet installation issues. She was rude, abrupt and did not treat the customer respectfully. On top of that, the first installer who came was a nightmare and dashed off the job! The second installer was, thank goodness, good. Whereas the managers at Home Depot worked with a bad situation (kudos to them and I thank them), their carpet subsidiary, USIG, are subpar. Buyers beware. read more

Went to this Home depot as i was at my sons house helping out and he had to go and get some supplies we needed. One Home Depot is more or less the same as the next. The store was pretty empty which was very nice for us. We found almost everything we needed right away. The Store is clean, well organized and the staff is beyond helpful. By chance I wound up with an employee named Desiree. This is the 2nd time she helped me with a problem. First she was on check out register then the customer service area. The two places I wound up with a gift card and online purchase problem. Absolutely terrible experience at The Home Depot in Bellport. My wife went to purchase a 1.5" ten-foot section of PVC pipe, which she needed cut into thirds so she could fit it into her SUV. John, The Home Depot employee in the plumbing department, refused to cut the pipe for her. He said they only cut wood, and galvanized steel pipe. Keep in mind, my wife had our eight-month-old daughter with her. Any decent MAN; policy or not, would have spent the two seconds it takes, and cut the PVC for her. John even had all those fancy flair badges. I wonder if he's required to wear at least fifteen pieces of flair? :0) I called the store manager Amanda, which was another unpleasant experience. Very rude, and terse. But, she did have Johnny Flair go back to find my wife and cut the PVC for her. John took the pipe from my wife, cut it, went back to her and literally tossed the three sections in her cart and ran off. I called the store manager Amanda again, and let her know about John's crappy attitude, and she didn't seem to care at all. I didn't jump down her throat, I was not rude when speaking with her, I simply explained what happened. I really should start shopping at local hardware stores, because The Home Depot is not what it used to be. I'd rather spend a few dollars more, and receive decent customer service. read more

Unlike other Home Depot's, the Bellport location actually have associates on the floor who are willing to help. It is rare that I'm in an aisle without an associate asking if they can be of assistance and everyone is well versed in their department and friendly. A bit out of the way for me but well worth the trip. read more

Like other home depots sometimes it can be difficult to find things on your own, but there is always an employee around to help. This HD never seems to be packed like others Ive been too. what can i say when i order a dryer in early january, it gets delivered the end of february and the driver says to my 88 yr old mom- the dryer does not have a side vent, it is the wrong one. my mom panics and refuses the dryer and calls me after they leave to tell me what happened. i told her it is the correct dryer and i had to reorder it. it gets delivered a week later. we had an installer come in to connect it, it does not turn on- seriously! mom calls home depot and they tell her it is past the 48hrs for store returns and you must call ge. mom calls ge and they send a guy out a week later. the ge rep takes the dryer apart to find out the motor is no good- seriously! the rep tells moms may 17th the motor will be in and he can fix it then. seriously! that would 5 plus months of waiting to use a brand new dryer- seriously so seriously i call home depot and i am on the phone for 1hr and 18 mintutes. the hd rep was on the phone with ge trying to get us our money back. 24hrs later still no word from home depot or ge- i call again only to be transferred to the bellort store, the person there tells me i can drop the dryer off myself and get my money back- seriously! or i can call back in the morning and talk to someone who handles appliances. i call back and the appliance person and manager try working the issue after she says " what am i a leprechaun? " after all the bullshit, crappy leprechaun and a 14hr window to pick the dryer up- its gone. i have spent over $10000 in less than 2years in home depot to do work on my house. i would never recommend anyone buying an appliance from home depot. you have a 48hr window to get an installer there to install something that might not work. never again. read more

I'm pretty used to being talked down to in stores like these but today was extra ridiculous. REALLY hoping that the person working there just honestly didn't know where the Klein tools were and didn't send me the opposite way on purpose. Told me twice to "look harder" as if I didn't even try to find the tools in the tool aisle. Sure enough, they were NOT where he sent me just like I said they weren't. I asked another person and she sent me in the right direction, oddly enough not far away from where I asked the man for help. Not a very pleasant experience. ON YOUR OWN WHEN YOU SELF INSTALL Home owner who used HD to install a kitchen and all went well so I am shocked at the cold shoulder treatment when I used my excellent handyman to install some Andersen Windows. Bellport and their third party delivery team are persona no gratis when I discovered damage to my home where I asked the delivery team not to leave the windows. Home Depot sent me to their 3rd party claim area and they told me they don't get involved and I have to deal with JR trucking in NJ. NO deal, that's the deal. If you do NOT plan to hire home depot to do the entire project be ready to fend for yourself. read more

As a single woman, I sometimes can be overwhelmed in Home Depot trying to find the specific things I need. I was so impressed with this store. At least four different people offered me help, and then helped me find what I needed. Each interaction was pleasant and for the first time, I left the store with everything I needed. if I cannot find it anywhere else, I find it at Bellport Home Depot. I was looking for a Cornus Alba (red bark) bush. I looked everywhere online included. I had a feeling God was telling me go to Bellport Home Depot... ha! I went and guess what? I found the beautiful red bark Cornus Alba bush. I couldn't believe it. OMG. I was so pleased. I also saw they had the Cornus Alba yellow bark aswell. I had just moved and had the red bark Cornus Albas behind. I love these beautiful fast growing bush beauties. I love their fast growing Spring to fall blooming round white pumpy ball of flowers all around but in the Winter... that is the biggest reward... the bark gets bright beautiful red... when it snows it looks amazing. You can find them again in late August every Summer's end. They sell out fast because these are rare find. read more

Went there looking for a washing machine, no sales person around for about 20 minutes. Decided to leave and go to Lowes. Before we left we decided to ask about the return policy. A very nice guy named Kyle was covering the service desk from gardening. He was super accommodating and called the manager about our question. The manager did not know the return policy. He decided to call George McDonald (not sure of spelling). He called asking him about return policy on speaker phone. George was abrupt with Kyle and after asking about the return policy said "you have got to be fucking kidding me!" George then showed up at the desk and extremely nasty asked what we wanted. I said i didnt want anything but for him to leave. He told me im not his boss and he does not listen to me! He wouldnt leave and was so unprofessional. My mother asked if he was drunk or on drugs bc no one would treat someone like this at a professional place. He said we should be tested for it. The manager came down and instead of taking care of the situation with George he seemed to just want to call another store to find out the return policy. Insane! The only reason i am giving 2 stars is bc kyle and the other workers were so nice and apologetic. I have NEVER been treated like this in any store and left shaking with anger. All we asked was "what is your return policy on washing machines?" Should have just left and gone to Lowes. Never will return there. Oh and a man walked by during the situation and yelled "if a man talked to my wife that way, i would be in jail!" Goes to show George was NOT talking to us as a possible customer let alone a human being. read more

Difficult to give a star rating for an opinion that does not discredit the entire store. There are, sometimes, very experienced, knowledgeable employees willing to assist, then there are those who see a customer approaching and disappear. That has happened to me many times. This review is for a particular kitchen sink HD sells at a reasonable price which is convenient for those who rent and don't want to invest a great deal of money for something that doesn't belong to them. I purchased what's called Thermocast acrylic sink because the description stated "it does not stain" however, it can scratch easily. I have this sink for 1 yr, have been very careful, have an elevated sink mat, don't clean with harsh chemicals. Within one month of having the sink, horrible stains started appearing especially around the drain. I tried to obtain assistance with the company but to no avail, nor did a HD CS return my calls. The sink was not expensive, nonetheless, money was spent. In my opinion, and I'm sure homeowners abide by this, don't be fooled and take for granted what every salesperson states. It was my misfortune to purchase an item believing facts. I have tried vinegar, baking soda, lemon, WD40, even peroxide, nothing will remove the stains. Should I move, my landlord will charge me to replace a sink never believing I did not cause this mess. read more
