I can't speak for every department at Home Depot in Canton, but I will say that Mike at the Pro Desk is awesome. I only had a small order but he went above and beyond to help me. Checked Thursday morning and website stated there were 4 in stock at this location (not the closest franchise to me, so it was a drive to get to). On Friday evening I arrived and they stated it was still on the truck and wouldn't be unloaded until Saturday at the earliest. The employee tried to be helpful but the people on the docks didn't want to bother looking for it. Recently swing by this Home Depot which is located on Holly Springs Parkway while I was doing a little work in the area. For the most part, this is your basic Home Depot from the outside in with nothing less or nothing more than others you have been to. I will say the difference here was the service! When I walked in, I was on a mission for a particular item and the first associate I asked took time to direct me to the aisle and gave me details on the section on said aisle I would find it on. It took me no time to find what I needed and head to the register. Once I was at the registers I was greeted by an associate manning the self check lanes. She waved me over and then actually rang up my stuff and assisted with payment, etc... Overall, this trip to Home Depot, while short, was really great! I was in and out within 5 minutes and that was due to the fantastic service I received from entry to exit! read more

I went to buy a sawzall, but noticed that they had a multi-tool package with a sawzall for $199. Unfortunately, when I got to the register, it rang up as $299. Even though the $199 price was displayed in multiple locations throughout the store (end cap, front aisle, and in the tool dept.), the manager (JP) refused to honor the price at the displays, and he was condescending. I spend more money at home depot in a year than I make in two years. This store and the sixes road store really screwed me today. Online claimed each had a basic material in stock, 150+ each "IN STOCK" When I went to both stores I gathered a total of 3 piece. I had 6 guys on site waiting on the materials. Standing around with nothing to do until 12pm. Cost me roughly $700 to pay these guys. All because someone isn't doing their job taking invatory and updating their systems. I watched the employee update his computer to show Not in stock. Simple! Bet homedepot doesn't make it right and I bet if they don't Lowes will get my business. Was at location to purchase a new laser level. All were security lock so I had to request assistance. Couldn't find anyone so I went searching. Found an employee and requested assistance getting the $200 product. After waiting for 10 mins I went back to the location to see if the employee was still there. Nope, he was two isles over helping another employee. I put what I had back and left. Maybe Home Depot needs to spend the same amount on customer service as they do security on individual items. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES AT HD. Bought a GE washer and dryer set 1/2024, Mother board failed, and have spent the past three weeks trying to get it serviced UNDER WARRANTY. Have sent techs three times, still not working. Obvious lemon, my mother bought the same units one month prior and is having the same issue. Have spent HOURS on the phone between GE, HD, and their third party repair vendor. Finally spoke with the regional manager from HD today who said there were NO NOTES in their system from the MULTIPLE managers I have spoken with trying to get this resolved, and that there is nothing they can do since I didn't purchase THEIR extended warranty. One manager actually said to me "I'm surprised you're calling about a GE, we usually get these calls for other brands like Samsung... I'm sorry, so you are knowingly selling defective units and not standing behind the products you offer in store? I'm a commercial account holder that spends upwards of $60k annually at HD. Can't imagine Lowe's is much better, but probably time to make the switch on principal. read more

Going to start by saying I spent an ENTIRE DAY going to 6 different Home Depot's looking for a specific part. Not only was this location the only one to have it, but they went above and beyond for me. They put it on hold for me from over the phone as I did not want to drive there from Buckhead in rush hour traffic. When I did get there it was close to close and the guy who helped me wasn't even on the clock anymore. How kind is that?! Then when the price online was not the same as the in store price they figured out how to give me the discount (there was a price matching issue or something like that). When I left it was well after closing and every person I spoke with was so nice. I have my complements to the manager in person but I believe in doing everything I can when I get outstanding service! Employees Lexi and Shane in tool rental were extremely rude. I've never been treated this disrespectful in my whole life. I will definitely be contacting the district manager. No greeting, no one asking if you need help; in fact I had to interrupt two employees chewing the fat for help only to be told that this wasn't there area and to go to customer service and have someone called. Really??! After waiting 15 minutes, I was then told that the item has not been taken off the truck yet and to come back on Monday (I was there on Saturday). This is not an isolated incident. The employees at the Sixes Road location act like they are doing you a favor to help you. Perhaps it is their lack of knowledge is the reason no one asks if you need help, as they know they really are not capable of helping. I will drive the extra few miles and go to the Woodstock store. read more

Home Depot is always better than other chain hardware stores. Their customer service is some of the best, they are always asking if you need help and actually helping you find what you need; unlike others where you have to ask for help and the employees act like you are actually interrupting them when they are just standing around. HD has a huge selection of tools, hardware, gardening supplies, plumbing supplies, etc. And if you get the wrong thing, don't worry they don't hassle you if you bring it back. read more

I bought a fixer upper last year and have been here 2-6 times a week. The parking lot is easy to maneuver through and don't share with other businesses. There's plenty of contractor parking spots but usefully full in the mornings. I only wish that they had a rental department. The staff here are extremely friendly. Most of them fairly knowledgable in their departments. Their clearance items are great deals and they are well stocked. Here's a bonus. I recently adopted two dogs and they are allowed to roam freely. On a leash, of course. They even have doggie treats at the main entrance. read more

I knew I'd need some help because I felt the item I was looking for would take forever to find on my own. I was looking for a rubber grippy thing to put on the end of my father's walking stick so it wouldn't slide out from under him on wooden floors. Best home depot experience ever! I came in to get two cases of tile and some backsplash, I had a bathroom project where I purchased them from a Marietta store and needed more, however the other stores were out of order. My 5 star experience is because of Mike over in flooring. I asked him for help to locate the exact tile. He noticed a price difference from what I paid for them originally vs the clearence price at their store (a $9/case discount!!). I already bought 7 cases from the other store so I was a bit disheartened that I could've gotten it cheaper. I sucked it up and went to checkout, then Mike came over to discuss the price difference with the customer service. They offered to credit me the difference. It blows me away he went out of his way to assist me in something that had zero bearing on him or his store. On top of that he helped me load the cases into my truck (I have a splinted finger that made it hard to lift). The store itself was clean and I got exactly what I needed. Talk about genuine, old fashion customer service where the customer feels special, that day was my experience. I hope Mike becomes a District or Regional Manager. I've been in retail for almost 7+ years and it's guys like him that make me want to honor them with a sweet review. Very nice!! read more

Today I went to your store at: 4520 Holly Springs Pkwy, Canton, GA 30115, to buy potting soil and 2 pots. I selected 2 of the 3 pots available on the rack at $3.98 and took them and the potting soil to the register where the employee tried to charge me $5.98 for each pot. I told them it was incorrect pricing and not to bother and just bought the potting soil and took it out to the car. I then went back in to the store and on the display there was the 3rd pot on the display clearly in the $3.98 rack. I complained to a passing employee and he said it was in the wrong area of the display and it should be $5.98. I went out to my car, got the potting soil and took it inside to return. Your company is a waste of my time and you will not sell me any more items, from now on it will be Lowe's or Wal Mart for anything I need. I am finished with Home Depot. Five stars just for the sheer fact that all the aisles are labeled and they always have an employee willing and waiting to help. It's always with a smile too. I've been to this location about six times here recently and they have yet to fail me. They give me recommendations and when or if it didn't work for me, they return it with no problem. We ordered an LG washer and dryer that was on back order for a few weeks. The appliances arrived damaged after the initial delivery date had already changed. Obviously we were frustrated with piles of clothes to do but the management team specially Rodney did an amazing job at getting us a washer and dryer until we receive the purchased ones. They were cordial and quick replying to our needs. We're new to the area and will continue shopping at this Home Depot location. read more

Wow. Just the worst service I have received anywhere. Now mind you, I love Home Depot but my experience today at my home store in holly springs / Canton was just crappy. And you know, it's been going that way for a min. Home Depot is a bit of a technical store in some parts and Home Depot has a responsibility to ensure that they have enough staff on hand to service and answer questions for us that have no idea about certain subjects. I asked for help and waited. I asked for help again and again I waited and waited. Finally When no help was coming, just bought what I thought was right and figure I'll just return the product if it was wrong. The worst is when you get to the self serve register, cause the human factor is obviously lost on Home Depot, no one even talks to you. When I said something about it to the customer service lady, that looked like she was sleeping, she basically brushed me off. Just wow Home Depot. Might have to try Lowe's for a while and see if im treated better there. Will really try not to come back if I can help it. And I never thought I'd say that about Home Depot. read more

My daughter and I were here on Thursday. We've started fixing things up around my house. We have several "projects" going on. I bought my house 12 years ago and things are needing some attention! Glad this Home Depot is so close. We purchased some parts for inside a toilet, they have a cool new single piece (one piece) which will replace the old chain and Insides (sorry I'm not a plumber, this must sound crazy). My boyfriend put one in the bathroom I have in the basement and it's been great so I got another one for the half bath we have in the hallway. We are painting one of the extra bedrooms we have which at one time was a playroom. So we got two samples to paint spots to see which we like better. Then we purchased mulch, soil and flowers for my yard. That afternoon we send hours in the yard. We will need another trip for MORE mulch. This Home Depot had everything we needed, it's hard going in because I see so many other things I'd like to try. I'm glad they keep this store so organized. I've also always been able to find help when needed. Now I just need to win the lottery. read more

Absolutely a nightmare getting LG appliances. I bought 5 in November, all LG - and delivery problems, supply problems. My salesman was very knowledge and I have no complaints at all with him. I think the store people at this location have tried to help - but between the lack of supply for this product and the outside delivery/install company they use, I have to say 1 star. read more
