Staff at this location are incredibly helpful and kind and willing to interact with customers; This is an unusual occurrence when you come to a Home Depot; - They have an incredibly large selection of items; Quality of items is reliable and if it doesn't work out for you - you can easily return things. If you think you are going to come her to purchase just one thing, you are wrong - you are always going to leave with a filled up shopping cart. Prices are decent - but, then again - everything in the US is inflated thanks to "Papa B" - Oh well! Wide selection of items to chose from, essentially a one stop shop. read more

I stopped by Home Depot on 3/25/25 at 1:39 PM to grab a few snacks and checked out using my credit card. The person standing near the checkout, simply observing, was incredibly kind. They told me to have a great day--and honestly, small gestures like that really stick with customers like me. I have never been so upset with a business. We ordered over $2500 worth of wood flooring at the end of March to be delivered at the beginning of April. It was delayed over and over with no update. We called and no one could tell us anything, always with the promise of an update call which would never happen. I had to go in person multiple times to get anyone to assist me. Finally, we were told that they had an update on the order and that it would be delivered to us with a discount for our experience on May 1st. Guess what was not delivered and has a delayed status YET AGAIN. I called for an update on what was going on and was given the run around over and over for over 30 minutes to where I finally just hung up. I would absolutely not recommend Home Depot for any flooring needs. We are pregnant and trying to move into a new house with a rapidly approaching deadline. At this point, we're probably going to have to move in with no floors at all and figure it out. This is the worst experience in customer service I have EVER had. read more

After calling several places to find a box to return my 75 inch tv Felecia picked up went the extra mile to find a box that would fit my tv! She even held the box by customer service until I got there as it was the last one in stock. Once I got to my car I noticed that the box wouldn't fit in my Camaro. I was about to cry and give as it's been a rough day until I was introduced to ray. Ray went above and beyond to help me strap my box to the car so I can return my tv! Terrible service. There is never anyone walking around the store actually working. It's definitely not like Lowe's who has representatives actively walking around asking customers if they need help. Instead you have to walk around the store to find representatives that are actually playing with each other in the front. I see why I like Lowe's better. A quick pop in to the Home Depot for a can of WD-40 and some picture hanging hardware, I ended up also picking up an adjustable wrench and a small hammer. Oh, Home Depot, what do you have in the air that makes me want to buy so much of your stuff? I also took a nice wander down the air filter aisle (I need to get one of those, but I need to know the dang size first) and the storage aisle (large Rubbermaid containers!). Drooling, I managed to pay for my stuff at the self-service checkout before I ended up bankrupt. Good parking here and the store is like all HD's with wide aisles, good lighting, and helpful associates in their orange aprons who will cheerfully answer questions and they don't just point you towards what you're looking to find - they bring you to that aisle and make sure you're good. Wow. Their stock and customer service both have gone way downhill. I, too, as the previous reviewer, went to look for a variety of stain options, only to realize they had only 1 color and the rest transparent in the quart size, and only had 1 brand, but no Min Wax! Crazy. When I asked the lady at the paint department if they had other options or suggestions, she plainly just said "no." Off to Lowe's I went to spend my money. This is a shame because I've had gift cards from family for a couple of years now, but every time I go to look for something, I find little or no options, and I'm not usually looking for much. read more

Seeing that I'm the Duchess of Home Depot, I really should get one of their orange aprons to prance around in while looking for my next home improvement supplies. I've got to say, I'm really impressed with Home Depot. Many years back I remember poor customer service from other locations and I stopped shopping with Home Depot. However, in the past year or two I gave them another try and I have been completely impressed with the turn around. I am greeted by almost every employee and most of them ask if I'm looking for something. They even escort me to whatever I need. There are two customer service situations that I love Home Depot for: 1) I compost. So I need sawdust to off-set the composting process. Home Depot employees will allow me to take their sawdust for free. 2) I needed new shelves. One of their employees, Gary, helped me figure out the best cost-effective way to complete my project. He cut the dimensions I needed perfectly and I was out the door in no time. I didn't have to do any math to get this done. *Bonus* I will be the first one to say, "I'm not handy!" But from the help I get at Home Depot, even I leave once in a while believing I can fix something. Thanks, Home Depot, keep up the great customer service! read more

What can I say. It's a Home Depot. It's convenient to home for when you run out of paint while painting (yes that has happened to me) and it's pretty clean inside. What I don't like is the customer service. Most don't know what we are talking about or some try to sell us something that is totally irrelevant to what we need. At least that's what I've experienced at this particular location. So I have to come in with an exact picture of the item that I need or I'll be taken on a journey to "I don't need that" land. read more

Recently, it seems like every time I go to a Home Depot the item I am looking for is in a roped off area where the employees are either loading up heavy pallets or pulling something off the shelf for someone else. That little stumbling block aside, HD is fairly consistent... no surprises and I am usually in and out with my home needs (unless I have to wait for the closed area to be reopened). Had great service here several times, friendly staff, organized and great place to get in and out. However, I am highly disappointed tonight...I am fixing a emergency water line break and got to Home Depot at 9:49...always a place to staff open till 10pm on the dot. Lady came to Door and said closed 10full mins before close. I said there is 10 mins and need one part please, give me 2 mins and she closed the door stating no. That is unacceptable, doors locked with 10 or more mins left and I will not come back to this location. Used HD For years, and never experienced that type of attitude. read more

Being from out of state, I have to say I think the south is filled with friendlier people. At this Home Depot, my assumption proved correct. We stopped in to buy a few electrical items. Immediately, we were asked if we needed assistance. No chasing down a sales associate for help with is often the case where we live. Awful and disrespectful staff and store manager. We tried to buy a Christmas tree from this store and we found the one we wanted on display, since they were out of stock on the Christmas tree size we need it. They told us we could have it, but when went outside to ask a staff member to help us put it in our car, in front of our kids and in a very rude way, the store manager said we couldn't have the tree on display! We left in a horrible mood and empty handed! We are not going back to this store, they really need to review their customer service practices and managers training and remember that customers come first!!! Selling and moving inventory is how a business makes money and not just displaying things. Home Depot needs to remember that! read more

Absolute trash store. Ask like 10 employees where something is, get 10 different answers, with none Of them being correct. One check out open in the entire garden center, backed up, and the cashier is just wandering around like people don't have places to be. Left my cart full of stuff sitting in the middle of the store and left. Unless you're ready for a clown show unlike anything you've ever seen I'd suggest staying far, far away from this store. Hiring employees who can't preform basic functions is unacceptable. read more

This is one of the better Home Depot's in Charlotte, at least from my experience. The staff is always around (usually the downfall of these big box DIY chains), friendly, and knowledgable. The store is laid out logically and usually has what I'm looking for. Best of all, it's convieniently located on South Blvd between Tyvola and Woodlawn, so it's right on my way home from work. Overall a good store for your home hardware needs! read more

If you don't have money (cash) to give them then they accost you to the point of an altercation. Hope Home Depot management and Charlotte Meck government can do something about it. This is the closest home improvement store to where I live. So I frequent this place often. The store almost always has what I need. I use their app so I know what's in stock and where to find it when I go. I have also used the order and pick up feature a couple of times. Three stars because the service and availability of staff is really hit and miss. Sometimes you can't get away from them and other times, you can't find anyone to help you with questions. I bought a washer dryer combination from this store via the mobile app, when I was in the process of moving into a new home. The installation team took two days to get them stacked and installed (this should not have been the case) After I was able to get settled in,and start doing laundry in my new home,I noticed the damage the installation team caused to my home and to my appliences. I wanted the units swapped out for a new pair, part of why I got these units was because they looked nice! Samsung refused to replace them, they said I should accept a damage payout, or someone can stop by to try and buff out the DAMAGES. After this, I wanted a full refund. After a week of calling multiple numbers I was given, and being transferred,and placed on hold, I was told I only had 48 hours after purchase to return them. I was never told this. I asked the agent how I was supposed to know that, she said it's listed on the site, I reminded the agent that I bought the pair via the app. The rep could not have cared less. Next I take my situation to the store manner, as recommended by the customer service representative. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! read more

Sharon was great & was really helpful in the appliance dept. I wish I had known to check what type of outlet I had though as this turned out to be an issue. Luckily, I'm becoming handy & was able to change the power cord out instead of having an electrician change the outlet. Standing in a different Home Depot but the same lack of customer service outcome. The return line is going out the door and the young lady wants to know if we're all returning. Now there appears to be a new rule that there MUST be a receipt to return plants although Home Depot tag is on the plant. What? I've returned in Pineville with no problems and store credit given. I'm thinking it's this store. So now the line is gone but I have to wait for the manager. Terrible - I wish these people would open my account and see that I'm not a shoddy shopper. With 2 homes and restoration projects I buy a lot in these big box stores. Amazing. This nosy lady wants to comment on my dead plant that she thinks no one watered. Well I guess me telling her it has nothing to do with watering since it died within a day of being in the ground- can you say myob...my new acronym for mind your own business. After they don't take plants back without a receipts and informing that all other locations do ... my returned plant is being processed. How does that work? Oh wait a minute but I can't get too optimistic. It's discovered that the plant I bought at another Home Depot is not carried by this one so no refund and time wasted. Really!!! The person who originally said plants aren't allowed to be returned without a receipt apparently was in a hurry since her shift ended, she had another job to go to and her relief was not there. Ah, the little orange aprons. Always ask them questions! You never know what kind of tip they are going to give you (or show you even) for your home or garden project. And they're so friendly! I am repainting a new house... and while I was waiting on my colors to be mixed up, the very nice lady taught me about the different types of bases (I didn't know there were more than 1), which you use depending on the depth or darkness of your color. And she showed me some painting tips and tricks (with paint and brushes) and used some cool tools I ended up buying. AND I got my Behr paint on sale. Score! read more

Being a new home owner, I am in here all the time. I'd say it's about 70/30 on super friendly helpful employees vs those that make you feel like you've interrupted the most important part of their day. However, half the time they are out of stock or don't even carry what I need. When it came time to fix and rebuild part of my chain-link fence, they didn't even carry all the parts needed to actually complete any fence and were out of stock on some of the parts needed that they do carry. I tried to sign up for a few of their "classes" to try a learn a few new things or better technique for upcoming projects. However, two out of the three classes were literally just someone following instructions from a piece of paper as if they were doing it for the first time themselves and I even corrected one of them on a step he missed. One class in fairness was very informative and helpful. Still, with all the griping, I do love HD as a brand and store and it's so convenient that it will still be my first stop for home project materials. I will just always have to check on line to see if they have something in stock before I waste a trip. read more

You'll learn quickly this is a smaller store and doesn't offer as big of a selection as the bigger stores do, but 90% of the stuff I need is there. I do still enjoy shopping at Home Depot, but beware of their online rebate process! It designed to failed, it's cumbersome and makes a traditional rebate process ineffective. I received a small white postcard with small print that stated that my rebate was denied because "the store had not submitted" the receipt information. WTF! That's fine since I find other places to buy paint. I spent over $400 on paint and paint supplies and the billion dollar corporation still wants to scr-ew the little guy?! read more

This place has the absolute worst customer service every time I have gone in there. It's closer than Lowe's for me so I generally go here but finally switched over to Lowe's for just about everything. 90% of the employees go out of their way to make sure they don't see you so they don't have to help you. I have ordered several pallets of wood and waited over an hour every single time and when I went to ask they had completely forgotten. The next time I just ordered a bunch of wood for me to put on my truck myself so I didn't have to wait for the pallet to be loaded and they wouldn't even just find scissors or a knife to open the pallet they made me go to customer service. They never will help load anything when you need them. Always the same excuses. The paint section is generally good though. Go to Lowe's and most of the employees will go out of their way to help you load anything or find anything. read more

This HD has made me shop at HD again. As I live in Mint Hill and have easy access to the WORST HD on the planet (Albermarle Rd location), I had started a cpl yrs ago to shop at Lowes 99% of the time. As I wk in Southpark, i started stoppiing at this HD out of convenience & was stunned at how wellrun & wellstocked the store is, and how competent & FRIENDLY the folks there are; they go out of their way to help u, and you'll get asked at least 3-4 times while there if theres anything u need help with. To be honest, in the area of town its in, I didn't expect much going there, but was astounded (which begs the ?; if the HD there can find people like this to wk in the store in this area of town, why can't the other stores in the more "high class" parts of town hire better informed/helpful people? )...Just a great store, in fact when i need something, instead of driving 2 miles to the Albermarle store, I'll take my truck to wk and drive to this one @ lunch..KUDOS PEOPLE!! read more

This is a sorry store with sorry employees. 20 minutes on hold to see if you sell a product then 20 minutes in line waiting for a price check and no one ever came because they were at lunch and obviously when someone is at lunch no one fills in for them. Then on top of all the waiting I didn't get my discount I asked for so I was told I could go to customer service and they would give me my discount. What a joke!
