This has been one of the most disheartening customer service experiences I've had. I should've known during the 27 minutes I waited in the store for help, that I would be in for a ride. After raising legitimate concerns about my order and delivery, I was repeatedly assured that leadership would contact me "by the end of the day." That never happened. Not to mention, the two in-store managers who promised to return my call. The lack of follow-through, accountability, and basic communication reflects poorly at every level from the store to corporate. What made this experience especially frustrating was feeling completely ignored after being promised resolution. At no point did anyone with decision-making authority reach out, despite multiple attempts on my part. At this stage, I had to request that my third delivery attempt be halted until I can speak with a professional who can actually address the issues. Customers should not have to chase leadership or question whether anyone is truly concerned once money has already been spent. This is our go to store and we've never had a problem with the staff or finding products in stock. The only problem is the people constantly trying to steal and then I've seen the security or police just having to let them go, which is a whole other issue outside the store read more

Ordered a grill from them and specifically asked them to deliver one that is boxed and not the one on the display floor. Surprise I received the one on the display floor that is rusted and bent. I go in to request they pick this grill back up and I have to place another order for me to receive the right one before I even receive a refund. Second delivery. THE SAME EXACT GRILL was sent. Manager said I need to purchase it for a third time and schedule for a delivery, no thanks. They offered no means of helping or making the issue right. Place is a joke, go to Lowe's. read more

Chest freezers are back in stock. Wow, was it impossible to find one of these babies a year ago and now they have tons of them! The store is laid out similar to others with big signs hanging from the ceiling to let you know which aisles are which departments, including Appliances, Kitchen, Roofing, Lumber, Flooring and more. Assuming you know what you're looking for, you should mostly be able to find it yourself. Or, if you want help, there are associates about with orange aprons that mostly know what where stuff is. The store is tidy with wide, clean aisles. Plenty of room for social distancing here. I absolutely appreciate the convenience and safety of the new pickup service due to covid-19. Ive used this service multiple times and just wanted to give some constructive feedback in hopes that processes can be improved. 1. I receive an email indicating my order was ready but upon arrival my items still needed to be shopped for. 2. I was given a grill off of the floor that made me feel like it was a last minute decision. I also wasn't prepared to have the space to take home a grill already put together off of the floor. There was no acknowledgment of this. 3. The person in front of me waited for 45 minutes for her pick up order of batteries. She was waiting before all of us but serviced last. The two gentlemen that were working on the aisle I happened to go down were very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure all my questions were answered and that not did I find everything I needed but that what I purchased was the best value. Went to the store in Charlotte, at (8135 University Drive) (to the lumber dept for a few simple planks of wood shelving, to be cut into lengths. Whoever the guy was who was standing behind a little podium ..... I'll just put it this way.. I would let him go find another job somewhere, but not around people. He seemed way too important. I had to get on my cell phone to call the store for assistance while standing ten feet away from him, after waiting for him to page someone to come to the woods cutting section of the store. In the end they didn't have average kitchen shelving so we drove 17 miles further to Lowe's who had us in and out in 15 minutes with actual woods shelves. This Home Depot is understaffed. I went to Home Depot to find some stain for a touch up project I was working on. My husband typically handles these purchases for me but he was out of town for work. Since I rarely go, I really needed some help. Working in the paint center I met Suzette and she helped me through my mass confusion with patience and helpfulness. I picked out the wrong thing initially and we had to recalibrate and she got me on the right track. This would have been an annoyance to some, but not Suzette. She was as patient and kind as she was from the start. Even after I got to the check out, she came back to let me know I left the opener and mixers behind and brought them to me just in time to the check out counter. It's the little things and during this time where customer service is lacking, Suzette SHINED. Thank you Suzette for going above and beyond. It was more than appreciated. Can here for a brief shopping trip over the weekend. We were greeted as soon as we walked into the store. We asked the gentleman who greeted us to point us in the direction of the leaf blowers. He told us the isle it was on and we went to look at them. There was a good selection and they were on the shelves in descending price order. I love this place. Home depot has always been my go to place compared to any other in business. The customer service at this spot is very friendly as it is in most of the other locations too. With the home depot app now its even more easier to locate the items that you are looking for. Before the app this was a maze with so many things that you could get creative. Youtube and home depot has been my wine and dine homies so i enjoy going at this location for all my creative craft needs and gardening stuffs. The prices are reasonable compared to Lowe and any other businesses but they do have deals that you can use. But beware when you use google maps to navigate to this place, google maps will take you to the end of the location. I got honked by the people working there, explained my situation with google maps and then was able to navigate to the front entrance. Not like a maze but giving yall heads up before yall end up like me getting honked. read more

Went here to get keys copied. Got to the station and an employee saw me there and came over to help right away. For some reason I thought it was going to be this big ordeal, but the whole process took less than 5min.... I guess they make key copiers a lot better than I remember as a kid now-a-days. This location is pretty convenient and never seems all that busy so it doesn't seem as hectic as the one I normally go to (in Matthews). With the relaxed atmosphere, I find a lot of people are friendlier and more willing to help you with your home improvement needs. read more

If this had been my first to Home Depot it would have been my last ..... and it still may be. I placed an online order, got an email that said it was ready. I went to the help desk under the "Online Orders" sign. There were 2 employees behind the desk. One was trying to help a couple rent a truck and the other appeared to be involved in something when I got there. After 20 - 25 minutes I figured I had defeated the entire purpose of online ordering and went to get my items. I found my flooring adhesive ... no problem. I had some faucet washers on my order so I went to plumbing. Was told they would be where the bathroom and kitchen faucets are sold. Was told there to go to plumbing ....... A very nice lady apparently felt sorry for me and asked if she could help me. I told her what I was looking for and she looked it it and told me exactly where they were. Bingo !!! Two down and one to go. I went to the flooring area for the vinyl repair kit. I showed it to an employee, from the order on my phone, he said "I don't think we sell anything like that" . Employee never know where anything is, if you can even find one to ask. By the time they pull out their iPhones to search what you're looking for and send you to the wrong isle, you could have had it ordered on Amazon and delivered with economy shipping. After just moving to Charlotte I decided to go to HD for some needed items. One being a broom and dust pan. I thought it would be better to go to a register with a employee to scan my stuff. Little did I know the broom didn't have a price bar. She asked me to walk back and get another broom so that she could scan it. I told her "No, I don't want it then". And what made her think I wanted the dust pan with no broom??? My goodness, she could have called someone for a price check, not like they were busy! Lazy worker!!! I thought I'd check out the plants since I was already here as I'm redoing flower beds. Noticed the flowers have black leaves. After a closer look I realized the plants have bugs! I'll be back to this location as its the closest to my house, but I DO NOT like to be accused of stealing, especially repeatedly. Its home depot, you've been there. Lots of things for the home, a little cheaper than lowes but a lot less helpful employees. I just bought a new place, so I need everything. I'll cut to the chase, I bought a mailbox, 4 number stickers for the mailbox, some plumbers putty, and a $200 garbage disposal. There was only one line open for checkout and it had quite a few people waiting that looked pissed off so I went to self checkout. I scanned the mailbox first, then the 4 stickers, then the putty, then the garbage disposal. I guess anything over a certain amount has to be approved, because the screen instantly said wait on assistance. I sat there for a minute and went to go find the person who was supposed to be helping me. I found her and she literally said, "what do you want?" I said, it says I need assistance. She came over and looked at my order and went back to her screen. She ok'd the disposal but then asked, "are you sure that the mailbox is on there?" I said yes, she came over and pointed at it, and said "are you sure". I repeated myself in a little stronger voice, YES. As I continued to check out, she started to get angry about it, SIR, SIR, SIR. I just ignored her, hoping that she would actually just look at her screen and save some face. Finally she walked over to me and put her hand on my shoulder and said sir, you have to ring up that mailbox. I told her not to ever touch me again and just pointed at the screen. She didn't even say she was sorry. Completely unprofessional. I paid and walked out, Havn't decided if I will write cooperate about it yet. read more

Just left this location after waiting for 20 minutes to get someone to unlock a drill for us. We asked 3 different employees for help and they each called it over the intercom to no avail. We literally couldn't give them our money in there. There were six other people in that same section looking for help as well. There was a vendor there and the poor guy had to help people out because there were no employees to be found. They were literally avoiding eye contact with us just to not be bothered. They aren't very helpful here. You try to ask for help but you don't feel like they actually want to help you. I struggled to load a bunch of 50lbs bags of sand. Nobody in sight to help me load up a shopping cart. I was looking, I don't mind doing one or two. It is hard to heft these up and I didn't intend on doing this in the first place. I was on my way to lunch and I was wearing slacks and a dress shirt. This is partly my fault. To me Home Depot is the twin sister to Lowe's Home Improvement store. What I find here I find there (all except Paint brands). You really can come here for all your home needs. Need to change the locks on all your doors and windows...come here. Want a patio furniture set equipped with a grill and lawnmower...yep they have it. We're replacing all the bulbs in our house with LED...a little expensive (I was sticker shocked and just stood there staring until a sales associate asked me if I needed help, I must have looked confused) but after calculating all the bulbs I needed (gasp...just remembering) then how much I'll be saving in energy bills and how long they actually last; then it was a pretty good deal. I just wanted to tell all the Newbies that are getting ready to replace all the bulbs in their house and outside...be prepared to spend a little grip. You can go online and place/pay for your order and pick it up at the store (already packaged and waiting for you). I also like the classes that you can attend for free that teaches you little tricks for the diy(selfers) (HGTV has made me this way) Every time I'm in here I never have to search for help, there's plenty of associates around and most of the time their knowledge about what you're asking. Although I tend to frequent Lowe's Home Improvement more often than not, I was generally impressed with a number of things about this location. Not too long ago, I found myself wandering around this store in search of various lighting equipment with a friend. As I walked in, I immediately took notice of comparable layouts and cleanliness to that of my local Lowe's. I also noticed there was less of a crowd, keeping in mind that this was a Tuesday lunchtime excursion. Although we were only "window shopping" materials, it did not take long for someone to come over and ask us if we needed any help or questions answered. Big plus. I seem to think Lowe's tends to have people readily available, but seldom going out of their way for customer service. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at this location and recommend it if you are local. For me, it is more of a drive and as it's "sister" store is directly by me, I may just stick to that. As we didn't follow through with a check-out process, that just may be an review addendum for another day. Check back! read more

Store opens at 6am. Stood at door with several employees seeing me standing there outside the door until almost 6:20am. I use ACE hardware whenever I can because they really know their stuff and you hardly ever wait around for help. They are more expensive, but sometimes its worth it. read more

I will never return to this Home Depot again some of the worst service I have ever received. If you value your money and time do not go to this store I repeat do not go to this store. I went to this store to purchase a washer and dryer. Once I purchased it. I was told that I would have a delivery date for February 6 between the hours of 4pm and 8 pm. So on the day before it was scheduled to be delivered I get a call from a automated service saying a different time then what was told to me in the store. Instead of the original time it said 8am until 12pm. When I asked the the delivery driver that came the next morning to wait for me to get off my job to make it at the scheduled time he hung up the phone. So I called the store and told them to just refund my money and I will go elsewhere the lady on the phone told me to bring my card and receipt and they will return. Once I got off work I went to the store and was told by the young lady that I was told to bring my receipt and card back for refund she told me she couldn't help me and that I had to wait for a call to do my return. So today February 7 I returned because I never received a call. The return Clerk said she couldn't help so I asked for the manger and the Assistant manager Brandon was the worst No help and empathy Just basic the look of why don't you get out of my face and had the audacity to ask me why I'm I looking at him like that I said because I'm hopeful that you have the answers I need about my money from this experience I will never come to this store again and I came to stores like this a lot I guest it's Lowe's from here on out. read more

We bought a front load washer and dryer, in the Kannapolis store, in November, and it was not able to be delivered until 12/30. Our washer was on the verge of dying, and we only hoped it would last until 12/30. Both were delivered on the 30th, but the dryer opened the wrong way, per our order. The delivery guys could not change it. Then the washer latch wouldn't catch and the door opened the wrong way too. The old washer had to be brought back in the house, and the new one loaded back on the truck. We were told by that the replacement washer would be delivered sometime in February! The contract out the deliveries, and the new washer delivery would not fit in their schedule. This is their error, and Home Depot has had our money since November! We re-hooked up the washer, and the washer quit working in the middle of the load. Now, I have no washer for a month!! We will never by another appliance, nor recommend it, from Home Depot ever again. There was NO customer service. read more

This Home Depot is located near our office so we frequent this store quite alot. We are a landscape contractor, so we are constantly picking up lime and wheat straw. Typically its a pretty quick transaction, however this store does not have a canopy over the contractors side. The crime in this area is terrible so typically we have to leave a guy next to the truck so our equipment doesn't walk off. The prices are comparable or better than most home improvement stores. However the staff seems to always have a bad attitude. The customer service counter always has a staff of angry workers. The really tall younger manager shouldn't be allowed to speak to customers. He has the worst attitude of anyone i have met there. If i see that guy I literally make a effort to avoid him at all cost. read more
