Do not purchase a Bosch series 5000 mini split from Home Depot. The compressor failed 2 months after start up and it took 2 months to get a replacement. Beware labor is not covered, I paid Home Depot $1087.00 for the entire system and it cost $1020.00 for the labor to replace a warranty compressor. Found out Home Depot does not carry the unit anymore. Read the warranty very carefully, my bad that I missed lack of labor warranty. read more

People in our area are desperately trying to put their lives back together and are in dire need of items just to survive from one day to the next. Home Depot chose to close at 6 pm preventing needy people from obtaining good to continue with efforts to move forward. Your competition, Lowe's which is only a block away wan not only open, but had customer service associates to assist with locating items, carrying them to the front, and loading your vehicle. Needed door knobs replaced. Waiting for a month for my appointment. The installer was an hour late on the day of the appointment with no explanation as to why. He told me he didn't like being watched and to go read a book!! I had bought kwik set knobs so I wouldn't have to use multiple keys. He refused to key my new knob to match the deadbolt. I was told by Kelly, the manager at the Chattanooga store that this is the only installer they use. I was extremely disappointed at the inappropriate and paranoid comments of this installer. He didn't even tell me his name. He took pictures of the doors before and after the install. I refuse to let any stranger wander through my house unsupervised. Do better Home Depot!! read more

If you need help, you're on your own...unless you can find the cashier named Kyle. She is apparently the only one person in the store who knows where specific merchandise is located. When I came in the store looking for lightbulbs I didn't find at Lowe's, I stopped at the front desk to ask them where I could find them. I believe the employee's name was Harold. He said they were on aisle 14. I went to aisle 14 and found nails, staples, and the sort. I encountered Kyle and asked her where I could find lightbulbs. She told me they were on aisle one. Really? Aisle one? I told her that the man at the service desk told me aisle 14. On my way back to aisle one, I stopped by the service desk and informed the employee that lightbulbs were actually on aisle 1, not 14. He looked at me weird and said, "Sorry." Got ripped off on kitchen cabinets!! American Woodmark was supposed to be a good product and it is not. I was told the rep is on vacation. Ok fine does that mean business stops? Finally after a week another rep gets in touch with me. Ron's (the one not on vacation, American Woodmark rep) first words out of his mouth were "It's not my area." Ok awesome, we have an issue. My cabinet doors are pulling out. Ron finally came to see the products and immediately said "That is not a faulty product, that's your fault." Ron then went on vacation and ignored the situation. I've called and the only response I've received is "There's screws at the store." I've asked Home Depot and American Woodmark Corporate to reach out, I'm still waiting... read more

We moved to the area back in January. Since then we have been to this location many times when a elderly person has had to ask me for help because the staff would not help or could not help. Also very bad at having things blocking aisles. Now with the Covid mess they have stepped up the crazy. The large carts are at the exit side and not the entrance. I grabbed one at the entrance and lady behind the return counter rushed out and asked why I was taking it and requested I walk outside all the way to the exit side by lumber to get a one. They also have 6-8 people working the return counter which now they will not check you out there. They force you to go to the "exit" side by lumber. There will be 2 registers open with 2 maybe 3 people working. They are hoping you go to self check out. They lost the sale of Timemaster 1100 dollar purchase today. Today was the last straw I'm done giving this location my business. read more

I was on the phone with these people for almost half an hour and never spoke with anyone either in the department I was looking for or someone who knew anything about renting a pressure washer. If you're in the market to rent, try Action Rental. They aren't great about getting you information either, but they'll at least respond once in a while. Seems like I'm stopping at big box stores much more often than I used to do. Of course HD has a ton of hardware type stuff that makes life reparable. But what I want to talk about in this review is tools. (Insert Tim Allen grunt Aughh Aughh!) Before I had my own home, I didn't have much of set of tools. It was very sad. But thanks to my growing need and ability to fix stuff, the collection is growing. My neighbor let me borrow a circular saw once that was neon green. I thought it was funny. But it was also quite useful. It had a detachable battery on it that would go on other tools. I asked him about it, because I had never heard of a Ryobi brand name. He said he had a bunch of the Ryobi tools and the batteries switch out to all of them. There are drills, drivers, air compressors, circular saws, chop saws, brad nailers, nail nailers, grinders, skill saws, belt sanders, hand sanders, orbital polishers... the list goes on. Plus all of the accessories, like bits and driver kits. I was sold. I asked for a combo kit for Christmas and got the Drill/Driver and Circular Saw kit. It came with a battery and a charger. I was ready to do some sawing! Of course, I got more tools and batteries as time went on. I have to say I have not bought a Ryobi tool that has failed me. The batteries last until they don't. What I mean is, they power does not peter out. It goes full strength until it's done. It cuts out before the power wanes. I like that alot. You don't have to worry about binding when you are doing rips. Just throw another battery on and you're good to go. Now, you should know I am not a pro builder. If you want to use these tools all day long, I have no idea how they will stand up. I have used these for my house projects, but I don't build houses with them. i just fix mine. Ha! They have made my life sooo much easier. They are affordable and easy to use. The Mrs. can use these tools and I'm not terrified of her lobbing off her hand or something. I can't get enough of these tools-and I blame it all on my neighbor. I'm already putting some on my wish list for this year's birthday and Christmas. I feel no shame. read more

I've been searching for these colorful curly tomato steaks. So I called ahead because this store is far from my house and the gentleman in the garden department said "I'm looking right at them we just got a shipment in" and I said "can you put a couple up for me " and then he said "oh there's no need we have so many ". So I drove all the way out here and what do you know?! No colorful curly tomato steaks. Why on earth!? Sharon at the customer service desk is very rude. Me and my husband were trying to buy a tool chest at customer service and Hannah the associate who was ringing us up couldn't get the military discount to go through. Sharon walked over and said something about the tool chest was a special discount or something and the military discount wouldn't work. First of all the tool chest wasn't on sale and I have never had anything in the store that the military discount wouldn't work on. After I told her that she said in a very rude voice, "well you must have hit it on the right day." I am not sure what she meant by that but after that I asked for a manager, and she says again in a rude voice "she's over there" and walked away. Michelle the assistant manager came over and finally figured out how to give us the discount. I don't understand how you can work in customer service and have such a bad attitude. One thing I do know that if this is how they treat veterans this will be my last purchase at Home Depot. read more

I have had only positive experiences at HD, I am a female and don't know a lot about the repairs that I sometimes need around the house. I have always found their sales persons to be prompt to assist me and explain in manner I can understand. I do sometimes have trouble finding a sales person but I realize most stores are under staffed and they are helping another customer. I read a review that stated she never could get her Military Discount. Maybe she is not making them aware that she is eligible by showing her Military ID. Many years shopping at HD as a Veteran they have never failed to give it to me. I say continue too provide the pleasant & helpful service as always. read more
