I was having a crazy day! Two graduations running from school to school! Today was my fourth graduation this week and then I lost my house key! Had to get keys made at the last minute! Should have known better than to go to Lowe's because the CS is so bad. THAT IS MANAGEMENT's FAULT but my daughter is very sick and needed a dishwasher. I specifically said I want a dishwasher that is IN HOUSE (if you say in stock Lowe's will twist the meaning). I was told it was and all they had to do was contact the installer. Four days later I call to check status and was told it was on order. This Lowes is okay and as good as any other I've been to for appliances and such, and I would give it 4 stars no problem. However DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LOWES.COM. I ordered something so I could get it the next day, only to be told it would be at this store the next week. No one online could help, so I call the store and after 30 minutes got someone who was willing to help, but all they could do is cancel my order, which I do so I could reorder online this time to get it the next day. But it turned out it would be the next week. Then on the day it was supposed to arrive, it turned into the following week. No one online (human chat) could do anything, nor would even offer a courtesy such as giving me the extended warranty for free (doesn't cost them anything unless it breaks after a year anyway, so why no make your customers happy after some FUBAR like this?). We'll see if my order gets further delayed. This is the worst online buying experience I've had, and I buy online a lot. Lowes.com gets a negative 3 stars resulting in an overall score of 1 star. read more

The employee name Liz from the Hixson,TN Lowes is an old obnoxious Karen who works the front. I just left from purchasing some tools at the Hixson store at the self checkou. This employee then ambush me asking me to show my id for the military discount as I continue through the process and becomes very overbearing. It's gets crazier she then yell loud that I put my credit card in wrong when I clearly did using my chip. She ruined my experience and I always shop at that location. Had a stacking washer/dryer delivered and supposed to be installed end of June that was bought over a week before at Lowe's on Gunbarrel in Chattanooga, TN. Delivery personnel said they couldn't install because my husband hadn't bought an installation kit (salesman didn't say he had to do so). Husband bought installation kit and scheduled installation appointment. Then opened the dryer and found the installation kit. Installation was scheduled for July 15 (yes, had to wait that long for them to correct their mistake). Someone wrote our address incorrectly, so they aren't coming today as they went to the wrong address and when discovered it was wrong they went to their next appointment, not calling us (we were less than 10 minutes away from the incorrect address) and a representative called to tell us the installation would be rescheduled. Now they are supposed to come Friday, July 18, so we get to stay home another whole day yipee!!! to wait for them. I also would like to mention we have not been able to wash/dry our clothes since June either. Won't be buying from Lowe's in the future. read more

I've never had good customer service here. People will look you in the face and not acknowledge you; they'll walk by you several times and not acknowledge you; they'll completely ignore your presence as if you aren't there. During my most recent trip to this Lowe's, I stood at the customer service counter for 15 minutes and no one said a word to me. There were no fewer then 3-5 people behind the counter. They were dealing with an issue from another customer, one was on the computer typing away. I don't expect people to stop what they're doing and come running to me. But at the VERY LEAST, simply acknowledge me and say, "we'll be right with you, ma'am." That's literally all it takes. But to pass me a bunch of times and not even look at me or speak to me is piss poor customer service. And it happens all the time at this location. I'd rather go to Home Depot. read more

I stopped in today to get some parts for a plumbing project and was in a huge hurry. As soon as I walked to the plumbing isle there was "Elvin. He knew exactly what I needed after carefully listening to my problem and looking at the bag of mating parts I brought with me. He reached for the new parts, showed me how to use them and suggested a few new seals to replace my 20 year old ones on the sink drain I was repairing. I checked out and dashed home to get the project finished and thanks to Elvin's expert advice I had it back in operation in a few minutes. Thanks !! read more

My favorite Lowe's for everything garden center. They have a well kept assortment of both indoor and outdoor plants. We also love how many of the garden center staff are oh so knowledgeable about their section and the plants in it. We are regulars just for this area but also pick up bits and pieces from other departments. Finding help can be a bit hard at times so I try to go prepared by already having the items I need pulled up on my phone for reference. Isles can be packed due to pallets and merchandising that tends to cause access issues regarding traffic. Other than this issue, we usually have pleasant experiences at this location. Today we visited garden center (both inside & outside) and lighting. Everything was well organized and easy to find. We go out of our way to come to this location and always come back because of all the positives of the location and the people who make it all possible. read more

I went to lowes because they did our blinds over 18 years ago and they are due to be replaced. I was just looking and after working with Donna , since they were having a sale , I set up a time for someone to come measure. Rex, the gentleman they sent was so helpful. I went back afterwards to just "see" what the prices would be. I was met by Andrew Farrell in the window treatment department. I cannot say enough about how helpful Andrew has been. Scheduled a delivery of a washer and dryer. Confirmed in store the date. They sent a confirmation email of the date. Then the day before they send an email changing it. We only live here part time and we bought it because of the delivery date. Changed our departure date to make this date work. They said they canceled a whole route. Just don't count on a delivery taking place on the day they tell you. A whole operation shouldn't break down like this. The items were coming from the Oak Ridge facility. I went to this lowes on September 26th or the 27th to get some soundproofing Acoustic BA material. I went down several isles to find it. Then I came up to two people and they told me they did not have it, but they would order it for me. I followed him and had my wallet out to pay for it. He told me that he would order and ship it in and that I would pay for it when I come to pick it up. It would be a week shipping. I come back a week and couple of days later. I go up to the pick up to pay for it and pick it up. The person rings it up and I pay for it. Then they said it would be a week to get it. I asked where it was and told the story of what that one person told me. She said they do not do that, and that I had to pay for it before they ordered it; unlike what the guy that ordered it stated. I then ask for a manager. I had the receit in my hand explaining to the two that showed up. They did not somehow to understand the story I told them. They kept on referring to the receipt I had in my hand, instead of actually listening to me. They then think they fixed it, did a little joke and laughed. I put on a fake smile and did a fake laugh. Then walked out. I left because I had to get stuff to my apartment. I tried to cancel it myself when I found something simpler and cheaper. I went online and I could not cancel my order. I called the lowes, twice, and they told me they had to get a manager. They put me to the phone of the manager's office. No one picked up and their side hanged up on me, twice. I had to go to the lowes, in less than 24 hours, to cancel my purchase. The thing cost a total of $319.21. They told me I had to pay a sale of dead sos merchandise of total $63.37, in less than 24 hours of when I bought it. I should not be charged anything in less than 24 hours. That is a rip off. Too bad there are no zero stars. Looked online for some items I need, and found them at Lowes. But before I could shop, I needed to use the restroom. All three (3) toilets were overun with crap, used toilet tissue, and urine. No paper towels available, either. Ok had to leave and go to a nearby business. Upon leaving, I told an employee the restroom needs attention. H said he would get someone on it. I will go back, to not only get the items I need, but I will check the restroom and see if it got the proper attention. I know sanity conditions begin with people, whether they are customers or staff, but that had to be the filthiest restroom facilities I've seen in years. So, returning, I find a handwritten, Temp Closed sign on the door, glance in still in the same condition, 20 minutes after my first visit. Shopping for my items, I lost count of the number of employees I pass, and not one hello, welcome, may I help you. Including a romantic pair of employees, one with green hair, having an encounter together. I find my items, and get to the self checkout to realize one item is wrong, because it was in the same bin as the other. I literally had to beg a cashier for assistance. I am doing some work in my yard and in my home which started about a two years ago. I've purchased almost all of my tools from Lowe's. I keep coming back for this reason: Lowe's knows! Every time I go into Lowe's I find people who want to help me. Saturday I needed paint for a desk I'm refinishing, the man at the paint counter was super helpful. He asked what I was working on and helped me make a decision on the paint and color I would need for this project. I also picked up rock, sand and stones for my yard, Seth was in that area being very helpful, friendly as he loaded my purchases. The next day I came back and he did it all over again. He was great! I love the products I find in Lowe's. I get a good set of choices for whatever I need to find. These reasons are why I continue to go to Lowe's 98% of the time. read more

I went into the store last night looking for light bulbs. No big deal, right? Well, think again. I couldn't find what I needed so I asked one of the cashiers to page someone for help. I waited and waited and waited. No one came. I went to the service desk instead. There were only two girls behind the counter and it was swamped. When it finally became my turn, one of the cashiers, Sierra, was absolutely fantastic. She checked both store stock and the website to see if she could find what I needed. No luck. She then called someone who was "supposedly" an employee who knew more about what I was looking for. Ha! Ha! Ha! The employee who came to the service desk told me that they didn't make the type of lightbulb I was looking for. It was a flared tip lightbulb! I had just spent several minutes looking at their stock and there was all type of flared tip bulbs all over the shelves. I looked at him in shock! How can you have other types of flared tip bulbs, but they don't make them anymore? I left and went to Home Depot. read more

I moved here from the Dallas Texas area. There, Lowe's stores are plentiful. They are also full of well trained and friendly employees who won't let you wander around aimlessly looking for a product. Numerous times family members shopping independently as well as my self have tried to shop this store only to be just "gazed at" by employees who offered no questions as to what you might be looking for or if they could help you. It seems catching throughout the store. They all behave the same way. Today I needed some lumber for a project. I was passed by 5 different men who obviously worked in the department but never lended a hand. I assure you, I don't look like a contractor, just a regular homeowner. I want to love this store and Lowes but this store continually lets me down. Once again there wasn't sufficient stock on the floor even thought online showed the store had more than enough. Once I found someone to talk to he called for help in plumbing. After 30 minutes and still no help I new when they did they would have to find more help to get a forklift and would probably take another 45 minutes if I were lucky. 2 hours to purchase 2 toilets. I was in and out of Home Depot in 30 minutes. Seriously Lowes you can do much better than this, it's not like this is a one time experince. I do want to shop you guys but you need to do much better. Terrible customer service. An older lady forgot to give me my change, which didn't bother me. She said, "Here's your $2." I was busy and carried on, when I got home I realized I was owed $12. I called, had my receipt ready, and saw the people at the front desk 2 days later. This where I was told they had reviewed tape, and I had indeed been given the $10 bill, it was just "an old one." Terrible customer service. We ordered installation of a tile backsplash in our Kitchen in February 2021. After several text messages from the installers saying the product was not available we called the store. They said there was a mistake on the quantity of materials and would correct the issue. We continued to reClive the same text from the installers saying the materials are not ready, 11 in total. We have been to the store 3 times and talked to the flooring manager and called the store 3 times to try to get the quantity of materials issue resolved. we were finally able to schedule the installation for April 8 only to get a call from the installer saying the product was not ready. We are very frustrated and disappointed in the customer service we have received. read more

Purchased 15 bags of mulch and waited for someone to load this for me. I saw A much older gentleman was loading mulch into his truck without assistance. I had an appointment in 20 minutes so I started loading the mulch myself too. No one ever showed up to assist. if I wasn't a honest person I could of loaded much more expensive items and no one would of ever known. when I got it loaded another elderly gentleman was there to pick up material from the same area and again no one showed up So I called the Lowe's to ask for assistance for this man and it rang for over 10 minutes before anyone answered. I then ask for the manager and I was told he was busy. I ask for help for that gentleman and I told the person on the phone with me that I still wanted the manager. Needed some help, and a young and very sweet fella whose name is "Anthony" helped me to the extent of the motivation to send in the review. He helped me to total satisfaction, Lowe's employees are mostly always go out of their ways kind in my experience. Anthony though as young as he is knows what it means to serve. We purchased a new washer and dryer on March 7, 2018 and had to wait almost a week for delivery. My old dryer was not working but made it a week by drying on air fluff which takes a lot longer, but made it until the new washer and dryer was delivered. On April 11th (Wednesday) the dryer was not working. My husband called and they were going to send someone to look at it the following Tuesday 17th. Needless to say I was not happy. I called Lowes On Gunbarrel and demanded to speak to the store manager, Mr.Josh Saward, this is whom I dealt with so I figure he is the store manager, I told him I would bring these back that I wanted a new dryer and not someone to just fix a brand new one. He looked up our purchase and checked stock in the store and would call me back. Mr. Saward called me back in a timely manner and found a new one but was in the Hixon store and could be delivered to us on Saturday the 14th. They just delivered Saturday morning @ 10:30 :) Thank you Mr. Josh Saward (may have spelled the name wrong) for all your help and making a Lowes customer very happy. While Lowe's is my go to store for home improvement I feel I need to share an incident. I was at Lowe's on Saturday to pick up a water filter and a few other things. I entered through the garden area and saw a display with cacti and succulents with a $1.00 sign in red taped to the front. I picked up a few of the plants and one was in a nice ceramic pot (pictured). I asked the check-out clerk about the price and she said yes, "eveything on the shelve" was $1.00 so I put 3 plants in ceramic pots in my cart and went inside to continue shopping. At check-out (garden center) the guy said those plants/pots were put on the $1.00 clearance by "some little old lady" and not $1.00 When i asked him to come take a look at the display he cussed ("for ____ sake") and repeated the "some little old lady" excuse. I ended up getting only 2 plants since he was sure the other one was not clearance...despite it's appearance. Two things. Lowe's - if you are going to have clearance items please clearly mark the items with a price for the sake of the customer and cashier's. And, train your employees not to cuss and degrade the customer. Customers should come first (hopefully that is still a business practice). I will continue to shop at Lowe's...I think you are the best of the Hardware stores and that this is only an isolated incident. read more

A year ago bought a dishwasher from Lowe's. We bought the warranty. Three weeks ago our dishwasher stopped draining. We called Lowe's protection plan and they set up an appointment for A-1 appliance to come out and fix the drain. My 19 year old son was here the technician said no power. My son checked the electrical box and everything was ok. The dishwasher was unplugged because I had used the shop vac to get the dirty water out. Called Lowe's set up another appt. technician came out got the glass out of drain. In the meantime he had taken the door off the dishwasher and couldn't get it back on. He said it was warped and he would get us a new dishwasher. I didn't say anything he had obviously broken the door, which he took with him. We hadn't heard anything so we called to check on status. We were denied because he said our floor was buckled. Three weeks later I'm buying a new dishwasher. I have used Lowe's for shutters, blinds appliances for our barn but I will never use them again. read more

We buy the appliances and are told they will install the refrigerator and the stove if we buy their accessories. Then when they deliver we are told by the delivery company we can't do that because it is a glass top stove and we might break it! I bought the microwave the door was broken returned it ; the next one when we got it home it was totally bashed in the back !! They checked four more microwaves before they found one that was not broken! I have learned my lesson do not buy from Lowes on Gunbarrel Rd in Chattanooga, Tn. if i could give this store a negative star i would. i've been shopping with Lowe's for decades. i recently attempted a major remodel. i was told to work with a special project team. fine. that's where the process went awry. first appointment the staff was almost 30 minutes late. no phone call. no apology. nothing. never mind that i had to miss almost two hours of work b/c they were late. the next step was a "followup" appointment. except they never called. i waited for a month and after multiple calls to the store i finally received a call back. they asked me to come in for ANOTHER consult. ok, i'll play. they tried to make an appointment for a Wednesday. I explained that I cannot meet on Wednesdays. That day is completely unavailable. They asked about Thursday. I agreed. Before the end of the call the employee TWICE said "we'll see you Wednesday". I corrected the employee both times and said "I thought it was Thursday because I cannot meet on Wednesdays". The employee laughed and stated i was correct. I show up for my appointment and am greeted with a major attitude. No "hi" no "how are you". I'm greeted with "No. you're appointment isn't today (Thursday). it was yesterday (Wednesday)". I calmly explained that no, it was set for Thursday. two different employees bemoaned the amount of time they'd "waited" for me the day before and continued accusing ME of mixing up appointment days. The following comments were made to me: "We waited a long time for you last night" "You didn't answer your phone when we called you yesterday" "I don't know how you got the dates mixed up b/c i had the calendar open on my computer when we talked on the phone and I IMMEDIATELY set it for the correct day" Everything was an accusation. There was not one minute of "gee, maybe we messed up? maybe....just maybe....we put the appointment down on the wrong day??" They were so disgruntled and rude i finally left in tears. OH!! and the best part? they very angrily informed me that they had called me twice the prior day. I again explained that no, i did not have any missed calls and even pulled my phone out to make sure. they LAUGHED about some "weird voice answering machine" they received. They finally repeated the number they'd called and they had transposed the numbers. so no, they did NOT call my phone. not once. Ironically, they had called me two or three times previously at the correct number. after nearly thirty minutes of humiliation i received a half hearted "sorry about your mix up...come back next week and we'll talk". no. you will not see me next week. or ever again for that matter. I will pay triple the cost to be treated with respect. I would avoid this store at all costs. read more

Purchased 1500 dollars worth of Iris by Lowed hardware from Lowes Gunbarrel Rd. in chattanooga TN. The Iris program then closed down and offered credit back for the devices. I accepted the offer and went through an extensive redemption process in order to receive the funds back. Once the funds failed to arrive as promised I visited the location from which all the devices were purchased. Dusty the manager of the location offered to reach out to his leadership and requested photo documentation of the devices. All of which I supplied to him. Dusty has now replied with a change of story which is that they will not be crediting back any funds for the devices. Instead he has offfered to have me purchase more prodocts from the location(absurd). Please assist in compelling this company to make good on what they offered and assured as a resolution to a very unpleasant and wasteful experience. They have lied to me and forced me to jump through an enormous amout of hoops and calls to their support. This all took place after choosing them as my smart home service and spending untold sums at the gunbarrel location. The amount of time this has waisted far exceeds the dollar amount. So much to the point that I will sue this company and see it through all the way to the end. read more

Horrible customer service. I purchased a dishwasher and had to wait four (4) days to pick it up (not an issue there). I went to customer service, they found the order number and then called to request the dishwasher be brought to the front of the store. After 35 minutes of of watching several associates walk around and talk to each other several calls of the intercom for "code 50" I asked one of the two associates standing and talking to each other at the "pickup counter" if anyone was bringing the dishwasher. I was then told that the were looking for it but couldn't locate it. During my 35 minute wait I witnessed on associate handling all the incoming calls, returns and items for pickup while her manager was busy talking to another associate. I also watched another employee simply walk around a display for the full 30 minutes not actually doing anything but "looking busy." Finally, my wife then walked to the appliance section where a very helpful gentleman was able to locate the dishwasher in 3 minutes. (He also informed us that they had not called him to let him know that we were waiting on a appliance pickup). I will not buy from this Lowe's store again. I will buy from the Home Depot next to them or drive to the Hixson Lowe's but this store will not get anymore of my business. It's obvious that the manager of this store care's nothing for customer service and has hired like minded people, with the one exception of the older gentlemen in the appliance section. I only write this to warn other as I know that Lowe's management won't care how bad their review are online. read more
