I ordered flooring to be installed by Home Depot. They had it measured and was going to deliver the next Saturday. On Saturday they emailed that it was postponed until the next Saturday. They emailed and told me there had to be someone over 18 there when delivered and it had had to be in a warmer place before installation. Saturday came and I stayed home all day long waiting. The next morning I called and they said it was delivered. They through it in my driveway. where I could not see from my house. What if it was stolen ? Who would be to blame ? Im a 82 year old lady and Had a terrible time getting it in the house. As they was coming to Install it on Monday. What kind of a company would do something like that ? Management seems to really be slipping at this location. 1. I always seem to have a hard time finding employees to help me in various departments. Sometimes -- I swear -- it seems like they're actually dodging me from one aisle to the next as I'm obviously searching for a human to help me out. 2. They have a big problem with out-of-stocks and replenishing product! For example, I looked for a Toro Lawn Mower (Briggs & Stratton) air cleaner 5 weeks ago. Of course, the spot was empty! The employee said there were 9 in-stock. Really, where are they? Last week, I complained to the assistant manager (who was sarcastic). This week: still an empty hook. Don't you think that the Garden Department Head, after walking past an empty spot for the 300th time, would do something? I've also been buying 6 foot metal T-posts for 3 months until the bin was empty, never replenished. Where's the Building Materials Department Head? Don't they notice the empty bin after walking by a few hundred times? I complained to the manager last week about the posts too. She said they had over 200 that were missing. Some of them showed up in the bin tonight though. What the heck? 3. The frosting on the cake is sarcasm. When I talked to one of the assistant managers, she was unfriendly and sarcastic. Wow just so disappointed! Our contractor sent us with precise measurements on vinyl. The staff (3) males working in flooring!!!!!!- didnt know how to do the math! So we asked for their supervisor. He was great didnthe measurements several times and assured us he was accurate and with his assurance we ordered our flooring (they dont have much in stock......). We had to call them to see if our flooring arrived weeks later. Hmmm it was, so we went there and they said they would do the cuts as specified by our contractor. Hmmmm. The amount of flooring was short! What!?!?! After spending an hour plus with mgmt. promising his math- it was wrong! The. They accused us of having the incorrect measurements- Bs! Coon Rapids Home Depot #2803. Awful customer service, very rude managers. I asked for help multiple times in regard to a dryer issue on a dryer that was 3 weeks old and received 0 help. Carrie was very rude and condescending, and Jenna was extremely unhelpful. I guarantee (in fact I did it and received 1000% better help than here) that had I purchased from Lowe's I would have had an answer in 3 days, not 2 months. I'll start out by saying I had worked for Home Depot for around 4 years before I made the decision to quit. The Store Manager Brooks and Assistant Manager Crystal do not respect their employees, no matter how much they try to put on a fake front to customers and corporate. The way associates are being treated at this Coon Rapids store is horrible. They will constantly tear you down, not to mention talk about you if they don't like you to other associates or people in the store. I would dread walking into work everyday, because I knew as soon as I clocked in I would be degraded and talked down to. It is a toxic work environment which is why I needed to make the decision to move on. If it wasn't for the way I and my coworkers were treated daily, I would still be working for The Home Depot. The Home Depot preaches about the values they have as a company. A few of their "values" is respect for all people, taking care of our people, and doing the right thing. The Store Manager Brooks and Assistant Manager Crystal do not follow these values which has made so many people quit and be unhappy working there. She asked what I wanted her to do.I asked if she could call someone . Her tone was dismissive and condescending .She said she would see what she could do, Which turned out to be nothing. I made an order for two injection mold plastic shelving units (Model 128974) for $50 apiece to be delivered to my house due to my car not being able to fit it and happily paid the additional $10 for the order delivery to my house. Delivery was done at the final part of the window, which was fine. One set looked and set up perfectly. After opening the second, two of the support beams were obviously cracked on the sides (probably, someone left this outside too long in the winter). I called Home Depot to arrange an exchange (I need the shelf unit). Wait 20 minutes, being bounced around to different members. Then ended up talking to a Brenda in CS, who basically explained that to make the exchange, I would have to bring it in (notwithstanding the fact that I had it delivered in the first place because my vehicle is not big enough to fit it). Otherwise for pick up, it would be $80 (eighty) to do so. So, now I have a broken shelf unit that I'm probably going to have to call the garbage folks to haul out at cost and out $50 for a blatantly defective unit that I wanted a functional exchange and not a refund. I used to use Home Depot heavily where I used to live, but this is pretty poor considering that I paid for the delivery for a reason, and that the item delivered was defective without a reasonable replacement option. I would pay the $10 that I paid for the delivery for the exchange, but I certainly would not pay more than what the item was worth for it. read more

Please read this letter before you ever go with Home Depot to remodel your kitchen . We paid in full June 18th and it finally was done september 25th . To whom it may concern, I am writing this letter to specifically outline the multiple issues we've had with Home Depot and their certified contractors on what should have been a straight-forward kitchen remodel project. On June 18th, 2018, my husband and I went into Home Depot Coon Rapids and met with Debbie in the kitchen department. We placed an order and paid in full for kitchen cabinets, countertops, and their respective installations. We are a family of five and we didn't want to subject our children to the chaos of a remodel in our kitchen and dining room, so we booked four tickets for me and our three children to stay with family in Texas during the remodel. The airline tickets were $450 per ticket - booked from July 6th - 17th, 2018. We shared this timeline with Debbie as our purchase was contingent on Home Depot's ability to fully complete the project while we were out of town and we were guaranteed that this deadline would be met. We were also instructed to make sure our kitchen was fully demolished and gutted prior to that week to make the install seamless. My husband complied and fully gutted our kitchen, disconnecting water and removing, among other things, our sink and dishwasher. Cabinets: Our cabinets were schedule to arrive July 9th and the installation was schedule for July 12th. The cabinets were inexplicably delayed a week (although a reason was never communicated to us) and we lost our installation date due to the unexpected delay. On July 13th the cabinets were delivered, but upon arrival it was discovered that the main cabinet that would house our sink had severe damage - which again set our installation date back as it had to be completely re-ordered. It took over two weeks for a new cabinet to arrive. During these two plus weeks we repeatedly called the contractor, Crew 2, and left voice mails checking on the status as nobody was letting us know what was going on. They never answered, nor responded. The new cabinets finally arrived on July 30th, well outside of our pre-negotiated installation window. We spent the next three weeks calling and emailing Crew 2 to reschedule our install dozens of times, leaving voicemail after voicemail. After weeks of no response or communication on their end, we reached out to Home Depot Coon Rapids store management directly to request help and direction. I spoke to Shannon and Missy through tears of frustration and after our call they were able to get our installation scheduled with Crew 2 for the day of August 2nd, 2018. On August 2nd, Crew 2 finished the install, only to notice at the end of the install that they were two cabinets short. We had paid for them, they were on our receipt, but an order was never placed. This was a HUGE oversight on Home Depots part. Home Depot must then reorder the two missing cabinets, which arrive the second week of September 2018. Crew 2 comes back and FINALLY finishes the complete cabinet installation on September 12th. Meanwhile, while all these delays are occurring, we have not even begun to work on the countertops as we were told the countertops couldn't be installed until after the cabinets were completed. At this point we are two months delinquent on completion, this entire time having no kitchen sink, countertops, running water, or dishwasher. Countertops: During the multiple cabinet delays, Stone Systems (another Home Depot Contractor) came out and measured the countertops on August 4th. We were told it would be three to four weeks at the most before our countertops would come in. After hearing nothing we reached out to Stone Systems at the end of week four to check the status. We were informed that the material, not the finished countertops, would be arriving in two days. There was no communication on this delay at any point! We were told that this material was on backorder which caused a major delay and that they would contact us when our countertops were ready. Over the next two weeks we called Stone Systems dozens of times and left multiple voice mails with no response and no call back. Different Home Depot contractor, same story!!! When we finally connected after two weeks of attempts, they told us they would call us within the next two business days to schedule the install. We did not receive a call back, nor did they answer or respond to our calls for ANOTHER TWO WEEKS!! Finally, after many calls and voicemails we received a call back and countertop install was schedule for September 25th, 2018. Conclusion: During this entire time spanning over three months our family of five has been with no sink, no running water, no countertops, and most frustratingly no dishwasher in our kitchen. read more

So I did an online order recently for a new shower head at this location that was in my e-mail box on sale which I needed one anyway. So I clicked it, online pick up bada-bing, bada-boom get text saying it's ready ez-peezy. Great! So I plan on picking it up on my route to where I was going later on. Rolled up to the store to pick it what I already paid for online that someone grabbed for me, even better! Big sign when I walk in, saying pickup order here, perfect exactly what I was looking for. I go over there, there are 3-4 staff standing there, another doing returns. They weren't that busy, couple people in front of me but one of them was being a pain in you know what to the staff. So of course this guy is whining and complaining about his counter top, holding other people up, getting 3 people involved, manager had to come over sort it out. Fine whatever, people are a giant especially when dealing with the general public. I waited, waited some more and then some. One staff member left to go on break or something after saw I was standing there for a while. The manager was coming over to help Mr. Sandy Pants about how quickly he needs his tile which I guess takes 3 staff members and a manager to solve this dudes issue. Don't get me wrong, just watching him from being, he was being a paint to Home Depot's staff, nothing out of line just TLC. Here is where the breakdown happens, the assistant manager comes over to square this guy up and get him on his way. Meanwhile the other staff members are all standing there the entire time with the manager who at this point is passed off this guy so they can get back to work. The guy is going none stop but as a manager like come on man, stand up own the situation, tell your staff to help the next customer and deal with this guy, fix his problem and move on. Whatever I sucked it up, waited and waited for my express order that was already paid for online, already picked out, already got confirmation it's ready for pickup I was expecting in and out. Not a 20 min deal with some crabby pants on counter tops and another friendly customer who was doing a special order project. I'm just observant that way. So to wrap up, the manager handles this guy, gets down, the other associate goes to help another associate and the manager walks out from the customer service to go back to whatever he was doing. So I stopped him, I'm like hey boss I'm been standing here 20 min, no way says nothing, someone goes on break, takes 3 people to solve some knuckleheads customer problem. Can you just do me a solid, grab my small order that's sitting right there paid for, I sign, I leave, hello, goodbye that's it. Not exactly express. He said sure no problem and after that I was in and out but the fact that had to ask when he say me standing there the entire time even before he came up. It would have been faster to drive Menards, pick it out myself then I did waiting. So home depot sends me a follow up survey to my e-mail about my recent online order experience. I said what the heck, I know home depot values customer service so I decide to fill it out. Did I have any intentions of coming on Yelp to leave 1 star review cause I had to wait some extra time, of course not but it did leave for a not so great experience for express pickup. My feedback was straight forward saying it doesn't make any sense to put express pickup at the customer service desk filling out special orders and credit card apps that stuff takes forever. That's like saying 400 max items at the express lane super market. To wrap up, I expressed by opinion very honestly which part of the reason I'm on this platform and I'm just like that in general. The reason for the 5 stars, someone from Home Depot called me today regarding exactly what I filled out to a T. Not some non-sense scripted customer service center. I'm sorry but I can't remember your name who called me but she say she has been in the business 20+ years and you can absolutely tell. Does her job like a rock star. The best part, she gets the big picture. She reshaped my mindset of Home Depot. It doesn't matter how much the item was or whatever. It was a cheap shower head, but she treated it no different than if a mistake would have happened on a $10,000 job or $20,000 or whatever. The person that called understood the value of maintaining customers. I like home depot before but she said they were sorry, they aren't prefect, are making changes to improve serious A+ customer service skills as a manager. Home depot should absolutely have you training other manager customer service. That call could be thousands of dollar if not 10's over the years with home improvements, remodels, projects what have you. Not saying I won't ever go to another Low's or Menards again but I have never been so impressed on how a massive corporation handled not not even a bad review but just a feedback survey which I don't even usually do. I ordered carpet for 6 rooms and a flight of stairs back in September. My installation was scheduled for October 19th. The Crew2 team called me on Thursday the 17th to let me know that both the carpets were on back order, SERIOUSLY? I had already disassembled the bedrooms etc, so I went into the store for a resolution and the manager said I could pick a carpet that was in stock but that I would be back at the beginning of the process for installation. She said Crew2 was mistaken and one of the carpets was in Georgia but they were unwilling to ship separately she and was not willing to give me the discount that I suggested! My wife and I went there to buy a dewalt tree saw. All the saws were up above on the extra stock shelves . We ended up asking a cashier to try and get us some help. She Told us that she would get someone and to wait in the Isle and they should be there shortly .We waited around 35 minutes and no one ever showed up. I decided to give the cashier one more chance and when I let her know no one ever came over she gave me attitude like I Was bothering her . I mean what is a customer to do summon help through a crystal ball.I also noticed an associate texting on her phone within 20 feet of the Isle we had been waiting in. My wife and I left the store an hour after we got there for something that maybe should of took 15 minutes. Very frustrating Home Depot ! It's So So today I called the Fridley HD they told me that, somehow it's was shipped to the CoonRapid HD and it was ready for pick up. So I was confused why over there when I ordered to this location. So I called the CoonRapid HD. (Im not gonna call names) A Customer Service pick up I went through all the detail with him I gave him my order number and phone number guess what he was giving me attitude on the phone like he said it's not in the store it's at Fridley but I call the place and they say it was here so he was being a stubborn guy or newly hire giving my attitude like "oh I have to go find it so give me some time ok, I have to go find it and it's gonna take me 10-20min" he was also interrupting me when I was going to answer him and he kept over talking me. (So unprofessional how did he get the front desk job?) Then later he told me he will call me back so I left my phone next to me....tick....tick.... Half an hour pass I called back and ask for the same guy another guy pick up and told me that "oh he did called you but you didn't pick up" I'm like my phone was next to me all the time and he just kept on cover the other dude like oh he did called you but you didn't pick up, so they found the product and I stop by there at the CoonRapid HD a new Customer Service helped me he was way professional then the other two I had to deal with and he also understanding and apologize for the Incident that happen. 5 weeks ago today, we went in to order laminate counter tops. The person who helped us was less than efficient and we were sitting for a solid hour ordering three very basic pieces that we were going to install ourselves. We paid for the pieces, were told 2 weeks for delivery and we would get a call when they were ready. Two and a half weeks later....no phone call. I call the store, speak to the person who ordered the counter tops for us. She told me she would leave a message for Karen (someone in charge of special orders?) to call us back the next time she worked. Karen called two days after she said she would and left a message saying the color that we ordered was not one the manufacturer kept in stock and generally took 3-4 weeks to process and should be delivered the following week. One week later...no phone call. I call again and speak to Karen. She says she will call the manufacturer and call me back for an estimate of when they will be done. Never called back. A few days later...my husband and I were in the store purchasing some garden products and visited the counter top department and spoke to someone we had not met before. She said in our chart there was a note to call us (yet we never received that call) and they were supposed to be on the truck the following Monday (we were told this on a Saturday. The following Monday...I never receive a phone call about the counter tops. I call the store, Karen is not in, they say they will leave a message for her to call me. I never received a call. Wednesday this same week...the manufacturer calls me, says counter tops will be delivered Thursday evening between 6 and 8pm. We confirm this time works for us. Thursday evening, 8:15pm. Delivery company calls and says they are running late (hmm, couldn't have figured that one out on my own) and says they should be there around 9pm. 9:15pm an unmarked pickup truck pulls up to our house with our counter tops. But wait, we ordered three pieces and they only had 2. Delivery driver says he will have the piece to us by 5pm Friday. We put the counter tops in our garage temporarily to check out the color. It is horrible. We have the sample we ordered from and while the color is a match, the pattern is an odd, mosaic pattern that looks horrible. We call Home Depot and speak to someone in the counter top department who says Karen will call us first thing in the morning. Friday morning 11am - still no call from Karen. My husband calls the store and finally gets in touch with her to explain our situation. He tells her to notify the manufacturing company that we will be returning these counter tops and they do not need to deliver the third piece. Karen says she will call him back to discuss our options for ordering new counter tops. 4:30pm - no call from Karen. I call the store because I got off work and Karen has left for the day, never to have called my husband back. I talk to a manager named Kris (female) who apologizes for our problems, says she will call be back within 90 minutes after she speaks to Karen about the incident. I also told her I wasn't sure if Karen called the manufacturer to tell them not to bring us the third piece, but to make sure they don't, she says she will handle it. 6:30pm - Manufacturer calls us to say they are about 30 minutes away and will be dropping off the third piece soon. Clearly, Karen nor Kris never took the time to pick up the phone and tell them they didn't need to bring the piece to our home. (Additionally, and this is just our personal belief, the piece was never made and they made it quickly that day because they forgot or it was never ordered properly.) Either way, I told the guy that he did not need to deliver the last piece because we were not going to be keeping these counter tops. 7pm - no call from Kris. I call the store AGAIN and Kris has left for the day. I speak to Tom (or Tim, can't quite remember) and tell him the situation. He says he will call me back after he speaks to Kris. I tell him I have lost count of the number of Home Depot employees who have promised to call back but never did. He swears he will call back within 30 minutes. 7:10pm - Tom calls back and tells us Kris was trying to arrange someone to pick up our counter tops for us (even though the other person I spoke to originally said Kris was gone for the day so I'm not sure how this was possible) and that someone could come Monday to pick them up and our refund could not be processed until then. I ask if we can bring them in ourselves so that we can get our refund sooner, he said yes and that there is a note in our file to give us the refund without any issues. Saturday at the store (the day I am writing this) we go in to return the counter tops. This process took over 20 minutes and three calls to management. We will NEVER be returning and I recommend you don't go there, either. read more

I previously ordered custom windows and now need 2 more to match. I stopped in two months ago to get an estimate. They were unable to reorder from my previous order (three years ago); so they wrote up a new order (but it was wrong). I went in today (June 3rd 2016) at 4:10 and there was no one qualified to make the corrections and order the windows. I waited until 4:25 just to find someone that could try to order the windows (he was from a different department). He took another 35 minutes trying to process the order. I left without ordering the windows. I would go somewhere else if I didn't want them to match. The MOD said at 4:25, they would get the windows ordered and then left. 3 month carpet nightmare! We purchased 2000SF of carpet from home depot. Our entire homes carpet was replaced. Twice they brought defective carpet, which was not caught until the carpet part of the install was being done. It lead our young family of 5 to live out of boxes. The Store Manager agreed to upgrade the carpet on the 3rd attempt. Finally after 3 months the carpet had no defects and was installed fully. After installation the store manager called to find out if we were happy, but in reality he was calling for us to pay more money for the upgraded carpet. Two months ago we ordered and paid for carpeting for our entire house, two no shows and once bringing the wrong color carpet we finally cancelled our order. The specialty manager though receptive failed to follow through to make sure after all the mistakes that we actually got our carpeting and that it got installed as scheduled. Crew 2, the installation company is the worst of it all, blatantly lying to us on several occasions without regard to the fact our furniture was being stored so that installation could take place. I received no call, so I called the store. They told me it would be delivered between 2-3 pm, and that the driver only calls 30 minutes prior to delivery. I told them this was crap. Asked to speak to manager, was put on hold 10 minutes. Called back, put on hold another 10 minutes. Called again, finally spoke to manager, told her what happened. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I purchased almost 3000 worth of appliances from them. From the moment of the 1st delivery there were issues. Lost the stove, damage on the refrigerator. Called the store was told I would get a call back on Monday or Tuesday with information about the stove and replacement fridge. Well later the same day of 1st delivery the delivery truck called to say my stove was on the truck did I want them to come back. Well Duh... Never did get a call Mon or Tue when I called on Thursday no one had any idea what I was calling about. Again was told it would be looked into and get a call back. Still no call back, this happened a couple more times. Finally we got a call 2 weeks later that the fridge would be delivered on Friday from 11 -3. Then a couple hours later the delivery company called to say they would not be able to come out Thursday from 11-3, maybe Friday for sure not Saturday being the fridge was still not at there warehouse. WTH I was told Friday not Thursday. Well I finally got someone at Home Depot to confirm that Friday was a go and called me back to actually give me the information. Never in all of this did anyone say they were sorry or anything. Never was there an offer to make this right. I am going to pay off the card and close it.
