Contracted installers wittingly had a remedy. This created extra pad and the need to order more lament flooring. The salesperson went to bat for me for a concession for the error. However the owner certainly did not put the customer first. Coming from a family who owned businesses locally, I strive to stay local. However, customer service from our family's perspective always comes first. This is clearly not the goal for Stevenson's. I would not recommend doing business with a business that doesn't stand behind their employees or put customers first.

I'll be buying all my future needs elsewhere where they are willing and wanting to get the sale...

They give quality advice for your needs. Kitchen and bath design team is excellent. They provided lots of options to make sure you stay within your budget. I also love the rental department . You can buy nails and screws buy the pound! There's a working bottle coke machine from the 1950's. And you are surrounded by high-end tools and other hardware needs. They also carry gardening products and chemicals. The store has somehow managed to maintain the original Victorian shelving, floors, interior and exterior brick facade. We talked with one of the owners that has owned the store for about five years. She has decorated the store with antique and vintage hardware items. She told us that people bring her stuff to display in the store. In terms of products, there were a lot of Dewalt tools, Case knifes, Milwaukee tools and Porter Cable. I found a wall of canning supplies and kitchen ware that would be used on a farm. This store plays a vital roll to the nearby community. I recommend and I'll return.

I placed an online order for Flavacol to pickup at the store…read more I received a phone call letting me know they didn't actually have any in store and would order it for me. then i would receive a call when it arrived so i could come pick it up. i got another call from another employee letting me know the same thing a different day lol. very nice they were on it! and when my order was ready for pickup i was notified immediately by phone and email. when i walked in i didn't have to say much someone was already walking to grab my bag. obviously this is a hardware store but they do sell a variety of ends!

Hi folks! *wave* It's very handy to be fixing up an old house and have a hardware store so close. We've bought paint, electrical stuff, plumbing stuff, gardening stuff, and more from them. They have a little bit of everything, although if you want specific brands, or if they don't carry a random specific widget you need, you'll have to go into town. For example, if you want any lumber, they don't have it, which is pretty frustrating since going into town for lumber requires renting a truck, but if they sold it, we could just walk it home. My one kvetch is their hours. Specifically, they don't seem to keep to them. They're guaranteed to be closed on holidays and during the Apple Popcorn Festival (generally, the festival plus a few days before and after). However, sometimes they close on a random day that isn't a holiday, so we end up having to go into town anyway. They also tend to be a little more expensive than some of the big box hardware stores, but we look at that as paying for convenience.
