This Home Depot is located in Weston right by the Rick Case Honda dealership. I was in the area and decided to stop by. I specifically needed material to fix the circulation on my dryer. We had someone come out and clean the air ducts and the way that the hose was connected from the dryer to the wall was not circulating properly. I needed a semi rigid dryer duct along with a dryer vent elbow piece to help give sufficient space between the dryer and wall connection. I had to ask for help because going to Home Depot is overwhelming. Alex was by the appliance accessories area where I was trying to find these items. He was proactive and saw I was inquiring about these pieces and guided me to another area where I could find the elbow piece. There was nobody at the aisle he guided me to so I went back to find him to see if he could assist further. He went ahead and walked with me to the area I needed to go to, and unfortunately, it was closed off at the time because they were trying to get something at the very top and closed off the aisle for safety of the customers while they did that. Alex said that he would call somebody to come help me specifically since this was not his department. But he was wonderful in going above and beyond and helping me when he didn't have to. Ramiro came by and informed the people guarding the closed aisle that he needed to go in real quick to get a piece for me. He showed me the elbow piece that I needed and help to answer any questions I had regarding these items. Both gentlemen were very helpful and patient. It's nice to encounter knowledgeable staff who is willing to assist and not just brush you off. Thanks guys! I really appreciate your help as I dislike going to Home Depot. Home Depot has a key duplicate station. You have to get an associate, and this time there were many associates around! So no issues hunting one down... that's where the good news ended. She made my duplicates and I left happy... then the keys didn't work. Sad face. Get into car, drive all the way back to get them fixed. Found another associate really fast and he was happy to re do the job and used the other machine (there's 2) so off I went again with my new duplicates... and again they didn't work. My old keys all work, so it's not the lock... idk. In all fairness I think the store now has more associates to help customers so that was great. The return service was also very fluid, I just need a place to make duplicates that work. Overall this Home Depot has been fast and service has been fair, so this is why it's my Go-To store when I have any home goods needs. I still need to get keys though... read more

I recently had a frustrating experience at this Home Depot location. I found a vacuum with a yellow clearance sticker, but when it was scanned at checkout, neither the SKU nor the sticker registered in the system. According to Home Depot's own Standard Operating Procedure FE 05-10 ("Processing POS Markups and Markdowns"), it clearly states: "Items cannot be marked down to $0.00 at POS. Items can be marked down to $0.01 or greater. All items must be rung up through POS to be on the customer receipt." "In the event a customer purchases a $0.01 SKU at POS, continue to process the transaction at the $0.01 price then write down the SKU number and turn into the CXM." This means penny items found on the sales floor should be sold to the customer, then removed afterward. Instead, the store refused to sell the item entirely, claiming it was "no longer in the system." What made this even more inconsistent was that they were willing to refund and let me leave with other penny items -- yet refused to sell the vacuum, which still had a yellow clearance tag. It doesn't make sense that some penny items are honored while others are denied. To make matters worse, the manager, Hugo, never came to customer service to address the issue directly. He communicated through another associate rather than speaking with me, which came across as dismissive and unprofessional. If customers are expected to follow Home Depot's policies, then store leadership should do the same. Leaving clearance-tagged items on the floor but refusing to sell them contradicts Home Depot's own written procedures and creates an unfair experience for customers. read more

RIbs & Chicken in parking lot? This Home Depot in Weston, FL has a massive parking lot with an easy access contractor front spaces and separate entrance. As Im walking through the parking lot I could smell jerk meats emanating in the air. I start getting hungry and look to my right and see a cloud of thick smoke with a huge smoker tanks on a trailer hooked up to a truck with a man smiling. I peered into his direction said hello and this guy, Robb, told me he is a self proclaimed best ribs & chicken cook. Well, I hear that comment often when it comes to bbq. He told me I had to try his chicken & ribs and I said, Jerk Style?" He said, "Yes," as he lathered up some pieces and gave them to me as samples. Holy Smokes, It was bbq jerk ecstasy, moist fall apart tender meat. Grabbed a pic of the menu and he is at the Home Depot parking lot M-TH 11a - 3p - Robb Wood BBQ & Grill. Walked into the Home Depot smelling like bbq with sticky fingers and browsed at laminate wood flooring at $3.29 sq ft by Vesinet Oak. There hasn't been a time that I've gone to this big box hardware store that I've been disappointed. As someone who is clueless about hardware, I usually get a handyman to help me, but I didn't want to wait till he was free for something I needed right away and could "probably" do myself. I rushed over with lightbulb in hand because the light went out in my bathroom. Given that the bulb is a bit different--with two small prongs which I later learned is called a bipin or bi-pin, I knew I'd need some expert help. After strolling down the aisles, I realized they didn't have the bulb I needed! So I went on the hunt.... After much deliberation with the guys, we agreed on the best possible solution which was to get an adapter so I could just screw in a standard light bulb. The best part was that it was all very affordable and I have two choices going forward. Despite this location not having a whole lot of crew members, when you find one (or two), you can bet your bottom dollar they will jump in and make it worth your trip there! I am torn. We have been to this location several times to purchase various appliances. Finding someone to help you is VERY difficult but when you finally sue they are typically wonderful. This trip we went to purchase a microwave. There was NO ONE in the appliance area and I had to hunt down someone to locate someone. They paged someone. No one came. I was done. I went to customer service and asked for help. The person in customer service helped us order. Mission accomplished, but it shouldn't have been that difficult. The door handle and lock in my kitchen is faded and not looking its best. So I wanted something new. I went to my local Home Depot and they did not have a large selection of door locks. I ventured to Weston. I was really impressed with the service I received from Mike in the door lock department. He was thorough and very patient. I had a lot of questions and even though this Home Depot also did not have a big selection for what I wanted, Mike told me how to go about finding what I needed. I learned a lot. I went to this home depot during the pandemic and was shocked to see the carelessness of this store there was no hand sanitizer as you walk in or exit. There was no one sanitizing the carts after every use. The carts had used gloves and masks in them. I did not go in any further because if this is how it is before you enter i did not want to touch anything inside. Home depot usually has self check outs that im sure are not being sanitized. Your go to place for your home improvement needs or classes. We come here often to get stuff for home improvement. Staff have been knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The people at the paint center are especially friendly. They offer great suggestions with their knowledge base and even offer help with paint selection, because we all know how easy it is to find the right shade, sigh! With all the smart technology out there, it nice that the staff are also current and up to date on it. Seriously all the different lightbulbs and hues, who knew..ugh. The garden center is my favorite. I hate to go into a nursery and see plants that cant even be watered and they expect customers to buy them!? But at this nursery the plants are always alive and well. Getting someone who is knowledgeable on the garden center though is a hit our miss. The store is Manage very well. They are well train staff taking care of most of the customers needs. Peter Martin is a fantastic manager. I once had my bag of materials stolen out of my cart when I left it next to my car. He was nice enough to check the cameras and replace everything for free. 3/5/16- REVIEW FOR KIDS WORKSHOP Took my nieces to the Kids Workshop offered the first Saturday of every month from 9am to noon. These workshops are FREE to the kids. They are set up at the entrance and are very well organized. You walk up to the table with your child and receive a kit with your project. You pick a table to work on the project. Tables have hammers and other tools if necessary for that project. They have employees walking around to see if you or your child need any help. When you are done assembling your project, you take it to the front to get your paint. That's when the fun begins. Paint everywhere...at least is washable. Once painted and completed you go back to the front and they will hand you a pin for your apron and a Certificate of Completion with your child's name. Great activity for the kiddos! read more

I ordered a Pallet with of stack stone at Home Depot. I arrived at the store to load up my purchase. It was around 25 or so individual boxes. The Home Depot employee brought the product out on a large pallet and advised me to start loading my vehicle. After loading a few boxes I reached down to pick up the next box and cut my finger nail. There was a sha rp nail or screw protruding up from the pallet which sliced right through my finger nail. The employee was nonchalant about it and I had to complain to get a manager. They submitted an insurance claim and pretty much pushed off the liability to the pallet company and nothing was done. Very poor customer service and dangerous place to shop. read more

On Oct 8th I ordered a washer and dryer at this location which was delivered at my house on Oct 12th. Unfortunately they could not install appliances due to issues on my side which needed plumber work. So they took back the 2 appliances telling me that I had 30 days to reschedule delivery. I contracted a plumber who fixed the issue and next day Oct 13th I called to reschedule delivery , their earliest date being Oct 20th.. On Oct 20th as I had not heard from delivery team I called to ask status of delivery, and they informed me that they had on Oct 12th cancelled my order!!!! I went to the store, who confirmed they made mistake, and inform they have to refund and reorder with an availability on Oct 25th!!!!! New to Florida Hurricane Irma I freaked out trying to find a generator I went to the store the week before Irma and they were out of generators They said they'd get a new shipment that night, ready for the following morning I showed up before opening, #7 in line Store opens... NO generators Understandable- there's a hurricane coming I inquire as to a better strategy and they tell me to call instead. I am skeptical... Just went yesterday to buy some boxes for a move. Walked by the generators and noticed a Honda generator I already own was tagged for sale @ $599. Asked an employee who said they were out but sent me to customer service to order one. Now, that's a $1,000 generator. I need one for my folks so of course I was gonna buy one. At customer service the item shows up @ $1,049. I show her the photo I just shot of the spot where the thing is advertised for $599 and she calls a manager who said that was an older model that was clearance out and now they only have the newer model for $1049. This is your typical big box hardware store. Selection of products is good, prices reasonable and hit or miss service. They have what you will need for most all home repairs and remodels but getting help or expert service will depend on the day and time you visit store. Some employees are great at customer service and knowledgeable about the department they work in , some have no clue! Yesterday I visited this location looking for a moisture humidity sensor switch for the bathroom. The switch turns on the bathroom exhaust fan when the humidity or moisture level in the room reaches a set point. Looked for it in the electrical department, did not find it asked an employee who was working the aisle. "No do not carry that item" was his reply. OK so I said to my self if I were merchandising this aisle or store where else would I stock this item for max exposure. Sure enough I went to the aisle where they stock bathroom exhaust fans. They had them! I have given up on asking for help at this location unless It's one or two employees that in the past have been helpful. Most staff here are clueless on what they sell and worse are often heard giving wrong advice to unsuspecting customers. If you do not know something heck just say so but do not bull_hit the customer. Often times they treat customers in a condescending tone and act if they are doing you a favor. There are great employees Miguel and , Jerry in electrical, a Nelson in paints that is very helpful and knowledgeable, Lucas who works in lumber will go out of his way to help. Like I stated earlier service is a hit or miss. Store is stocked well. Returns are easy and they have ample parking. On weekends staff seems to be Mostly part timers who may not know much about the stuff HD sells and many are former trades people looking to supplement income, all good but they have little knowledge of stores layout or item stocked as in my example. When there are HQ people visiting the store you get the best service as they seem to want to impress the boss! When he/ she is not present it's back to business as usual. Most of this can be said of most Home Depots in South Florida. Seems So. FL has become a breeding ground for poor service and we seem to lower our expectations accordingly. Your experiences may be different and I am sure there are times service needs are met, as a whole I have learned not to expect A rated service at most businesses in So. Fl and there are exceptions. It all will depend on who is working that day, and what kind of day they are having. Update​, Home Depot needs to stop the harrassment of it's customers by the AC canvassers. A warehouse full of possible projects! I love it! I've been slowly but surely remodeling my room & Home Depot has been the driving force behind the project. This location has been nothing but helpful helping me find exactly what I need for my little project. The staff is very up-to-date with easier more convenient ways to get things done & at an affordable price. Every stop I've made has been in & out which is great for someone that has no idea where to find things. All the isles are labeled & if you're lost a staff member knows exactly where to take you. If this keeps going I might just have to look for more projects to tinker with aso I'll have an excuse to keep shopping at Home Depot. read more

I just had the worst experience at a Home Depot. I guess I was racially profiled, first by a young Hispanic male employee then by a middle aged black male who (I'm guessing) felt that I should be made an example of (I can't figure another explanation for this). My two sisters and I arrived at the line. We were the only ones there at the time. We were trying to figure out which were open since two of the self check out were closed but the lights were still on. By the time we moved to an open line, the young male said "there's a line, you have to go to the back". There were 5 people behind us by then. I said we were here first. He didn't listen and repeated himself. The middle aged guy then comes forward from I don't know where and says very forcefully...there's a line...you need to get to the back of it. He wouldn't even look me in the eye. I walked to the back of the line to de-escalate the situation. My sister stayed and spoke to the young guy. He claimed that he didn't see all three of us earlier. (????). He apologized for his behavior. I do not ever plan to visit this store again. I do not live in Florida and I'm just here working on a family project but I have been a home depot pro for several years and spend tens of thousands at Home Depot annually. It may be time to give Lowes a shot at my business because embarrassing customers is just not good customer service. read more
