The entrance to the Cielo Farms had white double barnyard doors and a high squared archway bearing the Cielo Farms name which was impressive but common in Southwest Ranches. Drove down the long black top road with beautiful white dual pagoda light fixtures mounted on cast aluminum posts on both sides. There was a kids event going on at the center of the nursery with a bunch of vehicles parked in the vacant grassy field. The plant nursery was strictly on an appointment basis only. This nursery rents out the 5 acre area for venues.

They have some unique items that no other store or garden center has in this area. I came for sod. Bruno, the new puppy that I rescued on New Year's Eve in the Everglades has been playing with my other two dogs in the yard and bringing dirt in the house. Their sod was excellent quality. I should have waited until my son was available with his truck but they were able to put the sod in the trunk of the new car. I got a cart and couldn't resist the gorgeous scent of the jasmine. Then I found some beautiful annuals. The Mexican lavender was super fresh so on the cart that went too. I even got a new pair of rose trimmers. My neighbor needed mulch so I picked up a couple bags for them and without any space left in my car, I left a happy gardener.

The driver got out, saw the damage, and told us "don't worry, we have insurance. I'll call the owner." He called, made us sign a paper "for receiving the rocks," and left. We called the next day. No answer. Day after that, nothing. My husband went to the store and they said the paper we signed waived them from ANY accident or damage to our property. They refuse to take responsibility. They even took the rock that hit the car -- looks like they tried to remove evidence. Luckily we have cameras and sent all footage to our car insurance, since their driver caused the damage while operating their truck. Unprofessional, dishonest, and shady business practices. I couldn't believe that there was literally dozens of rows to make up hundreds, even thousands of different plant species on the property. They even have a garden section around natural bodies of water with so many lovely plants there. It's difficult to decide what you even want to buy! I ended up with a plant that caught my eye and was shocked at how affordable it is! A nursery like this is something I highly recommend to visit and support as it's so upsetting to see the nearby properties being bulldozed and turned into new houses. The outdoor nursery has a huge area under a tarp for bromeliads that thrive in partial sun and another big area in the open for bromeliads that love full sun. Visitors can get design ideas from the garden area that has a bromeliad-lined koi pond, tree trunks festooned with bromeliad rings, clumping bromeliads used as ground cover, and bromeliads growing on fences, tree limbs, and in shallow rocks! The only thing more stunning than the hot pink, speckled purple, and striped leaves of the plants - or the multi-colored flowers from the bromeliad centers - is the customer service. This family-owned business is obviously a labor of love. We became fast friends with the owner and her family from the first time we visited (we've been back three times). During our visits they identified plants that would thrive in our yard. They always pack each plant for ease of travel. A few weeks ago the owner's daughter even gave me a tomato and pepper from her personal garden. And yesterday the owner gave hubby a birthday gift of a beautiful bromeliad in bloom! Zensation Gardens sells handmade concrete fountains and sculptures from Bali, an interesting selection of bonsai trees, and indoor and outdoor plants that include bamboo, palm trees, gardenias, orchids, and colorful bougainvillea. They also sell artificial grass and offer landscaping design and installations, and LED lighting for your garden. Follow them on Facebook for dates for their beginner bonsai class.
