Ordered washer and dryer from Home Depot through AAFES website. It was scheduled to be delivered today between 2:30 and 6:30. Was also told I could call day of delivery to see where I fell in the stops for the day. I called at 4 and was told three stops ahead of me so expect delivery around 4:30 to 5:30. At 6:15 still nothing so I checked status and it said rescheduled to Jan 20. That's almost a week away and they didn't even think to call and let me know or ask if that would work. I called to see what was going on and was told truck broke down so they rescheduled me. I let them know I would not be available next week and that I would think it would be scheduled first thing the next day. Nope they won't do it until the 20th. I spoke with several people and not one person could have possibly cared any less about my order. I let them know that if they couldn't get it to me the next day I would be cancelling the order and they were all too happy to cancel it I have never experienced this level of poor service. On April 6th 2024, I returned a Penske rental to this location. David, who was working in the rental section was working with another customer when I approached the counter. The customer asked about why the price was different than what he was told and David, very curtly, said, "Taxes." Okay no big deal right? The customer left and while I was standing there David turned to his co-worker and said, "I think we should be able to smack the sh*t out of customers once a week." Now I can understand that, and it's a little bit funny, but come on dog, i'm standing right here??! Save it for the break room. It's been a month since I ordered a refrigerator, when they brought it out it was badly damaged so they we're going to leave me without one for over a month... they finally brought me a loaner fridge. They kept saying it will be this date then this date. I said nope. I went to a whole different place and had a refrigerator in 3 days. Problem with Home Depot. They will not and I mean will not come pick up the loaner it has been in my living room for a month. They said this day and no one shows. Then another day. I've had my daughter sit here all day cos I can't take off work for this anymore. Yeah still not here at 5 pm. I call and Erin who promised they would show today says the driver called off. So when we're you going to tell me!? then says we'll maybe tomorrow or the weekend. Yeah I'm Calling and getting their $1500 charge off my credit card removed then I am calling Deskin law offices who have another lawsuit against them. Be wise. My husband and I were in the market for a new Lawn Mower, Grill, and Trimmer. I asked a young employee by the name of Trent if he could help us with the lawn mowers as we had questions. He stared at me for about 15 seconds and then said "I just walked in, so I'm like, what?". At that point he said he was going to get another employee to help us and we never saw another employee. Id had a house built and wanted to get blinds installed. I went to home depot and found the blinds that I wanted, they were in stock and available on the rack. The "Customer Service agent" told me I couldn't have the ones in store because it would be a custom order and it needed to come from the manufacturer because they needed to be cut to specs.... I thought that was strange, because home depot says they will cut your blinds in store if you buy from them. But I did what they say was necessary. Paid for the guy to come out and measure them (50.00) He did a good job and was in and out. 24 hrs later my measurements were at Home Depot. I go there and pick out my stuff. The Blinds in store were about $30.00 cheaper than what was coming from the manufacturer. (Same manufacturer) So I order my blinds on 10/7 and they were supposed to arrive 11/4 to my door step, they NEVER arrived. (come to think of it, I Never received a tracking #) So I called the store spoke to Sherri, the first thing out of her mouth was Ive been on Vacation for two weeks, I don't know anything about your order... HOW RUDE!!!!!!! Anyway, After making multiple trips to the store, they finally say the blind will arrive on 11/13.. Guess what? NOPE! Go back to the store, Nobody knows anything. When I get upset and start raising my voice then they start to find out things. MY BLINDS HAD NEVER SHIPPED! They then tell me they wouldnt ship until 11/30... Im not ok with that, I have 7 windows on the front of my house and you can see through my house( Yes I have up Curtains) So I finally just say cancel that order and Ill buy off the rack . I chose the same "custom blinds" I chosen before. Sheri said they would cut them to size and the installer would pick them up and install them... Well today WAS installation day. He did pick them up and he came here to install them... BUT WHERE NOT CUT PROPERLY! so now he has to go back to the store and figure out what they can do to fix this problem. PLEASE CHOOSE A DIFFERENT STORE when buying blinds. this is ridiculous and I've been going back and forth with them for over a month. the guy who came to install them was very nice, I had ZERO issues with him I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING ELSE FROM Home Depot IN MIAMISBURG OH.. I wanted to purchase a toilet and have it installed by Home Depot in Miamisburg. "Alex" wrote up the order, and in the course of discussing costs associated with the installation he asked me if I wanted it delivered, and I asked "how much is delivery?" He said $75.00. I said I MAY just pick it up at the store (and save the delivery cost). He said he had already included that cost in the order, and if I decided to pick it up (instead of pay for delivery) I could just tell the people at the service desk to adjust the cost when I paid for the toilet , installation, and haul-away...which I assumed would be the cost quoted less $75.00. When I actually went there yesterday to pick up the toilet I was told at the service desk that I COULD NOT DO THAT (purchase the toilet, pick it up myself, and then have Home Depot install it). I was told that in order to have Home Depot install my toilet I HAD TO HAVE IT DELIVERED at a cost of $75. This makes absolutely no sense. When I attempted to call Home Depot to clarify this I was put on hold...told I would be called back...and never heard from them again. I called Home Depot again this morning at 6:15 and was told to call back at 10:AM. I guess I'll end up making another trip to Home Depot to try to straighten this out...REALLY ANNOYING!!! read more

I have reviewed in the past that I prefer Lowe's over Home Depot, however, in this area Home Depot wins my vote. This Home Depot has a ton of kids activities on weekends, lawn care seminars and other fun stuff to do and learn for free. They have knowledgeable employees and have a great flower selection. I would chose this particular Home Depot over Lowe's in the small area it serves. read more

The overall store is very organized and clean. Most staff have been very professional and friendly. But let's talk about something here.... hate to be one of those complaining millennials but then again maybe boomers should figure out how to be a tad bit more professional. I ordered a fireplace media console big enough to hold up to a 68". Clearly I knew it was going to be a large piece. I was the one who placed the order so I would be the one speaking to the employee, handling online pick up orders. While waiting I put my boyfriend on the task of pulling the truck up. The employee then sends two older men back to get retrieve the order. I watch him walk up and said "Hi, I'm here to pick up the tv stand." Holding my receipt. He said in a certain tone "Mam, this is a fireplace." Yeah fireplace media stand as it says in the box, my bad for not reading it verbatim. If it wasn't for his tone of voice I would have thought nothing of it. I'm not one to be argumentative or complain. He then preceded to say "I hope you brought someone with you to load this up, no way you can handle it yourself." Followed by, "I hope you brought a real truck and not your Prius." (I certainly don't own a Prius, but thanks for the assumption.) Then as he walks the item out of the store with me. He ends off by saying "oh great, a full size truck. I was hoping it wasn't some small thing." I gave a higher rating because I don't want my bad experience to influence the store in whole but I hope an employee or management at some point reads this to know the do's and don't's when speaking to a woman. I may be blonde and have a vagina but I'm not dumb. Fireplace media console was beautiful by the way. Just wish the dang thing come together as it had a high price tag haha. We went to Home Depot to have a water heater installed. We were charges $650 for less than 2 hours worth of work. Would highly recommend all individuals go elsewhere for any service installation unless you don't mind being overcharged. I would also suggest that You not hire 5 Star plumbing or Crew2 plumbing for any plumbing work. They are complicit in overchargeping people for work. read more

Went in for patio furniture sale...saw floor display we liked with a sticker that said two left in stock. Had to walk to service desk to get help...he called someone. No one came. Asked someone who walked by, he made a call and said "he" was in the middle of something but would be there as soon as he could. Waited by the patio furniture another 10 min until "he" came...he ran a scan and said they didn't have any in stock, just the floor display which was pretty banged up. Left with nothing. Why was this guy the only guy who could scan the tag and tell me they had none in stock? I asked two people for help including a customer service rep who was just 5 feet from the patio furniture and never moved other than to call a different guy. He couldn't have checked? Rented piece of equipment. Upon return my bill was close to $50 over what I expected. When I reviewed it I found that they had placed equipment coverage on the invoice. I asked the associate about it to which he replied to would be foolish to rent with out it. Told him my point is I wasn't offered it. It was assumed I wanted it. Home Depot has bad customer service! They never have enough employees to help customers, Lowes is never like that. I prefer and will continue to go to Lowes. Every time I got to Home Depot it's like a ghost town, you are on your own and heaven forbid you need paint mixed, there was only one employee and a line of frustrated customers, meanwhile 4-5 employees stood behind the customer service deck staring and chatting amongst themselves. There was even a random employee walking around that finally came up to us and said "is anyone helping you as he looked around and then said oh, there's only one person working in paint", then walked away! Want someone that knows something then don't come here or Lowes as these hourly workers are given the bare minimum prevailing wage and are not incented to help people. Want help? Good luck because these corporations won't pay for skilled people. If you do find a helpful, competent person consider yourself lucky and then ask for a manager and demand that person get a raise. If you don't they will be gone the next time you visit because competence is not a core principle at these places. BTW, they don't care if you threaten to go to Lowes or Menards or whatever. I went online to order some fencing. The computer ordering system said they would get it for me by Wednesday. I then spoke to an online rep (as I wanted to get it for Saturday) who informed me neither the closest store nor any store in Dayton had what I needed- I would need to drive 60 miles to pick it up ( I do not have a trailer for 30 panels of privacy fencing). I called the manager of the Miamisburg Home Depot who refused to get a transfer from store to store unless I paid $40 a panel instead of $28. I asked if she could let me have one of their trucks free of rental fees to go pick it up. She said no. I asked if that was their business practice to push customers away and send them across the street to Lowe's and let them have the $1,000 I was going to spend there. She hung up on me. read more

This store has THE WORST customer service. We tried to buy a play set over the weekend and no one could figure out how to sell it. Promised it would be on hold for us first thing Monday and they in fact sold it to someone else. Same day tried to get help with a utility room sink and cabinet and was simply directed to isle 33 when what I really wanted was a custom cabinet, counter top, stainless sink, and faucet. Associate told me "I was talking big money' but whose opinion was that. Not mine. Are they not in the business of making big money? Then, to top it off, what we did buy had to go through self check out as they have no humans to check you out. Loathe this store. read more

We've used Home Depots wherever we move for the same reason as everyone else . . . they have a good variety and the cost is generally reasonable. However, the help you get can be hit or miss. So far, we've gotten help in the paint department and in flooring and both times it was as good as any you'll get in a specialty store. I rarely write reviews but this is an exception. Normally I shop Menards, but I wanted some garden items that they didn't have and I went to this Home Depot. At first it didn't seem anyone noticed me as I wondered through the back area, but then a gentleman who had Bruce on his vest approached me and helped me out. He must have been on his way off work because another employee stated something like 'you haven't left yet?' Anyways, I would never know if he was on his way out or not because he took the time to find out what I needed, and even in a moments conversation when I mentioned about needing a fan, he took me to the lighting area and help me find out what I needed. I will stop here first and then go to Menards if needed. read more
