We stopped in this location on our way home from being up north to pick up two boxes of flooring to finish a project. We were wandering around the flooring and carpet sections when a friendly employee asked if we needed help. He gave us a few tips and tricks for our flooring choice (Traffic Master Allure vinyl plank flooring) and helped us find a reasonably priced carpet with a pad for the bedrooms. Knowing we just wanted to get carpet for as cheap as possible without it feeling cheap, he recommended the nicest pad and a lower end carpet. Home Depot in Fenton is trying to rip off a customer of mine that I installed a floor for. They wrote the wrong part number on material that he thought was still in stock. Not only did they deliver the wrong material 4 times in a row, their corporate offices acknowledged the mistake, and still will not make it right. A representative of theirs was supposed to go to my customer's home to measure the flooring last Tuesday, and never showed!! I would never do business with these people. Ever. read more

Worst customer service in this Home Depot, I put an order online and to come and pick up my bamboo floor same day cause this was the only Home Depot has it in stock, online said they have 14 in stock and they only have 6 all beat up boxes damage. I check them out and come back to "customer service desk" and ask if they can replace , the guy told me go to flooring dept and check what we have, I told him I place a online order that means HD have everything for me. So far I'm on order number 4 and still don't have my complete order of tile. They tried to dump and run when I ordered home delivery but I caught the driver as he was offloading the pallet shown in the photo. After that I asked for the tile to be sent to the store. Two additional orders show up broken. Each time they tell me that it's ready for pickup. Really? Look at the photo. They even included a bag of 'broken pieces'. The salaried managers were very kind and really tried to fix our issues but the hours we spent just trying to order flooring with associates that were either not knowledgeable or working with antiquated systems, earns this store a really low rating. Good 'ol #2741 Was having some serioz issues with some home improvement that needed to be done and up popped a light bulb 'Go to The Home Depot' - am I brainwashed? I listened to this little voice in my head and the results were spot on. I would reduce a couple of stars for some of the weird looks I got from some of the weird staff that made no effort to help me but they get the 5-star treatment thanks to the ever-so-helpful gentleman that walked me through my problem, gave me some great advice and helped me find the products I needed to get the job done right and at the best price. He genuinely cared about my issue and was honestly concerned about me getting it fixed right away. He even cussed at me. Fenton Mi Home Depot is about as helpful as a mute monkey giving directions. Their is only a handful of people who actually care for their job and customers. I went in one day and was looking for track lights and info about them and the guy grabbed me one and left. I went in another time and a guy told me they don't except old lights and he said they don't except them when my husband came in the day before and took them then! If there was another store closer I'd never go into Home Depot. Can't find any one to help and if there is they are standing in groups talking. You have to interrupt their conversations. Quality of lumber is very poor. Ordered yard privacy fencing, paid cash, waited the 3 weeks and finally called to see where it was. We were told the order had been placed on hold and we were never notified. Guy at the desk was useless in trying to resolve the problem and He couldn't say why the order was ever put on hold. Trying to do safe shopping in the COVID era. When I picked up my order, I left the receipt in the back and had a mask on (an obvious indicator I want to a. not breathe on others and b. protect myself). An older man with no face mask grabbed my paperwork from back, reached into my car, driver's side, into my lap (yeah, inappropriate and invasive), and told me they didn't take tips (tossing the money, also, onto me). His face was right in my face and he had no mask. By now, we all have clear instructions about what to do in public, which is six feet of distance and a mask. This behavior, in my opinion, was deliberately invasive, hostile, and constituted, wreckless endangerment. For me, Home Depot is not a safe place to buy from (even when picking up). The store has a great selection and usually the staff are very helpful, however, the last time I was in I asked for help in the lighting department and the staff member (who was very friendly) gave me a lot of info, but couldn't answer my question and so she went to get the manager of that department, and the manager seemed irritated at having to help me and she wouldn't give me the time of day. Mike haycock is the worst store manager I've ever met. After spending over $6,000 here in pressure washers for my company, he refused to return a defected one that we had only Owned for two weeks. Have been shopping at this location since moving close by 3 years ago. As a woman, I appreciate their attentitiveness. They have cut the wood I needed numerous times. Last 3 visits their employees have been super helpful in finding what I need for my latest garden project, walking WITH me all over the store. SO appreciated! Do not waste your time with this store. My wife and I decided to redo our wood floors around Christmas last year and decided to go with Home Depot based on past bad experiences with smaller ma and pa type businesses. We found that this location is an absolute mess. They messed up our floor quote 5 times! We literally went to the store 3 times and paid $50 to have someone come out to our house and take measurements etc. another time and they still could not get it right. After over 3 months of dealings between corporate and this Fenton store we are right where we began, sitting here in kitchen wondering what we are gonna go. Even the guy (third party) who came to install the floor said he has never seen a quote this bad. He refused to lay the floor. I waited 7 hours for a phone call from the Fenton branch only to tell me it was going to be another $1,300! Another $1,300! A company this big will let you fall through the cracks-- and the worst part is they don't care! I was emotional after this entire experience. Only to have their store manager, right away, say they would have someone come out the house and pick up the boxes. Smh! Shame on Home Depot! I find that only about half of the employees there are friendly.The people at the service desk ok, but many times you are treated like you are interrupting them when you want to ask a question.I wanted to buy a cabinet in the kitchen dept. and was told that I had just "missed the sale" ,but not to worry,"they go sale, all the time".I asked ,since they go on sale," all the time",couldn't I get the sale price now? I was told "NO",I asked if I could speak to the dept. mgr.? She said she was the dept mgr.and the answear was still NO.I left and went to the Home Depot on Corunna Rd.In the kitchen dept. I was told that the sale was off,but he could take my name and number and call me when the sale was back on( now,THAT IS SERVICE)!.While talking to him, another team member came up, who had overheard our conversation and made a call.I walked out of there with 2 in stock cabinets WITH my 20% "On SALE"discount! I agree - the staff IS friendly. However, they are incredibly INATTENTIVE. I had made a special order, only to find out six days after I made the order that they required a nominal payment on the date of the order. Stupid me, I might have known, but they failed to share this. Payment made. Order due back in "a couple (more) days, but DEFINITELY before the weekend". Four (more) days pass (so now at day 10), and I check in. No status... lost on the phone as I wait for better than 5 minutes (I guess they were busy being friendly, and smiling a lot). Call back morning of next day (day 11). "Supposed to be here this weekend". Long story short. It wasn't. Came in Monday (day 13). So, I wait a total of 13 days for something that should have been "a couple days". In fairness, "Ken" was the first one who paid attention to my issue on the afternoon of day 11, and took ownership to do something about it. But it took genuine anger in my voice before this man (the 5th person I spoke with on my order) was FINALLY paying attention. Mind you, this order was small. But I had spent considerable dollars on purchases before this time..... all the while, everyone smiled like a cheshire cat as they took my money.
