Peters in Highland is my favorite hardware store! Big store that has just about everything you could ever think of and also has a great selection in hardware. Ive rented their wood chipper a couple times and the equipment worked flawlessly and looked very new. They even allowed me to reserve it a couple days out. It appears they have a great selection in rental equipment so I look forward visiting more in the future for all my heavy equipment needs around the house. read more

Shopped there today 8/6. 4 of the 5 employees not wearing masks. Spoke to the "Manager" who argued with me that I couldn't say who did or did not have a medical condition, trying to justify his employees not following the LAW on his watch. Oddly, the Peters in Lakeland does not have this issue. Personally, I'd be finding a new manager and a few new employees. read more

I reserved an equipment trailer 3-4 days in advance and when I called the day before I needed it to make sure it would be there they had no idea who I was and didn't remember me reserving it was fortunately still available and when I told them I had to take it just over and hour away they refused to rent it to me I will not be returning to this location again read more

What sets Peter's apart from other similar stores is also the reason why I'll keep coming back: the lawn & garden equipment section. Nice selection of equipment, but the store also services and stocks parts for a number of brands. Managed to find a drive belt for my Ariens LM21 and an air filter for its Tecumseh VLV engine with no qualms -- other dealers had to order these. Will certainly come back again! read more

Very helpful staff. Beyond helpful, they know things that a lot of people in big box stores haven't yet gained the experience or knowledge. They seem to have everything, seriously they have some really out of the ordinary things. Also have a mechanic area in the back so you get full service, can get things sharpened or fixed, which is great support if you're a person who is trying to get away from the disposable mind frame. Very happy with Peters selection of hardware, especially the nut and bolts section. They always seem to have what I need in all departments. Very helpful repair shop and hardware department. I needed 3 pieces of glass cut and they took my measurements over the phone and had them ready when I arrived 30 minutes later, very impressed. The prices are a bit higher than the big box stores but the more relaxed atmosphere is worth it. read more

Utterly unsatisfactory support from service department personnel. Left hanging twice on phone when trying to arrange lawn tractor serivce. Then iven faulty information about pick-up schedule for said service resultting in a wasted day wainting for a pick-up that never happened.. I do not rrecommend this company to anyone expecting a positive customer experience. read more
