For the next 10 minutes, he patiently explained which products worked well, which ones were less effective, and provided several helpful recommendations based on my needs. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely interested in helping me find the right solution. The level of customer service John Paul provided was outstanding. This is the second time I have left this location seriously upset. I work retail as a store manager so I like to think I get how hard retail can be. However I also see good and bad customer service. I went to get mulch, (as did half my area today). 15 bags which is a larger amount. You can pay at the checkout and drive up show your receipt to usually nice associates who load it in your car. I pulled up they took my receipt and started putting the bags in. Then another associate starts helping and loud enough for me to hear says "could have backed up so we didn't have to walk 20 feet." I looked in my rear view and he was giving me a horrible look. What! I had NO idea where to park for "his convenience." How would I know where the mulch is??, So I turned around and said ." Ohhhh you want me to back up cause I will." He stopped kind of caught off guard I answered. Said "it's too late now." Turned walked off leaving the other nice man to finish. Wow. I have never felt so disrespected at a store. All anyone needs to do is say "excuse me, the mulch you want is back a bit, do you mind backing up?" So passive aggressive and disrespectful. Basically being angry about doing his job and complaining to my face like I had done something wrong. If this wasn't so close to my home, I would never ever come to this location again. read more

The employees were great but that's not why I'm here. I'm here because I went out of my way to buy a milwaukee 18 INCH m18 fan. The app said they have 7 in stock available for pickup. I have been working in 105 degree plus heat and my little m18 fan isn't doing the job. So I drove almost an hour to this location to wait for 90 minutes and be told they can't find them anywhere in the store. This is not the first time this has happened. The online store won't allow me to have one delivered and Amazon is charging 100-200 dollars more than anyone else. The next closest fan is supposedly located another 40 minutes north of this store. I'm not taking that chance. I planned on spending 1000 today on powertools but home depot missed the mark. I'll take my money somewhere else. read more

The Flowery Branch HD doesn't deserve 1 star, but it wouldn't allow zero stars! IF you have to go to a Home Depot, do yourself a favor and drive to the one two exits down on Buford Hwy. Those people really care about you. At the Flowery Branch HD, you can never find anyone who "wants to help," or a Manager that actually values your business, or a checkout clerk that actually wants to "check you out," rather than audit your process. I have had it with this horrible service and overpriced merchandise! From now on, my family will shop at Ace, Lowes, tractor supply and if near the Buford Hwy-HD-only they will get our business. I had a horrible experience with Gussy tonight, at the Flowery Branch Home Depot. This is the second time I have dealt with this woman and this is my second complaint about her. I don't know why she even got involved but she started looking up why my Home Depot store credit didn't work. She was claiming that the card was old, even though the car was issued to me 18 days ago. She started giving me excuse after excuse hoping that I would except it. When I got upset, she was telling me to calm down, even though she was raining her voice to me - THE CUSTOMER! At no time did her or Bryce, the store manager give me a credible answer. This store is horrible.I will use my remaining store credit, if she doesn't steal it and then move on to buy from LOWES. Well I like my neighborhood HD since I practically live here. Lots of helpful folks and generally good prices. The selection has gone away some since I first started frequenting. I often must do a little internet search before going there to make sure they have some things. I have used the online ordering and that's hit or miss. The special ordering seems to do better but items may be anywhere in the store. What I like best is having things available at whim and I like the displays to give me ideas for things. In 2016 I purchased a new refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, and dryer from this Home Depot store. Less than three years later the refrigerator broke down. Rather than spend the money to have it repaired I decided to buy a new refrigerator. I went back to this Home Depot store and spent $1600 for a new fridge. It was delivered last thing two weeks ago and the icemaker is now broken. I called the Home Depot store and told them I wanted to return it and get a different brand. I was told since it was more than 48 hours since it had been delivered to my home, there was nothing they could do. I believe it would've been more accurate if the store manager would've said there's nothing they WILL do. Don't buy appliances from Home Depot. read more

One thing about Home Depot is finding what you want, but most important, finding someone who can find you what you are looking for. This location has a great staff, they know every isle, where everything is and thats a huge help for me when looking for odd things or things I don't buy often. Sure, most go here because we have work to do, toilets to fix, yards to mow, ceiling fans to hang or to buy appliances which always hurts $$$.. But I find myself stopping by often for just those simple things that only Home Depot has and they are the best. IT is huge so maybe some scooters would help - but my lazy ass needs to haul around anyway so no complaints. Love the self check out. read more

I worked for years in a video game store and had customers react that way to me on way too many occasions, and it happened again during my most recent stop into the Spout Springs Home Depot. The store itself is conveniently arranged and easy to navigate, but the gentleman who I approached for assistance was one eye-roll and stifled-yawn away from this Mom toting her tot to saying something not particularly nice to him. 100% inept with online orders. Ordered a pedestal sink. Three weeks they say. The sink shows up and it's damaged. I'm frustrated, but these things happen. I requested-order, we will rush it they say. I check in in two weeks. Not here yet, we will call you, it will be here in three weeks. I call to check in three weeks later, we will call you don't call us. I stop in a week later, it's not here, you are going have to re-order it. Seriously? I could have got in a horse and went to Kohler Wisconsin myself and would have been back weeks ago. Bought a heater here 1yr ago. I bought the extra protection plan. 1yr later it quit working, I filed a claim that's when everything went downhill!!! First they wanted more and more paperwork, receipt for product, receipt for plan(which showed on the warranty web site because I registered it when I bought it)after supplying them with this , I heard nothing. Finally reached someone the told me my claim as approved and a gift card would be sent to my e-mail. Waited,waited, no gift card. Called back then was told I would have to send this massive heater back, after being told by 3 different ppl to just trash it!! Good thing I didn't. I went in today to buy DAP Extreme Stretch caulk. I needed 12 tubes and because they were not in a closed box they customer service representative would not match the contractor's price that says if you buy 12+ tubes it is at a cheaper rate. Had I bought less than 12, I would've paid the higher price. The customer service rep that had the ability to change the price said that we don't match Home Depot.com prices. After she and I stood there for 15 mins in complete silence, she finally said, "I'll do it just one time." I have never had this problem price matching with the online version before, ever. Many she just needs to be educated thoroughly with Home Depot practices. Customer service is a real issue. I understand hiring employees is a challenge, but Home Depot should invest in their current employees. Here's and idea. It may be a good idea to invest in team building for customer service and hire a professional that is familiar with Maslow's hierarchy of human needs to educate your employees. read more

Worst appliance buying experience you could imagine. My wife and I spent over $4,000 on all new appliances for our new home. Washer/Dryer, Refrigerator, Stand up freezer, you name it. We were assured by the rep at the time of purchase that we could change ANYTHING about the order at any time for any reason if we needed to. So when we had to change houses because the builder couldn't complete the home we were currently under contract to purchase on time and we called to have the delivery address changed to the new house we expected it to be an easy task. Unfortunately it was not. We were told that we couldn't do that. The delivery was still 11 days away, it's not like it was a next day delivery. In fact, Home Depot's solution was to "just meet the truck at the other house and transport the items to the new home yourself." What a joke. We were supposed to get a phone call from the manager after he checked his options. As I'm sure you can imagine, that never came. We'll be taking our $4,000 elsewhere. Not to mention the materials we have to purchase for the detached garaged we are building as soon as we move in. I'll never step foot in the Home Depot in Flowery Branch again. After two unsuccessful delivery attempts, it is now July 25th and we STILL have not received our washer and dryer!I have called repeatedly, got bounced around, passed off to store management and told various stories. Today I was told in 48 hrs to expect a call from the delivery company, on giving me a date down the road on when they would come. Oh! TERRIBLE service.... I regret to inform you all that I have never ever been served so badly by a group of individuals as to how I was treated here. I ordered a microwave a month ago to be delivered to my newly bought house and it took them three "attempts" to deliver all in which ended in utter failure to complete the task at hand followed by a strand of excuses. Every single time they fail to deliver the microwave I drove to the Home Depot in Flowery Branch to figure out what went wrong and not only was I greeted with a lack of service, a disorganized team/system, and a disrespectful manager whom offer no help as well as tried to blamed us for the failed deliveries. Don't even get me started on the time-consuming waits of 45 minutes-1 hour which ended with us just leaving without an answer or responsible solution. In the end, we decided to ask for the microwave to be delivered to the Home Depot to be picked up(as a final chance to redeem the store's service abilities), however, we never got a follow up respond after wanting for a week. As a result, we were tired of waiting for nearly a month and a half for A SINGLE MICROWAVE, therefore, we decided to just cancel the order. BTW, the so call time window they give you for the delivery isn't even reliable because I had my daughter sit at home for 4 hours to waiting for the microwave that never came. They didn't bother to give us the "delivery call" that's suppose to exist. All and all, I'm shocked by the horrible service and treatment that was offered at this Home Depot. I will be sure to never step foot into this Home Depot again as long as their service remains this way. read more

Bought a middle-of-the-road washer & dryer. Was told it would be 3+ weeks for delivery. Seemed like a very long time to me. Once they finally arrived, the washer was damaged. Dryer was fine. It wasn't the delivery guys' fault because I watched them unload it and open the box. Delivery guy told me I still had to sign the form stating it was delivered, which I did not. So I went to HD to ask about replacing it, and staff there could not provide me with any document, either electronic or hard copy, stating when I would get the new washer. Asst. Store manager said he could do nothing for me. No discount, no coupon, no gift card, no receipt, no nothing. I said can you just hit "print screen" they said no. The whole time HD already has my money! Was told the delivery company would call to reschedule; they did not. We ended up calling them a week later. Was told they could redeliver on a Saturday night! Very frustrating experience to deal with them. Will not buy appliances from HD again. read more
