I have reach out several times to discuss multiple issues with my custom closet order and failed installation. I asked coordinator to call me before reordering any product as she also quoted a replacement of the already behind schedule project in February, which I am not interested in waiting for considering the poor quality of the product and lack of service I have received thus far. I have also noticed failures regarding the lack of payments being applied and charges for services that were not rendered that I had asked to be removed. Passable Home Depot location that seems all to likely to be out of things we need (potting soil, thermometer, deck screws to name a few recent items). Otherwise, a chain-level Home Depot that delivers expected service and prices. This store is conveniently located on 35W at Basswood, although an argument that can be made that nothing is convenient about that stretch of 35W because it is traffic-bound nearly all friggin day. But I digress... For certain things, like shower heads and tools, Home Depot has better prices than Amazon. As drawn as I am to the convenience of Prime next day delivery, the benefit of the touchy-feely factor for home improvement supplies is likely to keep the brick and mortar model alive and well for Home Depot. It's really one of the few retail businesses that's insulated from the web extinction because literally every time I walk in I feel *empowered* to build and fix stuff. So yeah, there'll always be a place for Home Depot. This location of three within a 15 minute's drive or so from me. I tend towards the Keller store because it's easier to enter and exit, always has the items I need, and is slightly cleaner. read more

We used to shop here weekly. We buy a lot of wood, a lot of landscaping, big dollar items including appliances. We have been screwed over so bad this time with three bad refrigerators and they refused to pick up the last one so we can get our $3,000 back and by a fridge from somewhere else. I am happy that Home Depot is open, and lucky for me, I got in before a huge crowd formed in a line outside. Sucks they all had to wait outside in the sun like that. Today, the employees were just really REALLY grumpy. Although, there WAS one younger guy in ISLG that actually asked if I wanted help finding something which is why I saved some stars. However, the lady manning self checkout was short tempered with my dad and obviously didn't want to be there. Fortunately I know how to reset after being in such a negative vibing place, but I know the bad attitudes will rub off on a lot of customers. Very disappointed in the lack of service. We are 2 senior women who bought 20 bags of very heavy decomposed granite. Asked for help loading and was told you'd have to wait awhile. I have not really been back here since I purchased my home several years ago. It's close by and had all the essentials I needed at the time (blinds, cabinet knobs and handles, paint, etc.) They had a good selection and prices were reasonable, especially for a first time home owner like myself. Customer service is decent. Help is there, you just gotta go find it. It seems most of the associates don't speak to you unless spoken to. Items are well stocked and the store is neat and clean. I love going through their garden center even though I have a brown thumb. They keep this are nice and maintained. I came in recently to look for light bulbs that I couldn't get at Walmart. They didn't have it here either so I opted for a different wattage. Self checkouts for the most part. I would be annoyed if I had a large or complicated purchase. I didn't like how the new bulbs looked in my kitchen so I came back to return it. That process was surprisingly very easy. Of course, I had my receipt. The associate was pleasant and helpful. Been going to this Home Depot a couple times a week for the last year or so and have been disappointed with the lack of friendliness and hospitality from staff. I realize it's a large department store, but I feel like employees can have the hospitality to say hello and welcome you. When you need help for anything here it's rare to find someone helpful or willing to help you. As for the rental area, it's a mess. Have rented three items recently and ALL three have been broken when I showed up to the work site. When I went to return and explain each of the items didn't work, they offered $8 off. Have lost $100s on rentals here. Avoid renting from this location. read more

I want to give a shout out to Todd in Lumber at the store at Basswood and 35. I went into Home Depot and told the first employee I saw that I knew nothing about wood but needed to replace what I'd brought in due to water damage. Then she asked me what type of wood it was. Huh? Anyhow, Todd in lumber looked at my wood, recommended a replacement and then cut It to spec for me. He took the old nails out and sent me on my way. I delivered a large catering order to this Home Depot for their 4th of July party via Door Dash (3 trips to load my car at the restaurant, and 3 trips to unload my car at the business). I was tipped $0. Delivery app drivers make almost all of our money through tips, and we pay for our own gas and car expenses. It's always pretty scummy to not tip, but it is especially so on a 50+ item order. I'm sure this is a waste of time, -- as if a business of this size cares about a bad review; but I have no recourse. I already called a left a very polite message with the person whose name was on the order, asking if there had perhaps been some kind of mistake, but I never heard back from them. If you can afford hundreds of dollars worth of food, you can afford to tip the person delivering it. read more

Stopped to get a 5 gallon water jug and ended up buying all kinds of things for home improvement projects. This Home Depot seemed to be somewhat different in the way it was set up and the size. I had a dryer delivery scheduled and the item was dropped by the delivery drivers one the first delivery. I rejected the order and they rescheduled another order for 2 weeks later. I waited for my window and they never showed up. I called Home Depot and apparently the delivery team cancelled my order and never issued me a refund. I was almost a month with no dryer or refund. I officially will never shop at Home Depot again. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Because of our experience here I don't think we will be going to a Home Depot ever again. Amidst a pandemic none of the employees wear PPE. Is it because the company doesn't provide it? Stuff is lined in the middle of main aisles to prevent any level of social distancing. Aisles are blocked off for employees to do....whatever they need to do. While patrons and employees without PPE on corral around the caged end of closed aisles. Why would you not wait until outside of operating hours to close aisles? The organization of this place is also total trash. Need some brackets? Those are on aisle 20. Need some other brackets? I usually shop at this location and most of the employees have always been very friendly. My mother in law and I went yesterday (Friday 3-25-22) and Jared (I hope that's his name - long blond hair) was so helpful with loading our stone with the other gentleman then he helped us to haul the cart up to the front and helped load the stone into our truck. I purchased a Refrigerator, Washer and Dryer from these guys recently and even everyone IN store was polite.. The delivering service (which is not Home Depot) delivered the MOST TERRIBLE FORM OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. Attempted to drop off a Dented Refrigerator, shorting me for the extra parts that i purchased as well as installation, but when i declined the dented appliance--no additional appointment made AKA ZERO delivery for Refrigerator EQUALING Customer Dissatisfaction and refund :( Same for the Washer -- Thankfully, the in store team that helped me, Cristina, was the most delight in handling my traumatic experience. I hope Home Depot considers not using 3Rd Party delivery teams and instead offer the same quality service for in and out of store purchases. Purchased a dishwasher and the install of it. The installer came on the scheduled day with the appliance. He came in and said he couldn't not install it because he was not allowed to. He wanted to drop it off without installing it. I said I had no use for the dishwasher if it could not be installed. His reply was "That's your problem." Note too that my house is only 4 years old so no reason why he could not install it. I sent it back and ordered the same one from Lowes! Install of it was today and the guy installed it, no problem. Horrible customer service. They made us wait out in line in the hot sun for 15 min before even letting us in the store. Inside no one was around to help, and many of the isles were blocked by stuff. It was a mess. When I finally did find someone to ask for help the worker said, "let me ask" disappeared and never came back. Then the isle I needed stuff from got closed off. This particular location of Home Depot will always be our "go to" store. I had purchased a Shark Navigator vacuum that decided to quit working. We could not find our receipt, and I didn't expect a return to work in my favor to be honest. Natasha took care of everything...she allowed me to pick out a new vacuum, even after learning my old one was only available through their online portal now..I didn't have to go thru the whole return online process. And since the vacuum I returned was now sold at a lower price, she allowed an almost even exchange so I was able too pick out a slightly newer model of the Shark, getting full credit for the one I returned. The process was quick, painless (to my wallet!) and I couldn't have been more pleased with the way Natasha took care of everything. Excellent customer service!! read more

They sell black natural gas pipe. They use to cut it for free, now if you get a $22 10 foot piece cut it is $7 a foot, or $70 for a 10 footer cut in half. I get charging a fee for a cut but making in almost 4x the price is outrageous. I guess Lowe's will be getting more of my business. read more

We've been coming here often for the past five or more years and we're always met with the sweetest and most helpful people until a couple of days ago. We needed some wood cut. I first found an employee from a different department to help us because there was absolutely no one in the wood section. This gentleman was so extremely helpful and tried to help us until someone from the department could come. When he finally showed up the guy was rude and had horrible service. A smile or an inviting demeanor goes a long way but he seemed like he was in pain helping my sister and I. That was one of my worst experiences at a home depot. .. read more

I don't know what it is with the negative reviews. I have came in several times to buy things for the office and everyone I have interacted with has been more than helpful. Yesterday's visit is what brought me to write this review. I had a list of things to buy but wasn't sure where any of them would be in the store. This kind man (a Home Depot associate) approached me and asked if he could help me find anything. Instead of just half ass pointing to an isle and doing what most store associates in retail do, he kindly took my list and wrote the isle number next to each item so I knew where it could be found in the store. And for the record, he was 100% right down to how far in and which side each item was on per isle. If that isn't customer service, I don't know what is. I went to buy new blinds and needed them custom cut. We asked one lady how to get help and she seemed very bothered by our question. After that I went to costumer service to ask for help in that department and again the guy seemed bothered by my request. After waiting a while multiple employees had walked by us not noticing we needed help. When we saw to guys in uniform on the isle we were on waiting we asked if they could assist us on cutting the blinds and they said they couldn't help us. I politely said "no thank you" but he insisted, so I waited and waited while he miss-counted my lumber and struggled to figure out my pro-rewards number. All the while the 3 people who were in line behind me were already checked out and gone. This isn't a review for just home depot but Tuff Shed, I would never use Greg with ruff shed. For one as I was purchasing my shed I asked him if he had my anchors on it, he said yes, is my permit on there yes. I got the keystone series and he even circled it. When the guys got here they had the Sundance series and when I look at my paper work it said Sundance but it didn't have anchors, so then he told me I would have to get with Home Depot and pay the $200 to get the anchors done. So now you charged me an extra $300 for a shed that I didn't pick and now I have to pay even more money to get the anchors ‍ the whole process was a pain and Greg doesn't have his act together and doesn't stand behind his product. Save yourself some problems and if they say Greg is your salesman to another Home Depot and get someone different. read more

I have shopped at home depot for many years, many locations. One of the better aspects is that once you get used to their store, they all seem the same. I like that. One of the more frustrating aspects if finding what I need. For many years, customer service went down, WAY down. I recall reading about 2-3 years ago they were going to recognize that customer service had weakened and rectify it. I have to say, the most recent visits the last 2 years or so have improved. I can find staff and they seem mostly knowledgable. I still get lost in these places. I suppose that is expected when the store is that freaky big and trying to carry a little bit of everything. I went in primarily for an RO water system for under the sink. I didn't care for their choices, rather limited. The price seemed a bit steep to me, at $250 dollars. I used to have a salt water aquarium, so I had built a very nice system from an online dealer. It was old and starting to leak, have to replace these every few years. I took home the new system I bought out of convenience. The fittings were not a match, doesn't connect easily to any of my prior set up, so I took it back. I give them credit for smiling when I walked in, immediately taking it off my credit card, and thanking me. I then went home and ordered the same system (a better one) from my online water company for $125 + tax. read more

Home Depot is a necessary evil, generally speaking. But I have to give this store credit for its care and compassion when a horrible storm came through yesterday. I took cover there when I saw a wall cloud, and the staff did a phenomenal job of getting everyone to safe cover while the sirens went off outside the store. They even gave the kids little glowstick/whistle/strobe light things that gave them something to occupy themselves while the storm passed. After the worst was over, they kept us inside until the lightning lightened up - although I was ready to go home, it was nice to have someone exercise some better judgment. The plus is that they are are so close to my house, the minus is everything seems a little disorganized. I usually find what i am looking for but it takes a little time its worth it because to me it seems their prices are a little cheaper.
