Inadequately trained staff in the rental department coupled with unsafe antiquated equipment caused about $3000 worth of damage to my vehicle. At the encouragement of the manager, I filed a claim with their insurance Sedgwick feeling confident Home Depot would take some responsibility for this claim. Sedgwick determined that no fault on either party could be determined and the claim was denied; even though it was clear that equipment was faulty, staff was not trained and procedures were not followed appropriately. I've been a loyal, consistent, dedicated customer of Home Depot for over 20 years but not any more. I'm taking my business elsewhere. If you rent equipment, pay close attention to detail. read more

I never take the time to write reviews, but here we are. Never experienced more incompetent, unhelpful employees from any store. I wasn't expecting anything great from them, but I needed help to find a simple tool for applying wallpaper. I had to use my phone to find the aisle and section after asking several employees first who nonchalantly told me it was out of stock. Never order anything online for pickup at this location. When I went to go pick up my order, they hadn't even started on it. I stood by the desk longer than it would have taken me to just get the items myself. The only reason I ordered online for pickup is to finance through Affirm since they don't accept it in store for some reason. To top it all off, they didn't have the most expensive item in my order, despite it being marked as in stock online. I was told I would receive a refund, but a couple of weeks later I am still waiting for my money back. read more

It's a box store serving your hardware and lumber needs...went in to get some plywood to cover the counter top and island at my sister's home so she could use the space while waiting on the counter top installers to get back and finish their job...found what we wanted quick and it was a nice thing that Home Depot has a saw where you can get your lumber cut down to size...made my life much easier than having to haul it home, set up saw horses and break out the Skil saw and do the cutting myself I don't like the Price Range box below because this store like any other has items that run the gamut from inexpensive to pricey so I'm cutting it down the middle read more

Uniformed, uneducated, unreliable, and unwilling to help employees at this store. Have received better help from apes at the zoo. Awful experience and sent to this store from the Highland site were the employees were will to help us. But the issue was that they didn't have the battery or edging we were seeking but from a search on their website and a call to the Gonzales store did have our things in waiting. So we paid our $1300.00 bill at Highland to then drive out to Gonzales were the unhelpful employees informed us they didn't have the battery and only one box out of ten of the edging we paid for. Hey Home Depot, get your shit together. This store gets one star because I can't give them the ZERO they deserve! read more

Home depot customer service is the WORSE. I bought a refrigerator and it is taking more then 2 weeks for me to receive it. I am taking care of an elderly person & this is a very big inconvenience. My rating for this location is based on overall service. Some departments are better than others. The PRO desk seems to be the best of all the departments they are quick to help and address any stock issues. If your a regular, like me, some trivial problems can be quickly solved by them. The doors/window Dept is hit and miss. Some days they are all over you, others, you can stand there for 10 mins and never see a soul. The paint Dept. Yes, this is the one Dept that always seems to get me annoyed. Apparently, there are days when the paint person is also the RETURN cashier and the Customer Service rep at the same time. I stood there for 2mins before asking the cashier if anyone was working in paint and it turned out it was the cashier. Overall, the customer service here is better than the all the over locations from downtown New Orleans all the way to Home Depot on Highland in Baton Rouge.....which is always out of stock on items. read more

Steve, in Hardware, helped me find everything I needed. I was putting in an HD antenna, and Steve helped me find rubber boots, because it was raining during my installation, a coaxial stripper, a bushing to seal the hole in the floor, and screws to hold the clamps that are now holding the pole on which the antenna is mounted. Steve even tracked down a certified electrician, who runs the electrical department, to seek advice on my behalf for the project. The antenna is mounted, Steve. I am now watching free television. Okay. We rented a tractor that we used to reroute our driveway. Going through the motions with Home Depot was filled with lots of little issues. It felt as if the person who helped us hated their job and was just there to kill time. It was NOT the same experience as renting from a tractor supply store. About three hours into our job- the front axle broke. We called HD to get them to stop our time and get them to call the hotline for equipment. OMG. It took over two hours for us to hear back from them. They told us that they would send someone in the am to fix it, he would then decide if they could stop our time or not. Luckily, the diesel mechanic was super nice and told them to restart our time to some. When we returned the tractor the girl at the desk was rude and didn't even come out side to check to see if we actually brought the product back :/ Overall, experience was exactly what we paid for. I don't think I would rent from them again. read more

I went in there last night for help and wasn't treated very good. I am currently 8 months pregnant and if I was able to lift on things myself I would have done so. I asked 2 different people if they would mind grabbing Something down for me and would help me put it in my trunk and one told me no that they don't do that and the other one said it wasn't his department to help. This place needs to get it together! We went to to get home repair supplies. First we waited for someone to come help us get fence boards... nobody came for a good 10 minutes. Then we asked for assistance to get some sheet rock paddy and no one showed up. I lifted it and hurt my back. The cashier Sydney had a huge attitude, no customer service what so ever through out the entire store. We asked for assistance to our car waited ANOTHER 15 minutes! Leading me to putting the putty into the car, again straining my back. I'm so glad my mom who just had back surgery didn't go by herself.
