I stopped in The Home Depot to purchase a mailing box and tape, but as a garden enthusiast and plant Mom, I couldn't resist stopping by both departments. Large new selection of houseplants and a nice early selection of annuals, evergreens, and perennials. The staff here is helpful and friendly, even though I didn't need help locating the box and tape. I do appreciate the staff's help and expertise when needed. When you look up Home Depot items online or via their App, product location is always listed. Customer service and same day delivery Very disappointed with Home Depot's same-day delivery. My order was delivered to the wrong house by their third-party service, DoorDash, and I never received it. The only reason this was resolved at all is because--my items were dropped off at my grandmother's friend's house, and she reached out to let us know. After two days, Home Depot and DoorDash have done nothing to fix the issue. No replacement, no refund, no real help. Just a repeat if we will call you back!! I'm now picking up my order myself since they can't seem to figure it out. I wouldn't recommend using Home Depot's same-day delivery service. read more

Careful of promotional offers from the home depot. If you think paying larger amounts than your minimum due will pay off your promotional balance, it won't! Unless you specifically call and ask for the 'Allocations Department' and request that overpayments be 'allocated' to the promotional balance, said promotional balance will sit there, unless account is completely paid off, until the interest comes due. I have registered a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, due to this oversight. No one mentions this while they're offering the 'promotional' interest deferment, but if you check the second page of your statement, you will find that balance has not gone anywhere. With a minimum payment due of $29.00, I have paid in excess of $100.00 since the purchase was made and not one thin dime has touched the balance of a purchase made with 'promotional interest deferment'. uggghhhh---I really wanted to purchase around 200 worth of flowers this spring. They had a very nice selection so I loaded up my flat bed and proceeded to the checkout. One slower moving guy working --He checked out all I had and one planter did not have a price on it. I attempted to have him use one of the other ones that were similar but he had to call for a price check. I waited 15 minutes to the side while the line was backing up with more and more customers he was helping (mind you my transaction was suspended and would have to be paid for and I'm sure I would have to wait for him to finish the line!) Workers sauntered by but none were the "price-checking" employee. I decided I didn't need anything that badly to wait and sauntered on out of there without a thing! Over you Home Depot. read more

What a really rotten flooring install project experience!!!!!!! - Ordered flooring. - Home Depot installers came. 4 of the 9 boxes of flooring were damaged. - HD had to reorder. (Special order). HD person said 2 weeks but would expedite. After 2 1/2 weeks of no call, I had to call them. Yes, it was there waiting for me to pickup. - Checked flooring when loading into car. MORE damaged flooring. (1.5 boxes). - Called installer to schedule and was TOLD I was put on calendar. - Install day came and went. No install. - Install company said "I was not on the schedule." Had to schedule again. - Now must wait another 2 1/2 weeks for installation. Does not seem that Home Depot or the installation company really cares that I can't use my room for 2 months. Next time, I guess it will try Lowes! read more

Not a bad store to pick up things, the employees can be helpful if you manage to catch one that isn't busy. They also have crafts for kids on occasion. This was the first store in the shopping area and it seems that none of the other stores connected to this one, so it's sort of a pain to get to. You need to get on the correct road or you'll end up back on Jonestown road. read more

Rude and unhelpful customer service. Bought a microwave online and received it on Thursday morning. Saturday morning I went to install it, and it turned out that it required a trim kit to install. Rats. I went to order the trim kit online, and it wasn't available from Home Depot (or any other retailer). Fine. I wanted to do an exchange, and asked via the online chat for a pickup. I was told by the online service to call the store, who then told me to call another number, who tried to get the manufacturer, who then told us to call the store. The online representative I was working with acknowledged they couldn't sell me the installation kit, so said she would call the store to ask for a pickup. She couldn't get the lead appliance person, and said they would call me back with instructions on how to get the microwave picked up at my home, and gave me the name of the person to talk to. Someone from this store called back a few hours later asking me to bring the microwave in. I told them it was a long drive for me, and the person online said I could get a pickup. Then they told me the lead appliance person was on a lunch break and would call me later. Finally, the lead appliance person called me and flatly stated they wouldn't do a pickup, and I had to bring the unit in. I asked why there wasn't an exception given that I was sold an un-installable microwave, as acknowledged by the online sales rep. After being fed some answer, I said that I thought that wasn't good customer service (without raising my voice). The appliance guy said that it wasn't his fault that I had "buyers remorse" (which I didn't, he simply didn't have in stock what was necessary to actually install the microwave). He then went further to say "actually, I'm doing you a favor by taking the microwave back, as you're past the return window." If I can help it, I will never shop at Home Depot again. read more

Honestly I've never had a bad experience here. If anything they've been the most helpful home improvement place I've been to and I go to a lot of them in different places. Their customer service desk people are always eager to help and everyone here knows their stuff. When I say that I mean they have practical experience and are not just trying to sell you stuff. I've had great experiences from Kurt in the paint isle and Brandon at the service desk who were ever so kind to walk me through and explain how things worked. read more

This is truly the worse place to shop for hardware I have ever been too, and I've bought it it some of the poorest places in Africa. I don't know how many times my kids and I have helped confused shoppers, and elderly people trying to get stuff into their cars while troops of orange oafs talked to each other or leaned against boxes and such. I once had a chance to talk to the chairman of the board in his office (I was there for another reason) who told me that this is the worse Home Depot in North America. Unfortunately It is incredibly near my house, and on my principle path to everything so it is just too easy to hold my nose and go in. read more

Had issues with an order and the manager would never be bothered to get engaged to get on the phone to take care of a very unsatisfied customer. Was in the store friday and nothing but rude workers. First one was a very large man who pushed me and my service dog to go i Handicapped stall. I go up fro nt to speak to manger workers just take notes and go him agian. Next worker gets mad i tell them to stop petting my service dog. Mumbles rude names at me, as they walk away not help i needed. Other worker tells me o snap i hate dogs agian no help. I finalt get asst manager who goes ill talk to them and o is that paint all your buying. Yes and he walks away uh ok odd. Go to check out another worker i want to pet your dog. No shes working and says do not pet. I get well i want too. And pouts like a child. This is two diffent home depts that treat folks with service dogs like crap. read more

Typically have a very good experience with this store until now. Always very kind and courteous employees in past. Purchased countertops end of November. Gentleman who I worked with to order countertops was fantastic! Unfortunately they use Eastern Surface to fabricate and install. Won't get into the nightmare that working with Eastern Surface has been, you can read their horrible reviews for yourself, but very disappointed by the Home Depot employee, Karen Ulrich, who in my opinion, clearly has an allegiance to Eastern Surface and not the Home Depot customer. Unless there is a quick resolution, I will never use Home Depot for a project again and will do everything in my power to ensure no one I know uses them. I am now with a torn apart kitchen, no working plumbing in there, and no assistance from Home Depot. read more

Finally after ten minutes and more requests someone comes by and says hey do you need help ? I said yes and they said welll I am needed in plumbing and continued on. I realized back in December when we first started looking  at the house that we would eventually come to occupy that my little battery-operated Toro push-mower was not going to be hardy enough for a 1+ acre lot. Despite serving me very well over the last 5 years for smaller lots - and really providing me with an outstanding work-out all the while saving on gas and oil, a 1+ acre lot and that mower were going to be mutually exclusive. So, I began searching for a tractor. This brought me to Home Depot after my trip to Lowes. Typically, I like Lowe's a lot better for a variety of reasons. That said though, I ended-up buying a Cub Cadet at Home Depot because they offered to match the 10% coupon that came in my Relocation Packet from USPS. Service: Home Depot's service is always the worst. This trip was really no different. From the gruff old dude in Lawn and Garden who seemed about as miserable as a person with a sword jammed in their chest, to the equally is unpleasant front-desk lady who was more concerned with being pissed at her co-workers for not replying to her call for 'backup' than she was about the customer standing in front of her. I get it. It is retail. Your coworkers are (often times) people who do not care as much as you do. I know. I managed retail for several years. That doesn't mean you let it affect you to the point where it makes your customers uncomfortable. I shouldn't feel hostility radiate from you...even if it isn't toward me. Service: 2 / 5 Atmosphere: Ultimately, I like Lowe's better than Home Depot because their stores are brighter and more inviting. Home Depot always feels so depressing and gloomy. This Home Depot felt no different. Yet, I have come to expect this from Home Depot, and seems to transcend space and time in the respect that all Home Depot stores feel that way. Atmosphere: 3 / 5 Price: This category is pretty negligible since both big box stores run their own fancy promotions at one time or another, and both of them are pretty good. That said, I tend to find that Lowe's offers slightly better everyday prices on the items that I buy. Price: 3 / 5 Final Thoughts: If it is between Lowe's and Home Depot, I usually choose Lowe's. They have definitely let me down on multiple occasions, but somehow, that is only a fraction of the amount of times Home Depot has done so. I tend to like the smaller Tru Value, and other similar stores a little bit better in terms of service - but they don't have near the product selection that a Lowe's or HD does. As I mentioned above, ultimately, I ended up buying from Home Depot and not Lowes. The reason? The Cub Cadet just felt right. Between the lower profile gas-pedal and the significantly more comfortable seat with the high-back - it was a no brainer. Add to that a stellar review from the vast majority of sources, and it really made the decision quite easy. It was $500 more than I wanted to spend, but for the extra HP, deck length (cut), and the additional features, it was what felt good to me. Plus, the yellow and black looks sharp! read more

Do not use Home Depot for and installation projects. I found out the hard way their installation is all subcontractors. American flooring installation is awful. It took them weeks to get an install appointment, and then they tried to reschedule the night before the job,, after making my partner and I take off work. Magically after complaining to the Home Depot manager she had them return my call and Mike said he would have someone out in the morning. Well someone did show up. To tell us they couldn't do the job. The ass istant managerat Home Depot was an idiot and sided with the subs saying (we have no control over what our subcontractors do or don't do.) do not use their installers. Had purchased a window draft stopper from here during a previous visit and wanted to buy exactly the same one. Could not locate the item at the same spot after a week. Tried asking couple of staff there and even provided the SKU. They checked their inventory and found that many were available but could not locate even though they looked for 10-15 min. The store always looks crowded and cramped. No complaints about the staff but they should be able to locate atleast their inventory. read more

If I were you, I would choose Lowe's over this store which is only 3 miles away from this place. Customer service/ cashiers are great and pro guys from Lowe's are highly knowledgeable of their products but this place has to read the information behind the box and give you crappy explanation which only exists in their world. oh hello, mister I can read that too. I had a competitor coupon from Lowe's which they refused to honor it BUT he gave us only $50 off on our $1200 purchase by saying "I can offer only 10%" in a lowers voice to get us." The catch was $50 max discount. When I got home and realized this isn't what we were told and I went back to the store to get additional discount back. Customer service person name "Ronald" refuse to acknowledged his shady conversation with us earlier when checking us out and said " I clearly said 10% off, $50 max discount and there is nothing I can do about it". I told him I have an actual coupon in the house for HD and he told me on the face "you can bring, we will give you the difference back". I was hoping he would give me the difference back which was only $52. Now, I have to go back again 3rd time to get the difference because my stupid dad liked the laminate floor from HD. I had a same experience on the Lowe's but they offer me 10% on my $3700 purchase when my coupon didn't worked. Lowe's cares about their numbers as well as their customers so they can come back especially with those higher purchases but this hd place doesn't seem to care at all. They just lost a customer who was willing to spend a lot more at this place for remolding a home. read more

Gary in plumbing and Joe in Lumber, great men who really know their stuff. They are very attentive, they care about their job and they also care about helping the customer. Gary solved a couple of problems for me, leading me to the correct parts to buy (when I almost bought the wrong items which would have ruined my night). And Joe was very helpful to a family member of mine who needed advice on what to buy, Joe fixed him up and got him on his way. You don't find this sort of service often. Ever since Mike took over as the store manager he has brought that Marine Corps attitude with him. I see him getting his crew together early in the morning and dicussing how to handle issues and to take care of the customers. He goes well beyond his job and continually pushes for excellance. He is always constantly on the move andnis the only manager i have seen assist in loading grills, lawn mowers, grabbing carts and doing the little things that count. If there were a manager of the year award i would definately nominate Mike for it. I dont give many praises to people but he continues to stand put and is a fine asset to the company and shareholders. Also i want to thank him and also the cashier Dawn for putting up a beautiful display of military and lawn enforcement coins that shows the support of those courageous groups as well. May e all homedepots should have displays like this to commenorste our local soldiers and lawn enforcement. Our experience at this Home Depot (on Jonestown Rd.) was completely different, thanks in large part to Josh. We were looking for something that turned out to be available only online. He placed the order for us and was totally professional and pleasant. Our opinion of Home Depot is now much more positive and we will shop there again. read more

I spend thousands of dollars in Home Depot and have never been treated so unprofessional in a store. I don't know if it's the season but the two floor employees I had contact with acted as if I was annoying them. The first guy, Mike, in the doors & windows was annoyed that I was going to use a flat cart that he had a damaged product on that sitting in an aisle with no one around. I'm not sure why it was there. He told me not to touch the item on the cart and he has moved it three times already today and told I needed to go 8 isles down to get a cart as he was leaning against a counter at the door service desk. The next guy appeared to be returning products to the shelves and I had a simple question of where an item was but had to say excuse me three times before he even looked up from reading the item and looked at me with a annoyed look on his face. It appears like all the workers are very miserable. I understand it can be very stressful in the holiday time but this store was not very busy today. That will be the last penny I spend at Home Depot. Lowe's has mostly the same product and workers are much more friendly and assisting. If you want a store that will help you this is not the place to go. read more
