8/12/2025 2:20 pm. I did not get the name of the individual, but I did report my experience to the manager. Two other employees knew who it was and I shared that with manager. I didn't get close enough to him to see his name tag after the verbal abuse he hurled at me. Unbelievable. Home Depot, you can do better and should if you want repeat customers. I had just spent over $600 and just beginning my projects. I got in my car and went to LOWE'S. After the altercation, I was helped by NICHOLAS, who was very nice and professional. Most of the staff is sitting around on their phones and have no interest in helping the customers. I have no interest in spending my money at this location any longer. I went in today because I purchased a floor jack from them that stopped working. All I wanted to do was exchange it for a new one. I was told because of a new policy that nothing could be returned without a receipt. I explained I didn't want my money back I just wanted to exchange for another jack. I was told, "there's nothing I can without a receipt". my response, "if I leave here without a new floor jack you will lose a customer forever". the response back was a shoulder shrug and "I'm sorry". FYI husky tools have a lifetime warranty. as for the employees of Home Depot the only thing they are good for is consuming oxygen. they do not know where anything in the store. they have to look it up on a smart phone then they tell you which aisle it's in. they do not know anything about the products they sell and this is a direct reflection of the upper management of Home Depot. this also reflects the massive amount of corporate greed Home Depot has. There's minimal training for the employees, there's more self checkout registers than regular registers, and then you have this new no receipt no service. I will never set foot in a Home Depot again. read more

A few days ago, I went to this Home Depot for a small refrigerator. I bought a special floor unit--not an order, the actual "buy this one right here!" model they were having a special on. I paid extra for delivery and was promised it Tuesday, between 6 AM and 8 PM. Monday, I got an email verification with a tracking number. And today, it told me "pickup in progress." Seven hours later, no fridge. Pickup still "in progress." At that store. When I finally called, I was told the sale had been switched to the Cleveland Heights store, which, apparently, no one in Cleveland Heights knew. I sat here all day for no reason. I'm now waiting for a new delivery window --but why should I trust them? Their promises are plainly a joke. They're utterly incompetent. And they clearly don't care. read more

I am leaving this review as I continue to stand here waiting for over 45 minutes now. I have been waiting for some assistance to have some blinds cut for my mud room, the intercom has been used 3 times and no one has come to assist. On top of that, multiple employees have walked past and I've yet to have someone ask if I needed assistance. Maybe I'll provide an updated review if anyone ever comes to help me out but otherwise, you're probably better off seeking hardware assistance elsewhere. read more

The clerk was helpful helping us find the flap part we needed for a toilet. We looked at ladders. They have a variety at all weights and prices. Only the aluminum style had the fold down tray on top. That's what we got. We like the self check out. Clean store. read more

Nice & clean. This store is well maintained and the staff is very helpful and available. One of the things that can be tough about shopping at a large home improvement store is available staff to answer your questions, but there always seems to be someone to help at this location. If you are purchasing large or heavy items that will take you time to load - this may seem like common sense but keep your cart near your car or have someone watch it. During a recent visit another customer tried to steal an item out of our cart as we were loading our truck... of course this goes for any store you are at but thought I'd share that this did happen at this store location. read more

This is the One Home Depot store I end up going to find what I need! I live in Cleveland Heights but unfortunately the numerous times I've gone to the Severance HD, it has been a waste of my time. Employees hang out in groups of 3-4 chatting and ignoring customers. Shelves are poorly stocked and empty at the Severance HD. Not sure if it's high crime area or just poorly managed? Regardless, every time I go to Severance they are out of what I need so I always end up going to the Home Depot in Highland Heights. Highland Heights HD store doesn't have as many employees but it is well stocked. read more

The service is pretty good here. Like at most hardware stores, it's hard to find help, but when you do, they generally point you in the right direction. They have ample parking, and you can bring your car to the door after checkout if you have a lot of big heavy items. read more

Look, I hardly expect THD to be all that helpful, but when I am wandering around the Electrical Department, looking confused, you would thing SOMEONE would approach me. Nope, not once. At all. And when I got to the check out, they have mostly self check out. I'm incredibly unimpressed by that. The customer service is completely lacking. Love doing any and all DIY repairs in my home and you can often find me here or at the one in Aurora. The fact that they carry this incredible chalk paint that I essentially use in every refurbish of furniture is the best. Highly recommend going to Home Depot for all things, but for sure for the Americana Decor chalk paints - they are the best. read more

Compared to the shopping experience at Lowes, Home Depot is just bush league. Last 3 visits to HD, I ended up going to Lowes to find what I needed. It's a Home Depot. We all know what they carry, what they stock, about their prices etc. Fine. They carry everything and prices are good, store is clean, lots of parking. Clientele is above average. Service is garbage like most home depot stores only this one is about worse. Virtually every department has an associate working, or none depending on who you have to chase down and if you find somebody, the associates are either unknowledgeable or complacent. This includes the managers. You shouldn't have to chase people down to find assistance and if you do find somebody, they should know what they're talking about. The managers should help assist with this process and that includes the self checkout even if there are two of them working on a Sunday with nobody in the store. One exception is the paint department. My recommendation is to go down the street to Dunn Hardware. They will take care of you. Second, head to Lowe's. Good luck. read more

As many times as I have been here, I have never reviewed the place. Staff: aside from the guy who sits at the front entrance on a stool, good luck finding someone to help you. And don't think that checking out in the Garden Center will speed up your exit...that is the longest line. And not to mention, you will develop swamp ass while waiting in line because it is hot in there. And who the hell thought it was a good idea to put this place at the base of an upward sloping parking lot? Nothing like buying 150 lbs of lumber and pushing that stuff uphill. The place wasn't busy but was a mess. The first girl sent me in the wrong direction to find shovels. I needed help finding gutter guards but left after waiting 20 minutes for someone after paging twice. They were too busy setting up for Christmas to help a customer in October. read more

Like most big box stores the focus here is on making sales and moving merchandise, not on customer satisfaction and helpfulness. Most of the employees can offer assistance only in finding an item, not much more. The only exceptions to this might be the decorating departments. If you go here, you know what to expect. buyer beware. be extremely careful! when purchasing a major appliance at home depot. they will not allow returns at all. they also will not give an exchange after 48 hours. after 48 hours they will send repair to your location to determine if unit is defective and decide then if they will replace it. comparing their policy to other stores is as follows: lowes return policy is 30 days, best buy is 15 days and costco is 9o days... therefore it is smarter to purchase major appliances elsewhere. read more
