UPDATE: It just keeps getting worse and worse. So they finally deliver the sheathing 3 days late and 20% of them were damaged. HD had no problem picking up the bad ones but charges an additional $80 delivery fee to bring back the replacements. Seriously! Additional $80 to deliver the whole order undamaged. I don't even think this is legal! * * * * * This review pertains only to HD Scheduled Deliveries for $80. Scheduled delivery at HD sucks! They charge $80 just to deliver a few sheathing panels, say delivery will be in 2 days, then notify you the next day to say delivery will be delayed. Their customer service is about as helpful as a chat bot, which I suspect it to be. read more

The delivery companies they contract with are an absolute nightmare. After purchasing a new stove, the delivery people showed up and were about as friendly as a couple of rattlesnakes. Then we bought a microwave that they refused to install because it was a fraction of an inch too close to the stove. They were almost happy they didn't have to do any work, and we ended up hiring a handyman to install it. The last thing we ordered was a refrigerator, and they were going to just leave it in the driveway until we showed them the paperwork. I would recommend Lowe's over Home Depot any day read more

I usually go in with a plan knowing what aisles all the things I need but I usually come out with more. This location is incredible! I am a pretty loyal Home Depot customer as just last month I bought my central ac unit from them and last fall we had our home re carpeted by them. Last month I was at the Beaverton location and purchased a new patio set and free standing umbrella. I paid to have it delivered and set up. It went down hill real fast. Dates were messed up, it was delivered but not set up, and then the 3rd party cancelled the set up and would not schedule a new appointment. I reached out to the corporate office to voice my frustration. Corporate did some research and reached out to this store. In less than a week two employees from this location volunteered and came out to set everything up! What amazing employees! Extremely happy with my new patio furniture and the employees. They truly went above and beyond to help. I was able to speak with the store manager to let her and the staff know they really saved the day. And thanks to this experience that could have really turned me against them they turned it around and I'll continue to be a loyal customer. read more

Woof, some of these salty reviews.. Jesus, try The Home Depot (THD) in Los Angeles, it's infinitely worse. Perspective, people. Alright, for those that don't know, THD made a decision a few years ago to transition their IT infrastructure from on-prem data centers to using Google Cloud (you can Google this, ironically, no pun intended). What this means is that the transition paralleled a digital transformation effort to make The Home Depot a digital experience as much as it was historically a retail one. And it shows. When you go to the store, you see pick-up lockers that are branded The Home Depot's orange color. When you go through self-checkout, you can use a handheld scan gun to scan all your items and not have to talk to a single employee at all if you don't want to. From your overpriced smartphone, you can check to see EXACTLY what aisle a product is on, not to mention WHAT BAY the product is on in that aisle. Genius, right? It gets better. You can schedule pickups at the store, aka "ship to store" and pick up said item from behind the customer service counter. Now here, things get a little wonky. I think how the system was INTENDED to work and how it ACTUALLY works needs to be further clarified by the folks working at THD HQ in Atlanta, Georgia since there are times when customers come in and expect an item to be at the counter, but instead the item is in one of the package lockers, or vice-versa, the item is expected to be in the package locker, but is actually at the customer service counter. There are apparently different SLA's when it comes to ship to store, versus say ship to home and you want to return it to the store. For example, say you bought something ship-to-home, but the item got lost during transit (not THD's fault per se). But you call up THD and ask for a refund or you say you want to just got to your local THD (like this one) to just buy the item on-site. You cannot get "like-for-like" exchange with the item you bought online, you have to purchase "fresh" at the store and wait the 3-7 business days for the refund from your previous online order to come back. You can imagine what kind of customer experience this creates. Again, not entirely THD's fault, but as a consumer, this is something you should be mindful of when placing orders through their online digital experience, especially if they're pricier ones in the 4 or even 5 figures. One nice thing I like about THD is that even if you buy something in the store, you can have the receipt sent straight to your email so you don't have to worry if you lose the physical copy of said receipt. Other than that, great store, I like that there's plenty of parking, you can rent carpet cleaning hardware if you're cleaning a car (anyone ever spilled milk or coffee in their car? Clean that shit up right away, yo!). THD covers a lot of my bases and I'm glad I've got a nearby THD that I can rely on. "More saving, more doing." read more

We went through Home Depot for a hardwood floor installer. They had no idea what they were doing. They tried to leave the flooring outside. When they started the installation they had no idea what they were doing and then started not showing up. When I would call Home Depot for help, they told me to call the installers. Went through three sets of installers before we found one who had to rip up the previous contractors' work because it was done so poorly. This has taken a year to get the floor put in and Home Depot has been horrible in assisting me to get it right. read more

Typically ordering something online is intended to be a more effective and efficient way to buy stuff. Buy and pay online, slide on in to the store, pick up and go..Seems simple huh? Today I slid on into Home Depot to pick up a fridge water filter I purchased a week ago. Yeah I know, but I had a whole month before they returned it to stock. So I walked in and i noticed that there were order lockers for pick-up. I thought that would be super convenient but I checked my email and I didn't see the barcode, so I went inside. I knew I needed an air filter anyway so I went to get that and I walked up to the customer service desk. I gave the associate my information and she proceeded to tell me that it was in the lockers. I knew this wasn't true but I have been wrong before so I went back to check again...with the same result. So I looked at the email and showed her that it specifically said to pick up @ customer service. She seemed slightly indifferent but she reluctantly started pecking at the keyboard of her computer. She walked back to the locked case behind the counter, and low and behold...there it was. I admit I gave a pretty sarcastic comment when she handed it to me but seriously, I could have gone to get it myself and paid for it in the time it took. This kinda defeats the purpose of the whole thing. Now this should be a learning experience so I won't give her name but Tom Petty did sing about her "Last Dance". All things considered now we will have fresh water and cleaner air. read more

Worst home delivery experience in my life! Run for the hills! We had a new fridge "delivered". They called on their way but almost missed their allotted time slot. When they got here, they parked in the back where our garage entrance is and immediately got frazzled because the garage doorway looked too slim, even without taking off the door, so they would have to take it in the front door instead (around the other side and up three stairs from the patio to the door). We anticipated that this might happen so we were prepared to take either door of its hinges...BUT we didn't anticipate that they a) didn't have any tools or b) didn't know how to take it off. Note: We have the tools and have done this before; and although, we're paying for them to do it, we offered to take the door off for them. They responded by getting defensive because they were unprepared and clearly too inexperienced and insisting that it wasn't necessary - that they were the professionals so they knew best... well, that went as expected - they attempted to force the fridge through the door and scraped our door frame pretty badly in the process. The fridge didn't fit and instead of letting us remedy their incompetence by taking the hinges of and trying again, they suddenly had to go - claiming they were out of time (it had been 20 minutes). And even though, we argued that an average delivery likely took longer and they were allotted to be there until the delivery was actually completed, they left the fridge where it stood and made a bunch of excuses for why they couldn't stay to do their job. We attempted to call them back again after we had taken the door off (5 min later), but they refused to answer their phones. Then, we called customer service and was assured a manager would promptly resolve this which was that we could reschedule the window for another day. REALLY? AND LEAVE THE FRIDGE WHERE IT STOOD? OUTSIDE? So, rather than deal with this complete incompetence from both the delivery service and the customer service center, we went and rented an appliance dolly, called a couple of good friends, and moved the fridge inside ourselves; and then, put the door back on the hinges. We will NEVER use their service again and I will NEVER purchase anything more than nails unless nothing else is open for miles and miles around. And I will most definitely share this experience with as many friends and family as I possibly can from now until I die. We finally get help.... the young woman sends us first to electronic doorbells....I explain that it says on google that they have mounts in store. She says it must be wrong. This would be better but when you close the bathrooms for remodel for several days with no potta potties or anything it is not guest friendly. thousands of people each day shop here, you can't not have restrooms. i ended up having to go next door to lowes. While there I bought what I needed for almost 100 dollars. So HD lost out on my business that day. It was a small drop in the bucket to them, but did others do the same? Beyond that, I love HD. They are easy to navigate, the layout makes sense and I can usually find alot of staff on had to assist. We had a very negative experience with Precision Countertops who were contracted through Home Depot for a project. Bailey was the only person who took our concerns seriously and she worked tirelessly to make me feel comfortable and find a solution. This woman should run the entire store IMO. read more

Worst. Experience. Ever. 1. Customer service person in store gave us terrible information, which resulted in us purchasing a grill online with "scheduled delivery". According to the service rep at the store, this order type meant the item would be shipped new from a warehouse. This is not the case and is basically shipped from a store, after it's shipped to a store from a warehouse, or it's just shipped from a store where the grill has been sitting around. The rep also told us delivery would take 5 days to deliver if we purchased from store, but the site said two days from purchase. So we ordered online expecting to days later we'd have a grill. 2. Five days later, the grill showed up (ironically the same time the rep at the store told us versus the website). It was delayed and we got a notice the day before it was supposed to be delivered. Then we received email communication that it would be delivered "tomorrow", but apparently a system error sent out the email early and we received that notification in error. Found this out after an hour texting with Home Depot "service". 3. When the grill was finally delivered, it was damaged. There was spray paint on the grill, the installed parts were crooked, the grill grates were chipped, and the pellet area was dented. When working with "customer service" for about an hour, they were able to schedule a pickup of the damaged old grill and a delivery of a new grill for the next day. 4. Of course that delivery was delayed, as well as the pick up company said they showed up for pick up but they did absolutely not. With the pickup window of 6a-8p, we woke up early to make sure we were available. Not a knock, doorbell ring, or a call. If they did "show up", they just drove through and didn't stop. 5. After an hour on the phone with "online customer service", multiple people talked to, we were told that our order wasn't an online order and we needed to contact the store. Even though we placed the order online, because of the delivery option, it was a store order; which again, was not what the original store service rep told us. After then contacting the store, they confirmed shipping would be the next day and pick up would be the day after (two days after the time they told us, again...). 6. After a week, which was supposed to be two days, we received the second grill that was supposed to be new. Again, delivered, the product was damaged. After calling service at the store, they were able to give a very minuscule credit to the order, which is better than nothing. But after two damaged grills, a week of waiting which should have been two days, and 3+ hours on the phone dealing with "customer service", we just decided to keep the grill. It's too much of a hassle to deal with this store/company anymore and it'll at least work. But paying almost a thousand dollars for a damaged item, and dealing with a dozen people to get a small discount, we won't be shopping at Home Depot, at all. We'll use Amazon or pay more from a local hardware store than deal with the big box that doesn't give any sort of care for their customers. read more

Their online ordering system is absolute junk. I'm receiving text messages that say one thing, emails that say another, and their online tracking something completely different. The order has been delayed 2 days so far yet the tracking still shows one item arriving as scheduled. Called the 1800 number, they were clueless, had to go through multiple systems to figure out that they don't know. Called the store second and they are the only ones with accurate information. They did deliver 2 boxes of screws on time which says online that it was coming in 3 separate orders, which is pretty confusing. read more

Unfortunately I can't even review the appliance purchased through Home Depot, because their delivery contractor, JBC Product Management, failed to properly install the washer and is now leaving us with work on our end that's going to cost us time and money. The first order was cancelled without notice, another order for the washer was put in, and a week later our washer finally came. The delivery showed up without the promised 30 minute warning, although it was in the allotted time frame. The man delivering our washer spent a moment looking at a valve, told me it was broken, and that I could either pay money for them to take the washer or they could leave it with me and they would come back another time for the install. Turns out this person was inept, and it was discovered within a short time of him leaving there was nothing wrong with the valve. Now the next contractor won't come out for another week. I'll be calling Home Depot regularly to make sure these contractors aren't dispatched to come to my house, and I'd recommend if you have the chance to vet them you consider doing the same. I'll also be filing with the Better Business Bureau and whatever other consumer agency JBC Product Management reports to. Home Depot is doing nothing on their end to resolve this, other than scheduling again a week out from now (two weeks out from purchase). Would not recommend this location, and especially not the contractors they use, at all. read more

Not my problem, I canceled the card and will not go there again!!!! Lowe's is next door so it will be easy to skip Home Depot from now on. read more
