A DIYer's dream come true: ReStore makes the most of the donations they get here, most of which is cast-offs from renovation projects, including building supplies, cabinets, doors, windows, furniture... you name it. There are even used tools in decent condition, and occasionally artwork, appliances, lawn hardware and more. I wouldn't compare it to Goodwill though : they are fairly picky about what they accept as far as donations, and there are no clothes. As someone who's both donated and bought here, I'm a fan. Prices are more than reasonable and you're saving this stuff from going in the dump. read more

I love browsing this store. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff are helpful. They have a lot of different items, from home decor, to outdoor equipment, and a lot of home improvement tools! This store things from the dollar tree marked up to $3. The furniture and other household items are outrageously overpriced!! No one on low income can even shop this store. Plus,a lot of the couches smell and are dirty. The paints are mostly no good and all caked up inside. The tools are way overpriced. My favorite purchase was two framed vintage French poster for 8 dollar each during their 50%off sale. Also I got a huge tub of dry wall compound, dry wall tape and tools to patch my garage wall with fraction of the price! The staff are always welcome and willing to assist. You have to haul your items, but they do have business card ready if you want to hire hourly movers to deliver your funds. Due to the COVID, they reroute the entrance to the side of the building (on the railway side). They limit the amount of ppl in the store, so sometimes there's a long line. We have shopped at the Beaverton Habitat for Humanity ReStore a couple times and also donated items in the past. Browsing in the ReStore is dangerous! You just may find something you didn't know you needed. Lots of furniture, appliances, cabinets, even exercise equipment; dishes, glassware, cookware, and lawn & garden furniture. The items are in very good condition because they are "picky" about what they accept. The donation guidelines says it all "Every donation helps build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership." This is not The Goodwill, please don't try to pawn off your junk. About five years ago we had our kitchen remodeled and our contractor was able to donate most all of our appliances and kitchen cabinets, which were in excellent shape. Just this month we were able to donate a beautiful and well-loved dining room set that belonged to my late Mother-in-Law. It was a gorgeous antique she left to me but we had no where to keep it. It lived in our storage locker for three years before my husband made the decision to donate it to ReStore so that some family could enjoy good times gathered around it. So many memories, very good memories. The process for donating was fairly easy. We contacted ReStore in Beaverton, emailed a picture of the dining set and scheduled a pickup time. There is a pickup fee but it's cheaper than renting a U-Haul to transport ourselves. Apparently, the driver makes the final decision about whether the item is suitable or not. Our driver took one look at the dining set and said it wasn't going to last long in the store since it was so beautiful and in perfect condition. We shed a few tears when the truck drove away but we knew it was the right thing to do. My Mother-in-Law would have approved. read more

My Son used to volunteer here, and I've visited myself at least a couple times. This ReStore is a huge warehouse-like space that is full (but easily traversed) of all sorts of interesting household supplies, furniture, appliances, and lots of stuff in between. And donations are always welcome. This place is like an Onion in that there are many layers of merchandise and each visit or even a rewalk during a single visit, usually reveals something new. And to borrow from Forest Gump, ReStore is like a box of chocolates, as you never know what you're going to get when you walk in. And that's one of the things that makes this place so enjoyable, apart from supporting a really good cause. Customer service can be hit and miss, but as it's still COVID time and most folks here are volunteers, it's wise to be kind. When I was here a couple days ago, they weren't taking cash, which IMHO is an unnecessary precaution, as the COVID virus is airborne and the "contaminated" surface on a dollar bill is no worse that anything being sold here). But, they will let you use the bathroom which is just beyond the staff entrance. read more

This is an update to my previous review regarding all the new policies Restore has implemented to reduce customer relations. I just received a text that my Restore loyalty points are about to expire. Not only did the Restore lessen the value of loyalty points I had already earned, but they now have a yearly expiration schedule. If you don't spend $150 before the year's end, you will not achieve your first tier $5 store credit and your points are null and void. Way to go Habitat For Humanity! read more

I love donating house hold items (this past trip it was refrigerator drawers,) because someone may be looking for them and why send it to a landfill if Habitat can use it or someone else? I also have bought a few odds and ends inside and am always surprised at the bargains and items I find. It's a gem for sure and you could spend hours perusing if you have no true intention for being there. Highly recommend it as a place to donate items that might not be able to go elsewhere and for shopping for those same types of items. read more

Like most "non-profits", it seems that their prices are way too high and I'd like to know exactly where the money is going. There have been a few times I've been in and cross checked pricing only to find that they were charging full price and even asking for more that the item would have been if purchased brand new. The items are donated and should be affordable to families within the community. Thier price points are unacceptable. read more

I took a cabinet door that was in good condition and just needed some staining. They refused it and said the store on N. Mississippi might take it. I called that other store and the outgoing message said to bring items in to see if they will take them. Well, I'm not driving the distance unless I'm sure they'll take it. I've lived near here over 5 years and just found this little gem less than half mile from my home. Wow do they have it all! I expected to find old doors and window frames. I found they are very similar to Goodwill, everything I mean everything except for clothing. Unfortunately, that meant some items were overpriced, things I've gotten new on clearance for less money than their used (sometimes heavily used)price. Definitely the place to go when you're missing that one little piece to finish the project, they probably have exactly what you need. And it's right around the corner. read more

I went to drop off 2 pendant lights (brand new in box) and 2 outs lights, well it's Tuesday, I guess they don't take stuff on my day off. Dropped off the pendants anyway and had to take the others to goodwill, the guy won't even look at them. Great store if you want to look at stuff, but forget taking things in! Fun place to shop. Beaverton has way better stuff than Mall 205 store. Furniture and rugs are higher end and reasonably priced. Tools are plentiful and good deals. Some of the building materials are too high and close to new prices. read more

This is the first time I've been in a Habitat for Humanity ReStore (I mistakenly call it Habitat Against Humanity every time...oops!). I was delighted to find this as we're buying our first home together and I'm el cheapo extraordinaire. I can't really buy much just yet since we're still in escrow and just staying in an Airbnb, but I did need to get a door knob/handle and found a brand new one for $6. I will be back once we have a place to take our items too. I love that they have discounts of 25%, 50% and 75% off! My dream! I just can't bring myself to go to Home Depot for every little thing and pay full price. read more

Horrible customer service. You have to chase people down. They pretend not to hear you and honestly feel like they speed up. I've had someone called for me and waited 20 minutes. If I was writing this review 6 months to a year ago, I would have given 5 stars. I was just in the store a couple of weeks ago and I was floored by how ridiculously high the prices now were! A used small microwave for $30 that you could buy brand new for $40???!!! I don't understand where second hand stores feel like they can raise prices as much as retail stores because of inflation. The items were still donated and cost them nothing. A small increase I can understand but not how much EVERYTHING in this store has increased! read more

I like this place, and there are some great deals. I went today and found a $2 item to purchase, but they wouldn't take my cash. Why? Is it a Covid thing? If so, then that's strange since the cashier wasn't wearing a mask, which is way more risky than handling my dollar bills. Please consult a scientist who will explain how viruses work. The power has gone to their head here now that they have this new requirements for the covid-19. I get why they are putting in place the precautions, however you don't need to repeat to me that you close at 6:00p.m. as I stand in line and as I walk in. It appears to me like the employees/volunteers are jumping at the chance to leave as early as possible and to scare people away from even trying to wait to go in. If this is the mentality of the employees why even open? I mean only 15 people at a time in such a large building?! If you want people to come in and purchase items then you all might want to be nicer and stop treating people like you don't want them there or their business. Can you explain the requirements of the hand sanitizer? All these items are DONATED! Which means they came from someone's home where there were germs! So the sanitation of customers hands is pointless. Then you watch the employees that are wearing gloves touching everything including their face then touching the items customers have just touched, again pointless! If you're going to enforce requirements make sure EVERYONE follows it! read more

I'm not even going to give a star rating the experience was so bad. I called about donating a brand new bed. I was told depending on the condition they do accept beds and frames. I loaded it up brought it to their dock unloaded it the guy accepted it but then as I was leaving a young woman said NO they don't accept it. I had to reload it . I called and made a complaint and was talked down to no explanation as to why 2 of their employees got wrong info. I've donated time and a fair bit of money to Habitat but if this is where my time and money is going I'm done. read more

This ReStore has the highest prices of ANY of the other ones I have visited in other parts of the state. We shop at ReStore's state wide on a regular basis, and none of them charge the prices this one does. Also, beware of taking items to donate. They have refused to take good furniture donations from us, as well as NEW building supplies. I am a remodeling contractor and have been donating for many years. I have had more trouble with this one store than any other interactions I've had to make with any other businesses. Every single time I go there there's a different rule, nobody ever knows what's going on, everybody thinks they're in charge, everybody gives different information. They literally told me one thing one day and another the next. They couldn't find their you know what with both hands. It is a massive waste of time because the reality is, depending on the team memeber you get, you may be donating that day or not. They told me today that they only take metal sinks however they would take my ceramic laundry sink to be donated. You're literally contradicting yourself in the same breath. But then again there will be different rules the next visit. I'm done wasting my time trying to do good for others, this place is clearly trying to get in the way of that. I'm never going back and I will encourage people and clients to stay away! What a massive waste! read more

I wanted to donate a loveseat in fine condition (no rips, tears, stains, etc.) I sent photos per Habitat for Humanity's request and they responded with an approval to pickup the loveseat with a $20 charge. The ReStore truck shows up a week later only to reject the sofa saying it was "faded". The pictures I sent clearly showed the fading. They could've said "no" and I would've been fine with that but instead they decided to waste my time. read more

This has become one of my favorite new Homeowner Hangouts. I love that I can go often and still see new merch every time. Stuff moves fast. If you haven't been to a ReStore before, it's sort of like a thrift store - the goods have been donated, with the proceeds of the sales going to Habitat for Humanity. The goods may have been donated by individuals, or they could be brand new products that weren't used by builders or contractors for whatever reason. The potential for a treasure is high. Most of the items are priced amazingly low, with some items being 25% and 50% off the marked price (a 75% off addition to the pricing scheme is coming soon!). You'll find furniture and appliances, along with entire cabinets ready to install, paint, garden stuff, sinks, lighting fixtures, windows, tile, carpet, doors, baseboards/trim - all kinds of goods for your remodel or DIY project. They'll even hold items for 3 business days. It's volunteer-run, so bring your friends if you need to haul stuff outta there, but they do take plastic! They're all over the state, and this has got to be one of my favorites. Only dislike? They're closed on Sundays. read more
