It's unfortunate because I've come here for years since it's very close to my house and I have bought a lot of my gardening tools, my drill, my lawnmower and various items here to support the store, but they are not supportive of me. So I have chosen to go to Ace South where people are kind and understanding they don't laugh at you for your shortcomings on knowledge about Tools, manuals, or items. I didn't grow up learning to do handyman work. I've had to train myself how to do things. And it would be nice if I went to a store where people respected my learning process. However, I don't get that here. With the exception of one person who is very nice. I can't say too much about the other people. It seems they are very close minded and not open to trying to help someone. I've lived in the community over six years. I think I've earned my right to get that now.

Cory, a manager at Ace proceeded to mansplain to me that ​ I chose the wrong rollers for the job . He was unsympathetic and Unapologetic that I would now have to wait for the paint to dry and sand it down and repaint it. I have been living in West Salem for over 30 years and never dealt with anyone so unprofessional and condescending. He must be related to the owner because he has no customer service skills and doesn't care that I was upset about our interaction. I was buying more rollers when I went there.

I was a little confused how to get in so we walked in to the restaurant (The Hive Social) and asked. They let us to the secret stair case and said we'd need to figure out the rest for ourselves. And we did. The portrait swung open and we discovered the coolest bar! The ambiance was very cozy and perfect for our date night. Our server was very friendly and made some suggestions when asked. We ordered a couple rounds of drinks and several small plates to share. They even staggered our apps to not overwhelm our cozy table. Everything was delicious. I ordered a couple cocktails here and both were top notched. The bartender was busy but was still friendly. The vibe here is trendy and definitely a great place to bring a date.
