Firstly, I did not know that there was even a Home Depot here. It isn't really visible from I10 frontage or from Westview and I've passed by plenty of times. It's your general location with a large parking space. The interior is the same as well. While they do seem extremely well staffed, no one is really helping customers out; half of the staff are more like hanging out. The self checkout line situation is also really messy here with a lot of visible frustration. You got one lady flagging people down from walking to the checkout counters and point to a hastily constructed line that's 20 people strong. Meh. Going forward barring major traffic inconvenience, the Lowe's on Bunker Hill seems like the better choice. read more

It's crap, never use Minute Keys or they'll steal your money. I ordered 1 key, the machine made 2 copies, they charged in my credit card 2 copies and I had to throw them away because neither worked. After waiting a long time, a very rude employee answered me. He constantly interrupted me when I was talking and only said that I ordered 2 copies. They will charged you for more key copies than you asked for just to make more money. The customer service is terribly bad, very bad service. read more

We went into this Home Depot on 12/11/24 to purchase a Christmas Tree. First off, the tree selection is amazing, plus the prices are decent. I chose a beautiful Douglas Fur. The Young man, Mario, Who showed us the selection was so sweet and helpful. He wrapped up the tree and put it in the truck for Us. That young Man is the reason I will never buy a Christmas tree from anywhere else from now on. Also, the woman at the outside checkout was also very personable and sweet. Can someone tell me how to get to this Home Depot easier way? Address says Lumpkin. I hate the speed bumps driving from Katy Freeway feeder road. I came here to pick out some plants to replace my suffered plants from last freezing weather. Not to mention last year's winter storm Uri left me nothing to brag about. Last year's replacement died in January. Mother Nature is not easy with me this year. So, I want something hardy with low temperature and drought resistant (I heard it's gonna be pretty hot this summer and water rate is going up). I'm also shopping for a friend's housewarming gift. Amazing to see so many luscious indoor and outdoor plants at the Garden Center. I know if I snoozed at these plants, I'll miss grabbing the best-looking ones. So far so good. Store was organized and full stocked. No issues at the parking lot or anyone on the floor. When I get to cash register line, there was no human cashiers. Self-serve machines were the only ones operational. Some of there were closed. There was no place to line up. When I get to an available machine, I felt rushed. My Home Depot app locked up as I was retrieving my military discount QR code. Employee had a nerve to rush me to get out because there was a long line. Grrr... Not coming back. read more

I am a general contractor I visit Homedepot Daily sometime 3 times a day. I've probably been to every Homedepot in Houston In my 20 years in the industry. Today was the first time I've ever been talked down to and flat out told I will not help u from a Homedepot employee. I've witnessed Patrick in the past talk down to people and have the attitude I'll get to u on my time with people in the past. Today I stood at a unmanned paint counter for 10+ mins with other customers while he talked to another about how to wipe adhesive from a wall with goo gone. When I approached him and asked if he was only person working paint counter he instantly got that I'll get to you when I get to u attitude I'd seen him give other customers in the past. I went back to my spot at front of line then after a few more minutes he's still not done talking about wiping a wall I went to look for mgt. Once he saw me walk off he instantly went to counter to help people behind me in line. When I confronted him he yelled at me and then proceeded to say he will not help me. I must say I saw the poor reviews on this store and I was surprised, until I walked in. I am a fan of Home Depot over the other large chain but this one took me by surprise. I was walking through the store at 8 pm and it was not busy. I could not find what I was looking for or anyone to help me till the paint isle, where I found 3 people. I asked where the French drain covers were since this was a store that I don't frequent and it had a little different layout. Rather then simply answer my question and say isle 14 or 15, or even better yet, practice good customer service and walk me to the product. His answer started out "Well it's not going to be on the paint isle" try 14 or 15. No kidding, it's not going to be in the paint isle being a drainage product. Just what I wanted to hear after roaming a store looking for the product or some service. Then I turned the corner and tripped over a pile of bucket lids that had been knocked over not 20 ft from 3 people that were all on the same isle. It's home depot. You come to expect subpar service and they came through in that area. Looking for someone to help me with a door sill to install beneath my new exterior door. Looked throughout the door section for something like that but couldn't find anything. I saw the guy who is running the door department helping out a customer so I waited until he was done. I know he saw me hovering around a few time. By the time I noticed him free he was moving a door to the end of the aisle away from the door section. I walked towards him, but didn't catch up to him as he rounded the corner. By the time I got to where he was, he was already way down the next aisle, as if he sprinted. He saw me a number of times even while he was moving that door and I have to call out they he was purposefully avoiding me. I yelled out for him and he finally stopped. it was extremely irritating that he could act like that. He told me they kept the sills on another aisle, which is stupid, but that's HD. This kind of unhelpful behavior is why HD will always languish in mediocracy. What they fail to understand is Lowe's is a great competitor and so is Amazon. read more

Honestly not sure who will read this or if anything will come from it. But hopefully can help other home owners and warn them. Basically, we bought a front, French and back doors from Home Depot. Paid for installation as well. The back door has a crack in it, the technician didn't tell us and actually tried to cover it up with paint. I guess he was trying to be sneaky even though the correct thing to do was to deliver a brand new door without a crack. The fact that he tried to cover it up with paint... just doesn't sit well. Very sneaky, shady, and untrustworthy. We also bought French doors. No issues there.. but we also bought a fancy front door. The installer did not paint the sidings. So now, the door area is colored white (door frame) wood (unpainted side railing from the new installation) and black (the actual door). The reasoning behind the unfinished sides-unknown. It was their job to finish the installation properly, hence the additional payment. We called Home Depot to let them know and they just said "oh weird, nothing we can do that they didn't finish". So here we are... buying paint. To finish the job Home Depot could not. Not a great experience. We were lied to, deceived and will no longer be buying doors from here. Please tell your friends and family to spare them this nonsense. read more

This is Patrick, the Home Depot paint associate that Anthony M. posted a poor review on, and this is my side of the story. I was the only paint associate on the clock, and I was helping another customer with his problem. Anthony M. came storming down the aisle and, with a lot of attitude, interrupted my help session as he wanted to be waited on. I told Anthony M. I was involved with this customer, politely asked him to wait for me at the desk, and that I will help him when it is his turn. He left and returned a couple minutes later with the same attitude. Perhaps more forcefully, due to his rudeness, I told him the same. I returned to the desk when I finished helping the customer I was with, not because Anthony M. left. But because Anthony M. was not there, I waited on the gentleman who was. When Anthony M. showed back up, he went on what could best be described as a rant, which included things like: "so now your gonna jump me in line", "your job is to stay behind this desk and dispense paint", "you spent all this time explaining how to get glue off the wall, any dumb*** should know how to do that", "I've seen you in here and you are arrogant, you think you are too good to work here", and if this is not arrogant, I don't what is "I spend more money in here than you make all year" At one point I told him that customers get my undivided attention when it is their turn, just like you will. This was when Anthony M. told me what my job was. At some point I did what I am told to do when a customer becomes belligerent, remove yourself from the situation, which I should have done earlier. So yes, I told him I will not wait on you, you can go find a manager. He continued with remarks while the manager made his order. After Anthony M. left, the two customers I had been helping, and who witnessed the whole thing, expressed disbelief that I had to put up with people like him, and praised me for how I handled myself in that situation. My manager also told me I handled that well. Did I yell at him? I spoke loudly enough so he could hear me over his ranting. read more

I went in to purchase a portable air conditioner. I found the one I wanted and had to move another air conditioner to get to it. I did that, got the one I wanted, struggled to get it on the cart. Meanwhile 2 employees were not more that 10 feet from me , were aware , they were chatting it up and never offered to help. I am of small stature and I was clearly struggling. I was not about to ask for help if they weren't going to offer. Seems the conversation with a buddy was more important. I tried to call the store to tell them my concerns and I was on hold for almost 30 minutes and never got a representative. read more

This store has issues has multiple issues that need to be addressed . First off , me and my business partner had a very bad run in with one of the "supervisors" named jimmy. He was VERY rude and disrespectful and even yelled at my business partner. I have never seen anything like before at ANY store in my life . Secondly they a cutting machine that is COMPLETELY unattended. I sat for 30 min waiting for my wood to be cut after asking several different workers for help . There was a guy before me that was waiting even longer . There needs to be structure implemented in this location because it's not customer friendly at all . If I could give the customer service a zero star I would, I spent half my sat trying to get someone to help me reschedule my installation service. After calling 5 times, being put on hold for 20 to 30 min at a time, I was so over it. They would keep transferring me to many different departments, no one seemed to know how to help me. I didn't think it would be so difficult to simply reschedule my appointment. BUT after 4 hours of back and forth, someone promising to call me back to no avail, I find out that on sat they can't do that on a weekend. That I have to wait until Mon to do it, I asked him, no one from the many employees knew that, instead of wasting my time. Mostly this tall black girl at Paint area, stern, rude as can be, like I am suppose to please her helping me. This place is very stressful for me to get help. I am only pointing to one person not some employees. I like the Home Depot by I-10 close to Chimney Rock. They are professional, friendly, and very helpful. Horrible customer service desk except for Steve he always helps me professionally, and friendly cashiers.

This is the perfect place to come to get rude service. Came in to get a quick key copy on my lunch break. The lady helping me was extremely nice to the lady in front of me, but when I walked up after and said "Hello!" she just let out a snicker, no greeting back. "I'd like a copy of this key please." She grabs my key off the counter with her monstrous grip, shoves my key in the machine and turns it on. She tells me "I'll be right back" with a unenthusiastic look, walks a few steps away and yelps to her colleague "girl, I need to take my break". Needless to say she left me there stranded for 20 minutes before what I'm guessing was the floor manager asked me if I needed anything. Another associate who was obviously agitated at the fact that she had to leave her previous task to tend to the line of folks waiting to get their keys copied. There are other options with much better customer service close to this location. read more
