Absolutely abysmal customer service. I bought a fire pit and the tag CLEARLY said $149. When I got the receipt I was charged $165 plus tax for a total of $180 after tax. Young man named Muhammed was checking me out in the Garden Center. I politely stated "the tag says $149". He responded "Yep". Confused I showed him the receipt and said, " I was charged $165. The tag says $149". Again he responded "yep". I asked him why he kept saying yep and he responded "yep, it charged you too much. I guess go talk to people in there" pointing to the main building. Fantastic home depot!!! You walk in for a lightbulb and leave with 14 feet of PVC pipe, a new door, two suspiciously sexy sawhorses, and an unexplained desire to start a chicken coop. Every aisle is an adventure -- lumber smells like testosterone, paint samples flirt with your commitment issues, and the tile section? Don't even get me started. The employees? One moment you're asking where the drywall anchors are, and next thing you know, you're in aisle 37, knees weak, learning about load-bearing walls and rethinking your entire life structure. 10/10 recommend. read more

Order: WN24708583 - Samsung Bespoke Washer & Dryer Date of Purchase: July 4, 2025 Home Depot and Samsung have completely failed me. I've now gone through FOUR separate delivery attempts -- July 12, 17, 23, and 29 -- and every single time, the appliance arrived damaged. We're talking visible dents in the same spot (near the drain pump filter) and even a dryer door that wouldn't close. Here's what I've had to endure: * Missed 3 full days of work waiting for these failed deliveries. * Tried to cancel after the first botched delivery, but a Home Depot rep convinced me to stay by offering a better price. That was a mistake. * After the second fail, I mysteriously got a cancellation email I never initiated -- support told me to "ignore it." Meanwhile, the order kept going... and kept arriving damaged. * The final delivery (July 29) came with a huge dent and a non-functional door. That was it. I asked for a refund, only to be told I had to go to a store in person to process it -- even though I bought it online. I've been without a washer/dryer for weeks and forced to pay out of pocket for laundromats -- on top of this circus of poor service. The customer service has been chaotic, misleading, and infuriating. I've been transferred repeatedly, given false info, and offered zero real solutions. At this point, I'm demanding: 1. The original order delivered properly, 2. At half the original price (minimum), 3. With white glove delivery, setup, and inspection before acceptance. Do better, Home Depot and Samsung. I went to this Home Depot store on 8/7/2024 at around 9:00 AM. I usually don't mind going to this Home Depot store, but this might be the last time I go to this particular store. I say this because I needed 3 pieces of 2X4's, I had to grab almost 20 pieces to find 3 good pieces. Almost all of them either had cracks, were bent, had chunks missing, or had edges rounded off. Not to mention the service was mediocre at best. The cashier was nice, but the associates working the lumber department were pretty rude. I hope upper management sees this, because at this rate, I'd rather do business across the street at Lowe's, because they have better overall products and service. read more

I came looking for established vegetable plants to plant in the garden. I found a couple of different varieties of tomatoes, bought 4 plants and was on my way. They also had lots of tomatoes and egg plant and several varieties of hot peppers. I was hoping that there would be a bigger selection of different vegetables, but I was shopping on a Monday afternoon and it's possible that they sold a lot over the weekend. The cashier at the outdoor area, Francesca, was super friendly and quick. She pointed out doing a survey located at the bottom of the receipt and I could win a chance to get a $5,000 HD gift card. I love shopping at Home Depot because my experience has been better in-store service than Lowe's. Now I'm not sure. I think I left my drivers license and credit card there. So I call. And a nice Lady Paula kept transferring me to a ringing phone they nobody answered. I just asked if they had a lost and found. I live 30 minutes away. So now I need to drive there because nobody could even say "yes we have a lost and found" or "Let me look" or "sorry we are just too busy to help anybody on the phone. I'm told the managers were "probably in a meeting". Every manager and district Manager should have to call their own place of business and see how they get treated. It was great walking into this store being welcomed by the young man in the Service Desk. While shopping I was asked by several employees of if I needed assistance (I did not). THEN the manager MICHAEL was the friendliest store employee we've come across in any store lately. His manners, his carisma, he was so very kind, asking me and others if we needed any help. I bought a bbq grill from this Home Depot back in May. Since they told me the assembly person is only at the store one day a week I opted for the "free" assembly they offered instead of delivery. When we got home after a harrowing drive with the pit loosely tied down in the back of my truck we got it out and opened it and the grill had rust on it. I called the store and was told it was indeed not a new out of the box grill but a floor model that had been outside at various times. I asked for manager and they said pretty much yea just bring it back and we will replace it. This really upset me. I specifically didn't have it delivered because I couldn't get anyone to confirm if it could be delivered assembled. I knew I could not assemble it. Then to wait and get a a grill in sub par shape was ludicrous to me. Then to be asked to bring it back! 4 guys had to put that grill in my truck! I asked for the GM number and no one seemed to know it. I reached out to Hone Depot on Twitter and was told to reach out to the store. Finally several months later I reached out to corporate and got a response. Things got really hectic at work with Covid so Corporate and I played phone tag for a bit. We finally were able to have corporate reach out to the store and they discounted my grill to a satisfactory amount. Generous even. I let corporate know about the additional poor customer service I had with that store. What I did learn is that the store is individually owned, corporate cannot make the decision for the outcome but did intervene quite judiciously on my behalf and I am very grateful for the outcome of that. If they would have told me at the get go hey this is a floor model we can give you a discount I would have been open to it. But just to try to pass it off as new was a low blow. I am happy with the outcome but should not have had to spend all that time to make it right. read more

Edited review: I am now thoroughly convinced that the people at Home depot are part of a community, willing to listen, help, and do whatever it takes to keep the League City and surrounding area supplied to the best of their abilities. These people are legitimately courteous, respectful, and overall willing to go above and beyond what is necessary to get a job done. This last week I had a problem with my recently purchased Tuff shed. My review with them will remain the same because they only fixed the problem when coerced by a major company, not because it was the right thing to do. They just didn't want their contract with Home depot jeopardized. I get it. But as a consumer, I judge their motivations, and they aren't ethical. The manager at Home depot Listened to me when I called. He heard me, understood that this was not an acceptable problem with a shed that was less than a month old, and got on the problem right away. He called Tuff Shed Corporate office and advocated on my behalf. Got a hold of people I could never dream of speaking to. Rattled some cages. Got something done. Within a few hours, he had someone out to fix my shed- THAT DAY. What a guy. That is why I changed my review. I debated whether to leave my old review up or not, but I decided that if you wanted to read on, to see the issue and how upset I was, and how grateful I am at having a manager go out of his way (not having any clue about this review, by the way, he was just doing his job) to help out a customer who had been wronged by a company that they were partnering with, a company who was sending representatives to sit out in their parking lot day in and day out, saying hi to people, shake hands in good faith, and then swindle people right under their noses, that you should have the right to see it. I always get excellent service with Home Depot off of HWY 646 & I- 45 because they help me to get the best items for my needs. They wait with me at Ck out with bulk items so they can also help me to put my bulk items into my vehicle unlike Lowe's across the street who leave you confused as to what items I would need for what I needed to do. I had entered their store because I couldn't find the color stain I needed and additional items I needed at Home Depot. -I finally got someone to help me after several minutes but they left me confused as to which items I needed to buy. Home Depot would have helped me further in determining which items would be most suitable for what I needed. I was so very upset that I was not helped in securing exactly what I needed. -So I went to WalMart next door and found a few items with the help from an a few great associates there. yeah Walmart -With my Home Depot, I am always helped from start to finish with confidence that I purchased the correct items for what I needed and sometimes with instructions on how to use the item I purchased. I used to be a major Home Depot fan and would never shop at Lowe's. Now, I can say that I split it pretty evenly. It really depends on what I am looking for. If I need a specific brand, I have the tendency to shop at HD. The one thing I really like about this location is the tool rental department. I have rented tillers, plumber snakes, and yard aerators. Every tool I have ever rented at HD has worked perfectly and helped me get the job done that I was trying to do. I really like the fact that I can rent tools for four hours vs all day. There are many times that I do not need them more than four hours and can return them and save some rental money. Personally, the biggest downfall about this specific store is the location. It is located on the southeast corner of FM 646 and I-45. Lowe's is located on the northeast corner of the same intersection. Simply put, Lowe's is easier to get to from my house. Sometimes, it simply comes down to convenience of location as to which store I decide to go to. I simply don't see enough differences to pick one over the other for generic items. read more

I spent almost an hour just trying to get connected to someone and then they kept putting the phone down and walking away. You could here them in the background just ignoring the phone. DON'T BUY YOUR CARPET FROM HOME DEPOT. I had a horrible experience. We bought almost 1500 sq ft of carpet from them. We bought a cheaper grade of carpet with the super thick, waterproof padding. We paid nearly $5k. The carpet was sold to us with free furniture moving and haul off the old carpet and padding for free as stated in the contract. They were more than a couple of competitors with cheaper prices, but with them moving the furniture and hauling off the old carpet for free, they got our business. Their in-store sales pitch was "no hidden costs, no surprises." Well, SURPRISE! First, when the measurer showed up, there were 7 or 8 things we had to move ourselves, or else there would be an upcharge. Well, ok, we said we'd move those (and we did). In preparation for the installation, we cleared out the closets, the drawers & cabinets, everything on and in all of the tables bookcases, furniture, etc. We put everything in about 30-40 plastic totes. We disassembled the beds. Anything that could be taken apart, we took apart to make it as easy as possible. We spent about a week preparing for the install. On the day of the installation, the installers showed up bright and early Friday morning (9:30am). There were only 2 of them to install almost 1500 sq ft of carpet in a fully-furnished house (first red flag). First thing they did was look around the house and tell us that if my 2 sons & 2 their friends (all 23-24), & I didn't move the furniture, they'd cancel the installation and leave. WHAT??!? They broke the terms of the contract. They just decided. They had us over the barrel, so we agreed. So we moved the furniture and they installed the carpet (to be fair, they moved exactly ONE piece of furniture...we moved all the rest). Next, they told me they weren't going to haul off the carpet. WHAT??!? Again...they broke the terms of the contract. I called my garbage collection company and told them what I had...they said that they would only haul off a little each week. I pulled out the contract and showed the installer that he was supposed to haul it off. He said he was told not to haul it off. WHAT??!? Next, he told me that his paperwork didn't say he was supposed to haul it off. Then, an hour later, he took a picture of a small 3'x3' piece of carpet that had an old Hawaiian Punch stain (about 5 years old), and said that was "soiled carpet" and that was why they wouldn't haul it off.....wow. At 5:30, I noticed an email from the installation company saying that the installers had finished the install (they were still upstairs w/ 3 rooms left to go), and that the company wanted me to give them an "extremely satisfied" rating....YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!! At about 6:00 that evening, they said they'd haul off the carpet (I think they didn't want to leave it behind for me take in their "soiled piece" and expose their fabricated excuse. My sons and their friends loaded most of the carpet into the back of their van. At 6:30, the installer informed me that the reason they wouldn't move the furniture was that the terms of their contract was they would only move 4-6 pieces of furniture per room. WHAT??!? Ok, first, they didn't move ANY of the furniture (ok, 1 piece in the entire house). Second, when I called the installation company to complain, they were closed. Well, they installers finally finished up and left at 8:45 pm. They left small carpet strips in several rooms, and didn't vacuum the last few rooms. So, they didn't clean up, either. So to review, 2 installers showed up at 9:30am, and installed carpet until 8:45pm. They didn't move furniture (like they were supposed to), they didn't load up the old carpet in the back of the van (my sons did), and they didn't clean up the area after they were done. I went to Home Depot on Saturday morning to complain. The manager, Diane, said that the installers were closed, and to come back Monday. So, I came back Monday, and again, spoke with the manager, Diane. She took my paperwork into the back office, was gone about 10 minutes, and came back out telling me that they wouldn't move the furniture because of the 4-6 pieces per room rule. I asked Diane to show me where it said that. She went to the "exceptions" page and said it was there. I looked, and asked again for her to show me. She just waved her hand over the whole page and told me it was all in those rules. A third time, I asked her to specifically show me. She changed the subject and told me that they weren't going to haul off the carpet because it was soiled. She said she "saw the picture". I told her the Hawaiian Punch story and she just looked at me and said she wasn't there. After that, she said nothing else and just waited for me to leave. AVOID BUYING YOUR CARPET FROM HOME DEPOT!!! They seem like a good deal, but in the long run, they charge you more than anyone else, and they don't do all of the extra things that they are supposed to do to justify their higher prices. read more

There is a female manager there that is awful! We purchased a few appliances. In store. Picked them out and said this is what I want and the person rang us up. We also asked about delivery because our house was under construction. They said we could push it back as much as we wanted. Get it delivered and it's the wrong fridge. Same fridge. Same name. But the one we wanted had the ice and water maker. The version we got did not. Called and Francesca was super helpful and awesome. She said to refuse the delivery and come up to the store. So I did. Then I got the manager. Who quite rudely wanted to know why we pushed our delivery back and how we didn't check the receipt better. I explained the receipt had multiple appliance purchases and the name of the fridge was correct on the receipt. (Got it on Black Friday sale). She then told me that the only thing she could do was sell me a new one at the new sale price ($1000 more than Black Friday). She said first the warehouse would have to get it back. Asked how long that would take and she gave me a rude look and said she couldn't tell me. Asked what happens if the sale ends before they call me. She said nothing she could do about that. Sale ends when it ends. She also said some other rude things and chatted with the customer next to me while having the conversation. Clearly showed my problem was not her concern. Called corporate and was told that she pretty much lied and she could have and should have offered me a discount for everything that happened. And also that the warehouse always gets items back that night after all the deliveries are made and that any manager should know that. We initially went to Lowe's and they couldn't cut the lumber for us but Home Depot was like "@$&! yeah, we'll do it for you!" We were needing some lumber cut for us so we could complete our patio table. Because we live in an apartment, we don't have the tools to do it ourselves. Lowe's was not friendly and said they couldn't cut wood for us at 17", though I'm not sure why that was a problem. We left and came to this Home Depot. The gentleman in the lumber section was very friendly and helped us find pieces with clean edges as well as measured and cut the lumber for us! We were in and out in 20 minutes. This is review is for the Kids Workshops that are held on the first Saturday of the month. I attend these workshops with my 6 year old and he absolutely loves them. Today we made/assembled the NASCAR #20 Home Depot car. The assembly was simple and fun for kids. It involved gluing a couple of pieces together and some hammering of nails to secure the glued pieces. This month's project did not include painting like last month's project, but never the less it was still fun for the kids. In my opinion the only downside to the Kids Workshop is that Chick-fil-A must sponsor these workshops so the past two times I have been there is always a representative from Chick-fil-A passing out coupons and other related content. That is not the downside, the downside to me is that the Chick-fil-A cow also comes along for a visit and just walks around the work area trying to engage with the kids while we are trying to work on a project together. It can be distracting at times since the cow will sometimes just sit next to the kids desiring their attention. If ignored long enough the cow will just move to the next table and try to interact with another set of kids. This is a great free program that The Home Depot provides for the community. All the kids that I see participating seem to all have a good time including my son. read more

After my home was flooded in Hurricane Harvey I purchased carpet and quartz countertops at this Home Depot. Needless to say neither one of these products were installed in my home. When I purchased my carpet I selected and paid for the premium padding because it was a better fit for my wife who has arthritis. Come install day they show up with the cheapest padding that they sell. First the installer claimed to have spoken with my wife by phone and said that she okay'd the change (when my wife called they told her that they spoke with me by phone and that I had okay'd the change); then when confronted with their lies they said that the padding we ordered wasn't in stock and that we would have to wait until it was in stock. They could not give us an estimated time period and since we had been waiting for over a month by then we cancelled the order. We ordered the same carpet and padding across the street at Lowe's and it was special ordered and installed within two weeks. My wife fell in love with the quartz at Home Depot for our kitchen countertops and the price seemed reasonable enough. Over a month after we purchased the countertops they finally called to come out and set up a measurement and draw the template for install. We were told to have the sink on site so that they could take it with them to adhere to the countertop. The first measurer came out and after spending two and a half hours in my kitchen measuring and drawing out layouts said that he could not complete the measure because the sink was not installed. He stated that he would be going out of town for the rest of the week but would return when he got back to complete the measurement if we were through. Apparently he had completed enough of the install to know that it would be an additional $600.00 on top of the $6,000.00 that we had paid for the countertops. I didn't hear anything from them until three weeks later. After three weeks of unanswered phone calls my wife finally got a hold of someone at the installer's office. They said that we would need to do the measurement all over again. When asked why it took them three weeks to tell us this they said that they had just found out that day from their measurer. Two weeks later, the second measurer came to my house. He tore apart my cabinets removing the plywood that was installed on them (which had been installed and okay'd by the first measurer) and then said that they would not install the countertop because the now damaged cabinet was 1/8 of an inch off in level. I noted that their first measurer and my contractor did not note anything wrong with the level of the cabinets and the company said that it did not matter. So after wasting nearly three months of my time, without countertops and a kitchen because I was waiting on them I have to start all over again! I called Home Depot to expedite my refund and compensation for the cabinets that they ruined and was brushed off and told that I would get a call back. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere read more

We had a delivery on a refrigerator that was damaged, Home Depot did great on replacing it, but the delivery men were lazy, they brought in the new refrigerator and removed none of the packing tape. I asked that the remove it and was told - it's not my job! Trying to get into the tight places is difficult for someone our age. Top that off with an employee who didn't have/wear a mask! Workers are really nice and helpful. The store needs improvement. There is always something blocking the way on many aisles. Stock always seems kind of low too. I went to get new lighting and inventory was pretty low. read more

So Home Depot just lost a very good customer! We bought nearly $8k in appliances to be delivered today, but their corporate office decided to change my delivery date, without my consent, because one item was on back order. They gave my delivery time slot to someone else and have decided that inconveniencing me is my problem. Needless to say, I have cancelled the entire purchase and will be closing our credit account there as well. read more

We moved into a new house and were in need of a new refrigerator. I went to Lowes and then to Home Depot to compare the prices. I got a better deal at Home Depot. The day of delivery I was told the window was noon - 4pm. I waited all day and the delivery guys got to our house at 4:30pm. The refrigerator was damaged. The delivery guy called the warehouse and they had to order another one. They could not get that one delivered until 1/31. This happened on 12/19 so that would mean Christmas with no refrigerator. delivery guy was very nice and it was not his fault but it was still very annoying. I called the store and spoke to a person in customer care who actually told me she was going on vacation and would leave a note for someone else to take care of it. What?? I went back to Lowes and got a refrigerator delivered the next day. Moral of the story is $100 isn't worth the aggravation and wasted time dealing with employees more concerned with their vacation time. Shop at Lowes. read more

Horrible service. Manager does not care about Home Depot customers at this store. Have spent over $20,000 at Home Depot in last 3 months and they would not allow me to return an single item without my drivers license. Had the receipt and my card I used to purchase item. This should be all they need. Absolutely ridiculous!! Manager was indifferent about it. Not smart on one of your loyal customers. I can say I will not be shopping there anymore. read more

I love this Home Depot. They always are very helpful and I have found some of the best prices here on palm trees as well as other plants.
