OUT FREAKING STANDING! Jorge and company were the first to call me after a "Project" was set up with Yelp and I am very super glad they were... The second hand Whirlpool refrigerator / freezer side by side had been acting up for a week and after two other appliance repair shops had completely stood the silly roommate up; I went on Yelp to find someone who would show up. Jorge kept his word on arrival time and after getting a good look at the unit offered timely advice and Superb! repair - such as it was... the unit didn't need repair - it needed maintenance that neither I nor the roommates had thought about after Beryl had thawed everything. He kept us informed about what he planned to do and after that changed - these things happen - the increased cost was quite reasonable AND would be applied to a future repair on this unit if Jorge turned out to be wrong about what was needed...he wasn't. I needed a repair for what is universally known to be the worse icemaker ever made, the Samsung refrigerator icemaker. The last time I needed it repaired (it has needed to be repaired multiple times) Samsung was forced to cover it under extended warranty because of a class action lawsuit but that expired in March and they wanted to charge me $200 before even coming to my house. Had two dryer repairs done, one at my Mom's house and one at my residence: one Maytag, one GE dryer. Jorge replied on Yelp within 10 minutes of my initial request for help with these two issues. We communicated a few times by text, and he even called me once before coming out. By narrowing down the issues with the information I provided him he was able to go to parts house, select the parts he would need, and he was able to perform both technical repairs in about 30-45 minutes each. Jorge was very knowledgeable in the issue with our Washer. He showed us what was wrong, and didn't make us fix it with him to end up having to buy another one. He even made suggests on best low cost washers with the agitators are better than new ones that often have issues. When I saw one I liked, I sent him the specs and he said it was the best one. Theres a review in here that says he is knowledgeable but if you aren't careful, you can be taken advantage of. I think that is 100% true in my case. I think he knows how to fix things, knows appliances, but will quote outrageous prices for parts and labor - you might as well just buy a new appliance at that point. read more
