I'm here quite often to pick up something. My experience has been much better since I have installed the app on my phone. I can fine items quickly as the app tells you which isle and section to look. I can scan bar code for prices and more information. There is never a worker available when you need one and they only look up the item on their handheld device. They do have some good sales but are not advertised where I ever see them. The app also gives veterans a discount. read more

I recently bought an old used queen size headboard and footboard for my granddaughters bedroom. There weren't any slats in it so I needed what they call a bunkie board. Because the bed was built before bunkie boards were around, the bunkie boards I found were not the right size. So I decided to make my own slats from a sheet of plywood. So I headed for Home Depot. I went to the lumber area and the gentleman there told me that plywood had really gone up in price. He showed me a piece from a manufacturer that had not raised their prices yet. It was almost $20 less than the others I saw. It cost me $49 and they cut the sizes I needed for free. The Lowes store I sometimes go to does not cut wood; they have a machine but any time I have needed something cut their machine was down. Home Depot loaded it into my car for me and it worked perfectly. I was also able to pick up a light fixture for my bathroom for $29. Really a good deal. I appreciate the service I received at this store. I was in and out quickly and got just what I needed at a good price. read more

Here is some big advice, Download there app & check prices. Make sure price is right. Online pricing isn't same. It save me $400 on my purchase. I use the one on Harrodsburg Road. Impossible to find anyone to wait on you or even to find someone to tell you no they can't help you. I bought a microwave up there recently. They couldn't find anyone to carry it out there was some young lady that worked there that was able to help me with that finally. If you want a self service store, this is where to go from the time you enter until the time you leave. By the way, they had one microwave that was in stock. Supposedly they had sold out at Christmas. This is two months later! read more

Just a bunch of work less employees and cashiers with attitude. I went in there to buy some drywall needed help loading into the trailer. Out of 10 employees only one of them help me out, and he had a bad shoulder harder worker than all of them together. read more

Three weeks later and the point-of-sale is still garbage. Registers two feet away from each other operate differently to the point you have to choose using one that doesn't work due to "the rain" (hilarious that a hardware store is trying to push off lack of employee knowledge of how technology works on a changing atmosphere), or wait in a 30 minute because there is still only one self-(assisted-because "customers are stupid")check out available. So DUMB. Now I have to factor in the cost of goods with an added gas per diem just so I can go to a functional store. read more

Just ripped my toe on the shopping cart at Home Depot. The employee didn't have any bandages, nor did he seem concerned. I asked for some paper towels so I wouldn't bleed everywhere. My toe is throbbing. Not a good experience. At least I got some plants in gardening. read more

It's getting so bad. I understand the young inexperienced work force not knowing things but there is no explanation for poor, rude service and the enormous amount of clutter. My favorite part was asking for an associate who could cut wood for me. I was told go check in lumber, to that I replied I did, but there is nobody there, can you please call somebody? I've gone here a few times now. When going in the store to ask for help, there were several young workers who refused to help, and one just half waved in the direction to go. It's super frustrating not being able to find something, and the workers not being willing to help. The cashier was super friendly to my male appearing friend who made a purchase before me, and didn't try to get him to sign up for anything. But when I, a female appearing person came to the register, he kept trying to get me to sign up for a credit card. This is extremely sexist and not okay. They did have what I needed. I found it to be easier purchasing online ahead of time, and doing curbside pickup. read more

This is one of the two Lexington Home Depot locations. This one is located off of Harrodsburg Rd., sort of on the corner of Lane Allen. Do you remember the old Turfland Mall? Well, this is at the end of what used to be that mall locale. It's a new year and I have new resolutions. Home improvement is on the top of that list. We had a host of things on our list and headed to HD. I wasn't surprised to find several of the items on our list weren't in stock, or they just don't carry them there. Why? It's just as big as Lowes. So, we headed over to Lowes and low and behold, Lowes had everything that HD was missing. Step it up Home Depot. I'd like to have a one-stop home improvement store. read more

We come here when our go to store is out of what we need. Its a second playground for my husband...haha I get annoyed that they do not have as many options as the other business for the home but not a bad alternative. Sometimes the staff is hard to locate...reminds me of that commercial of the woman getting excited she finally found someone only to discover its not his department and is no help...that is basically is how I feel.. I like that they have a family restroom though...makes it easier on the parents that are shopping alone with multiple children that need to go potty. read more

I purchased cabinets, countertops, appliances, and installation from Home Depot over two months ago. I did my own demo and have been waiting for missing cabinet pieces for weeks only to find that they were never ordered. Now have to wait 4 more weeks!!! No one at the store accepts responsibility as my kitchen is half finished...taking many weeks longer than necessary. I would never recommend spending a penny here- take your money to Lowe's. read more

We placed a pick up order at the Turfland Mall location in Lexington, KY. A portion of the order was for a qty: 36 of 2x2x8 lumber. When we received them only 12 pieces were straight, and the other 24 were so warped they were unusable. It seemed the pieces picked the store was trying to get rid of, because of how warped they were. Terrible customer service. We were trying to social distance as best we could by placing the pickup order during the pandemic. We had hoped that the thought put in to picking our order wouldn't have been so disregarded. When I called to ask if they could pick the additional 24 pieces the employee was unwilling and rude. An additional trip will need to be made back to the store to exchange the warped pieces. Wasted time, gas, and an unnecessary trip...especially if the order would have been picked correctly the first time. Very disappointing read more

Went to home depot to. As i do often. Had some flooring on sale for 49 CENTS a square foot. Try to buy some flooring guy said he would have to order it online for me .then when checking the price went up to 99 cents a square foot. Idk why the price would be different. So ask to speak to manager. He said no manager working today in this department. So i went to front desk.ask for manager.they was one working. Was told the same thing. Online only. My complaints is if the price is listing they should have to get offline for the same price. Or give you another floor for that piece. Lowes just gained a customer.... read more

Needed to pick up some hardware for a project I am doing at home so I went to Home Depot. The staff was very helpful. I was able to get the items I needed quickly and efficiently. I also spotted some great indoor plants that will help usher in the feeling of Spring before it's warm enough outside to call it Spring. Also their new self checkout system is great. My husband and I needed a new, relatively inexpensive, washing machine. We tried Lowe's first. The machines they had in stock didn't suit our needs. Then we tried the Home Depot on Richmond Road. We found the washer we wanted, only to discover that it wasn't in stock. We were told this location had eight in stock, though. We were able to get exactly what we wanted here. They seemed to be understaffed. We had to wait quite awhile for assistance. All the employees did seem legitimately busy, though. When we checked out, we asked for help loading it into our truck. No one came. Eventually, two cheerful cashiers volunteered to help us. I'm doing laundry now. Thanks, Home Depot! read more

Went in to store to buy flooring for our kitchen . Told the guy we wanted to tear up the old floor and then put down the new floor. He told us what it entailed and we told him great ,"Let's do it." The lady came out to measure the floor and tell is how much she would order for us. Then told us, the guys would come out on Monday to pull up the floor and Tuesday to put down the new floor. We paid the bill. The materials came by a different truck, not a home depot truck. Left outside in the rain, not brought into house like we were told it would. Waited several weeks before someone could come out and do the floor. When the date came around, the guys told us they were supposed to put the new floor on top of the old floor. We said, no. And made the take up the old floor. They came back the next morning and put the new floor down. Floor looks good. Love it. However, now the flooring place is charging an additional $266 after we thought we were told it was included. The original price was $850. Now they want more money! We were set up and ripped off! read more

I just needed a key made and planned on buying a replacement door knob for a room in my house. Stood in front of the key machine for 5 mins, employees walking by me not asking if I needed anything, so I went to the customer service counter, more employees than customers standing there... stated I needed a key cut and was told they would call someone over. After standing at the key machine another 10 mins, I decided I'd just hit Lowe's up the next day for what I need, at least Lowe's will give me a veteran's discount. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is I saw the girl in appliances busting her butt taking care of people. read more

I ordered a part for our kitchen faucet on January 16th from the Lexington Turfland store and received an email a few days later stating that the item had been delivered to the store and that we should wait for a pickup email. We waited, and waited. Called the store a few times and were told that the item couldn't be found. On February 4th we cancelled the order. (Thinking that maybe the Turfland store is just poorly managed we've reordered the item from the Lexington store on Richmond. See update below.) Giving HD the benefit of the doubt because the part requested in the previous order may have been lost due to its small size we made the mistake of placing an order on January 23rd. This time for a large metal bed frame. We were notified that the item had been delivered to the store on February 1st. We waited again, told that the item should be available on February 8th. My husband called this morning. First he was told that the item can't be found, the computer shows that the staff of that department hasn't touched the item yet even though it has been in the store for a week, then he was told that it actually was never delivered to the store. We've cancelled that order also and have ordered one from Lowes that should be delivered to our home next week. It cost less and has free home delivery. We're done with Home Depot. Update: It's the Turfland Store that needs fixing. We got notice today that the item ordered from the store on Richmond in Lexington has our item ready for pickup. When the ice melts in a day or two we'll go pick it up. read more

This used to be the best store like this in town. We have lived around the corner for about 12 years and as homeowners this has been a regular stop. We have spent more money at this store than I want to even think about, and I used to refer so many people to their helpful staff for appliances and paint. Over the last year or two it's been very different. I've had salespeople actually walk the other way when I approach them to ask a question, or ask and one actually respond " I don't know" and make no attempt to find someone else who did. I had a flooring salesman loose a huge job from us because I made three separate attempts to come in and ask a few basic questions, only to be treated rudely and wait forever. I've had a garden sales person on several occasions rudely respond to the most basic questions about plants. I've had several customer service jobs and this place infuriates me when I go there. And unfortunately I will still go because when you are in the middle of a home project and it's less than a mile away you aren't going to drive across town to the Lowe's. I just wish they'd return to their previous quality of customer service. read more

I went in the store today to do a truck rental. The gentleman at the customer service desk was somewhat rude. Guy was probably mid 30's, skinny build and a 5 o'clock shadow. He explained to me in an autoratative manner that truck needs to be cleaned out upon returning it. I politely explained that I'm not an adolescent and I fully intend on bringing it back in proper fashion. When returning the truck I explained to a very nice young lady my experience with the young man I had just a few hours before. And I explained that I felt this person could and should work on his mannerisms with customers. She knew exactly who I'd dealt with as soon as I started talking about his rude demeanor! She assured me my complaint would be passed on to upper management. She also discounted my rental for the aggravation I incurred earlier with the young man. I was very prepared to give only a one star before returning the rental. However there's always a bad apple, in every barrel. For anyone that may have a similar experience! Just walk away from rude behavior and address it with another associate. There's plenty of good people in this world that's ready to make your experience the way it should've been at the start. read more

Today we ventured to Home Depot to check out the gardening section, they had a great selection and we were able to find what we were looking for. We needed to trim down some of the lumber that we bought--normally they charge you for that but the guy helping us said we were nice so free of charge I don't frequent this store but my boyfriend prefers this store (and location) against any other in Lexington. This is a pretty standard Home Depot. I don't think we've ever had any employee here go out of their way to help us find anything. They usually just tell you approximately what aisle to find something in, rather than walking over with you. In the event that the item is not, in fact, in the aisle they suggested, it's a little frustrating to have to hunt for another employee to help. They do have a great selection of items, and I always like taking a spin through their garden section. The flowers are taken care of so aren't generally in terrible condition. It can get pretty busy on the weekends, so if crowds aren't your thing, try an off time during the week! read more

I recently had ordered laminate flooring for one of our rental property and had to special order the nose rounder for the stairs. After my order came in I realized I needed one more. I was unable to order it online not sure why however Sarah in Flooring said There is showing one in the Louisville location and she will be going over there that weekend and offered to pick it up return it to the Lexington Home Depot for me to purchase. It's a major hardware store. You can find just about anything you need for the home. I do wish there were more knowledge employees floating around. I've had to hunt one down most times I've needed help. We live close, so we come here most often. I think I'm more of a Lowes guy, but it gets the job done. read more

The home depot. What is there to say but it is a huge hardware store. If you need stuff to fix stuff come here. They have it hear but dont come here expecting a lot of help from the staff there are a few good ones I'm sure but most people don't know where half the stuff is, but then again who could possibly know all that stuff. Went in for a re-do of a bathroom and they recommended ReBath. We had them out and selected them. Big Mistake. Workmanship was OK for some things but final detailed work and cleanup was atrocious. Not just at completion but during the whole 5 month process. Home Depot in general no matter of location is off my list. read more
