Some of the best service I've had at Home Depot and strangely was right before close. Had just moved in to my house and the power hadn't been turned on so last minute went to Home Depot. Guy named LJ jumped in and took me to what I needed and was explained the options. Super proactive and helpful. The guy running the self-checkout was really friendly as well. I ordered some items for curbside pickup around 4:30 on a Thursday. The site told me it would be ready within 2 hours. I arrived at a bit after six to grab a few small items in store. Then we parked curbside and waited. And waited. And waited. Never got the notice it was ready, so I went into the app to check the status and it said curbside pickup was until 6 PM. I wasn't told that when I ordered, but okay. Not the store's fault, I guess. So the next day I'm waiting on the notice that it's ready for pickup. And I'm waiting. And waiting. And waiting. I finally get a notice about midday that one item was out of stock and I'd get a refund. Okay, so back to waiting for the rest. I wait. And wait. And wait some more. And finally 24 hours after the initial order I give up and cancel. What happened to it being ready in two hours? And how does two hours become over 24?? I'm so furious. I would have just gotten them all in store if they hadn't been heavier items that we needed help loading into the car because I have a hernia and my husband had spinal fusion surgery and neither of us can lift much. I definitely would never recommend ordering pickup from this location and I'll just go to Lowe's from now on. read more

The staff are amazing. Always friendly and helpful. I see a lot of the same staff so turnover isn't too bad. My only issue is with some of the products like holiday items. We decided to invest in a Xmas animatronic and it was broken when we put it together but they would not take it back because we got it on clearance. This experience was the absolute worst customer service ever. While the customer service representatives in the store appeared to be helpful, it simply wasn't the case. . I would tell everyone to never purchase an appliance from Home Depot. I have been lied to, misled, disrespected, and dismissed. I cannot imagine an experience that would be worse than what I experienced at this store. The sales person was wonderful, and I have no complaints about the person trying to make a sale. I believed that the customer service representatives were helpful, but that has proved to be false. The delivery experience was beyond awful, and I cannot truly relay how terrible the experience of delivery and installation has been. It was convenient to buy a gas grill online while my husband was recuperating from a health issue. I found one on the Home Depot website advertised on sale that fit our needs. It was also convenient to have the option to have it assembled before we picked it up. My son picked it up and brought it to us. When we got the plastic off and started hooking up the propane tank we began to notice these problems: rusty screws, large decal/signs disintegrated into the metal, grill clamp missing. It had obviously been sitting outside for quite awhile so I guess that's why it was on sale. We are not too happy with it. My suggestion to HD management would be to sell damaged merchandise in person only, and don't sell damaged items online. read more

TL;DR Review: You probably know all about this joint, but you should also know I really like it. My kids LOVE the monthly kids workshops. It's the first Saturday of every month, and most of the time my eight year old reminds me. If you get there early enough, they give you an orange apron and the kit to build whatever craft they're doing. It's mostly parent-guided; no real demonstration on how to do it, but if you want to teach your kids their way around a hammer and nail, I highly recommend it. You can also paint it. So far they've built a desk calendar with two cubes that you can turn to make the two-digit date, a set of bookworm book ends, and a football game where you kick a "ball" through uprights. Apart from the kids' workshops, I feel the need to offset the negative reviews for customer service. Someone once told me, when we were discussing the "Lowe's or HD" question, that he liked HD because "they treat you like an adult," and then he reminded me of their old slogan, "You can do it. We can help." Every time I go to Home Depot I find this slogan revived. They have people working in their departments that are actually knowledgeable, and they don't mind sharing at all. read more

We ordered a chainsaw in store to have it delivered to our home. While ordering the chainsaw, it was ringing us at the incorrect price. It took them three employees and 45 minutes to figure out how to correct the price. Then, when we noticed the chainsaw had not been delivered by the expected delivery date, we immediately contacted the store. They informed us that the purchase was cancelled. We had not canceled it. They said we should see a refund in 3-5 days. Five days later, no refund. I contacted the store and they put me on hold for at least an hour with no resolution. Then i reached out to the 1800 customer support line nd ended up on the phone for another hour and a half. I was told that my order was combined with another order that paid in cash. Therefore, I had to physically go into the store for the refund. That same night we went to the store for our refund. Two employees were having trouble processing our refund, therefore we decided to walk the store and let them figure it out. An hour of wandering the store we cane back to the support desk and was told that IT was working on the issue and to come back later. A day later we called the store and they still have no resolution. At this point we have spend over 4 hours trying to get our refund. We cannot continue to keep following up, getting stuck on hold, and taking countless hours out of our workday to chase down the refund we re entitled to. We will no longer be Home Depot customers. Rented a 3 ton excavator from here, the only one they had. Worked for 5 hrs the first day before dying. Called service department and they sent someone out the next day that tinkered with it for a moment then said the throttle was being used too high and to back off of it and it should be fine. Third day with it the machine would run for approximately 20 mins or so at the recommended throttle speed then die. Called service a second time and they came out again and told me they've had ongoing problems with this machine due to someone diluting the hydraulic fluid with water. He tells me to run it with the throttle in one spot and it'll work so I did that. Still it'll run for 20 mins then die. Day 4 I decided I'm done fighting this machine that they clearly know has problems so I bring it back and request to be discounted for the nightmare situation they've put me through renting me a machine they know does not function and the manager Wes offered me 200$ off of my now 1400$ bill, absolutely nothing in comparison. This place is a scam and I'll never do business with this store again. I highly recommend against it to anyone considering. read more

Do not rent any power tools from this location. The staff in the tool rental department are rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. They rented me a chainsaw that literally cut less than 5 minutes before the chain dulled. When I returned it early the next day, they didn't ask any questions in regards to how I used the equipment to gain a better idea of why they chain was dull. They immediately put all the blame on me and told me I must have cut some dirt or a rock and this it was impossible for them to have potentially made an error because they are perfect and don't make mistakes. After blaming me in front of other customers, they proceeded to argue with me telling me I should have brought it back last night when I told them in the first place when I rented it that that I was only renting it overnight because I could not return later that day. They refused me any sort of rain check or refund. I asked to speak to a manager and they told me they were the managers, which they were not. I then got a store manager who was only slight more competent. After explaining that not only did the equipment not perform as advertised, but that his staff was very rude and dismissive he gave me $15 off of the $65 charge. I will be doing all of my Big Store shopping at Lowe's going forward. And as a realtor I will be advising all my clients and contractors to take their business elsewhere. read more

Went to the store today to pick up my online order that had partially filled. The CSR could find it because it had shipped to the southwest Little Rock store. No further explanation was given. I called the HD online order service to cancel the order since it was sent to the wrong store. After I called a third time it took 26 minutes to cancel the order. I never encountered anyone with the critical thinking skills to explain what happened to my order. I give Home Depot a zero for taking care of the customer. read more

The company is well established so there's no need to go on about all of Home Depot or how handy the iPhone app is in the store, (the app will tell you exactly where an item is on the aisle.) but I can say I was in a Home Depot in Dallas this last weekend and it made me realize how great this one in little rock is. Here Everything is clean and properly organized. I can walk right up to where a item is s'pose to be and it seems like it's always there. It's perfect. The poor store in Dallas was not so nice. It was like an Easter egg Hunt to find several items in the electrical dept. I live right around the corner and I like to think I'm handy, so I'm in the store often looking for bits and pieces for my latest project. There is even a large sign on the entrance detailing the weekly workshops (included the one I signed up for). The staff was frustrated and generally unhelpful. Update: Unfortunately for me I'm in the process of renovating my house and this Home Depot is the closest one. Today (11-01-15) I returned some unopened tile that I bought yesterday and the returns cashier (Brenda) would not refund the money to my card even though I had a receipt. I ordered French Doors for my house back in May. I sat for 2 hours in front of a guy working on his computer before he acknowledged me. I was given an outrageous price but had to replace sliding doors that were broken. I needed them by July 4th and was promised I would have them by the end of June. I called numerous times but no one ever called me back. I went to the store a few days before the holiday weekend and was told they had arrived damaged a week before. No one called me! The guy I was talking to then proceeded to work on his computer for 30 minutes while I waited. He said he had reordered them and they would arrive August 9th. I still don't have my doors and I have made 2 payments. The doors cost 3,550 while my neighbor got the same doors for 1800 two years ago. The absolute worst customer service ever. Gotta give Home Depot five stars. I've ordered several appliances from them over the past few months and gotten exceptional treatment each time. The service people, all wearing masks, are fast, professional and top notch in every way. It is easy to reach customer service, and they will work with you whatever the issue. I'd ordered a dishwasher, but when they delivered it, the opening it was to go in wasn't large enough. Not their fault! However, they graciously returned the dishwasher to Maytag and refunded my money. Their installation fees are completely reasonable. I am not used to home projects going off without a hitch, but with HD everything's smooth. I will continue to buy all my appliances from them. read more

This is absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had! Last week my wife and I bought a washer for laundry from Home Depot. We explained to them that we needed it delivered and installed upstairs. No one - not a manager, not a sales person, not an associate, no one at all told us that their delivery people could not lift the washer above their knees!! I'm not sure how they expected to get it up the stairs without lifting it above their knees but when the delivery people got to my home with my washer, they said they couldn't do anything for me and they could leave the washer there or they could take it with him. I was upset obviously. They left with my washer before I could call the manager on duty at my Home Depot store and I eventually spent the rest of the day trying to get Home Depot to provide me with some semblance of customer service. This is the most ridiculous situation I've heard of! You sell me a washer and tell me that you can install it upstairs which was explicitly defined at the purchase time, and then when it comes down to it, the delivery / installation company will not follow through with the promise that your company made to me - the customer. As far as I remember being taught about customer service, the customer is the boss! You guys have a primary dysfunction understanding this. I would get right to work on that if I were you. I'm going to tell everyone I know never, never, never trust Home Depot for any semblance of customer service at all!! One seriously pissed off individual!! read more

Home Depot is a DISGRACE. Please share: shop at LOWE's (or anywhere else). Here's why... my dad went to check out the other day and showed the cashier his VA card. She said it would no longer work for their discount (policy change? Because it has worked before). Manager involved. Same story. Dad leaves, no discount, but buys what he came to get. I'm PISSED and call corporate. She tells me that the military discount is for active duty, disabled veterans, or military members who have 20+ years of service. My dad served TWO terms in Vietnam and is NO less deserving of military recognition than the active duty who just enlisted yesterday. Home Depot should be ashamed of themselves. I realize not everyone gives military discounts, and to each his own there.... but if you are going to offer it, then it should be offered to EVERY SINGLE PERSON WHO HAS FOUGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY! Home Depot Little Rock loses a star because most of the garden store staff know little about the plants they're selling. I have been here 3-4 times since moving to Little Rock, mainly because I had a coupon. Usually the staff is not very helpful or friendly. I had a coupon for 10% off, and they almost wouldn't take it because it wasn't printed, even though the directions clearly stated that the clerk was to tear it up after use. The clerk finally called her manager, who allowed her to just input the numbers off my phone. The staff just acts like they could not care less whether they have my business. We recently purchased a GE washer & dryer to be delivered on 2/14/2020. The day before we received a call that the delivery was scheduled to arrive between 2:00 - 6:00 p.m. At 7:45 a.m. on delivery day, I received a call stating that delivery truck was 20 minutes away. I was like - well you are suppose to be here between 2:00-6:00 but ok, I'm home so go ahead. About 30 minutes later I got a call that truck will not come down our driveway because tree branches are going to scratch the top of the truck but if we have a pickup truck, they can load it in there and deliver, install and remove our old units (which we had pre-paid to do). Well since they were 6 hours early, my husband with his pickup truck was not home. After much back and forth and the driver of the delivery truck arguing with me that I got a call that time changed (which I NEVER received), the driver ended up leaving the units at the entrance to our driveway and we moved them and installed ourselves. I called the salesman at the store the same morning and he assured me he would report to Store Manager and get back to me that day. Well - 2 days later and I've heard nothing. Guess with customer service like this, I'll stick to Amazon. At least UPS and FedEx will deliver to our door. read more
